Very unhappy with the service here. The treatment itself was fine, but the billing has been a nightmare. It's been almost a year with no resolution, no reimbursement, no callbacks, and I keep getting the runaround every time I reach out for help with my account. They were friendly and quick to take my payment at the time of service, but after that, communication completely stopped. I feel ignored and frustrated. If i could leave zero stars I would. The front desk workers, the women specifically are horrible. They are rude and condescending not to mention, unprofessional. Another thing is that they were making fun of my sibling while they were put to sleep with anesthesia- I have video evidence if needed, of the rude woman in the front desk speaking and specifically pointing my sister out to poke fun at. She had called my father's name over make fun of my sibling . Another thing she did was she would not answer me at all, or make eye contact with me, who was the patient, my sister's, driver, which was very unhelpful. I also over heard them on the phone being rude to patients calling, throwing attitude saying things like, "bruh who is calling us now" or hanging up rudely then laughing. These workers need training in customer service. read more

This is long overdue, 2021 I went to Dr. Hoffman as a second opinion on a front lower tooth #26 that my regular DDS had completed a root canal on 2015 and had become severely infected and never told me of the infection. After seeking an opinion from an Endodontist near Dr. Hoffman's office for a gum infection near the tooth is when I learned of the infection. My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Hoffmann. She had a bit of a complicated case with a nerves that were intertwine with the roots of the teeth. He showed us on the CT where the challenge was. With Masterful skill Dr. Hoffmann was able to remove the each one without causing nerve damage or excessive trauma to the gum. Dr. Hoffmann did an amazing job reviewing the procedure and left no question unanswered. I do not believe there is a better Oral Surgeon out there. Dr. Keith Hoffmann is not only an amazing Maxillofacial Oral Surgeon but also just an incredible soul! 5-STARS all the way! His office is on Katella Avenue in Orange, CA. The office staff is extremely helpful, professional and very pleasant. Dr. Hoffman is a seasoned Maxiofacial Oral Surgeon & he came HIGHLY recommended to me! It is in my opinion that Dr. Hoffman was very humbly willing to take a risk in helping me. I was honestly at my end and I was about to give up, but Dr. Hoffman gave me hope and he was willing to help me when no one else would! Dr. Hoffman took on my case when no other oral surgeon would close the hole in my jawbone for me because "the damage had already been done by another dentist" so no one else wanted to touch it. I literally spent over two years searching for assistance, advice & help before Dr. Hoffman came to my rescue! Dr.Hoffmann is my HERO!! who saved me from the horrible horror my previous dentist made in my mouth. My previous dentist Dr.Park at Gentle Dental in Orange was not able to extract my right tooth but that was after she tortured me for 4 hours trying to extract it! Tugging and pulling so hard and drilling! Keep in mind this is not what I needed done I had no issues with my right tooth went in for pain on my left side and walked out with pain on my right side but because they want more money to bill my insurance for services that I did not need! She promised me I will be ok and that I don't need that one removed after all. Well I was NOT ok! the pain was intolerable so I went back then she put stucco and said if pain does not go away I need to see an oral specialist. Oh and that was after I paid $200 out of pocket and they billed my insurance for 2 extractions when they only performed one. So yes insurance fraud. When I told them to adjust the billing they said oh no we can't that's the way we bill the insurance we bill all at once together, we can't break it down. I wanted nothing to do with this dentist!! I didn't even go to the specialist SHE referred me to! I searched my own. I found Dr. Dimitri Jim Grammas for a second opinion and evaluation I spoke to Stephanie who after explaining what happened was not trying to take my money or waste my time and referred me to Dr. Hoffmann. I called spoke to Kristina who was so kind and very quick to help set up my appointment explained all my options if I wanted to be awake or asleep for the procedure estimated my out of pocket cost she was awesome!! Kristina and I'm sorry can't remember her name who took my X-rays Sheryl? I think we're angels!!! And so was the dental assistant she was so kind and gentle in my mouth with helping the doctor. They had recommended me to be asleep for the procedure because the Doctor really had to dig in there, but my insurance did not cover anesthesia so it would have cost me $500, that is a lot of money so I decided to give it a try just awake and see if Dr. Hoffmann can do it and he did it like a pro! The whole process was so quick!! Less than an hour he was done!! I didn't even know if he had extracted it or not because he was that quick! And so gentle And after going through the pain and discomfort my previous dentist put me through I was expecting a lot worse pain, the whole time Dr.Hoffmann was explaining what he was doing and made sure I was ok. He was so gentle and very thorough. I was so happy leaving there that finally my 3 weeks of pain was over!! And I didn't have to pay a hefty bill. I am so thankful that I found Dr.Hoffmann I will definitely recommend him to anyone who needs services. I finally can eat and sleep through the night without the horrible pain. I saw Dr. Hoffman twice, once for the surgery consult and then for the surgery. At the surgery consult he was very honest with me about my situation. I HAD to have surgery to correct the issue but he explained the procedure was a difficult one and there could be lots of bad outcomes due to the situation/location of the tooth. I asked him if he was confident in performing the surgery and he said he was and I trusted him. He spent a ton of time explaining the procedure and why it could be very complicated. His staff was also wonderful and very sympathetic to my situation. I didn't feel great about having the surgery because of the location and high potential complications but I went into it VERY informed and I prefer it that way. I also NEEDED the procedure to prevent the situation from becoming worse. Long story short, Dr. Hoffman was a rock star surgeon. Even with the high likelihood of complications and the difficulty of the surgery, he nailed it! Seriously, the odds were more probable than not, my nasal cavity would require reconstruction but he was able to remove the tooth without that happening. It was not an easy thing to do but he made it happen. Cannot recommend him more highly! read more

We had a terrific experience with Dr. Hoffmann and his staff. Dr. Hoffmann performed a surgery for me several years ago and I had a very good experience. When our son's orthodontist recommended review of his wisdom teeth we went to see Dr. Hoffmann. We took our son to Dr. Hoffmann for a consult regarding his wisdom teeth. Getting an appointment was easy and he had reasonable availability. His staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Hoffmann explained in a simple way the status of our son's wisdom teeth, a reasonable timeline for addressing any problems they are likely to cause, and explained possible issues if they were not removed. He was open that there was no urgent need to remove them. We decided to go ahead and have them removed this summer to better manage our son's activities in the next couple of years. He had an opening at a convenient time and scheduling the procedure was also simple. In advance of the procedure we were notified of what to expect and given resources to manage the post procedure recovery. On the day of the procedure the staff were helpful and friendly. Our son reported being comfortable and feeling safe with the equipment, procedure, and what was expected from him. The procedure went as expected and our son reported being comfortable during and after. Dr. Hoffmann explained what happened, how things went, and what we could do to help our son be comfortable during recovery. Dr. Hoffmann is a terrific oral surgeon who treated us as individuals and with the understand that even though he's done this for decades it was our first time. My dentist recommended I see Dr Hoffmann regarding a tooth implant. I made appt for consultation with Dr Hoffmann and 2 other Oral Surgeons. The other 2 Doctors I had consultations were fabulous!! They were 20-30 minutes long, on time, concise and free. I have already finalized with one of them to perform my tooth implant. Dr Hoffmann: 1. Made me wait a unacceptable long time in the waiting room. 2. After I waited 25 minutes he then spent 45 minutes repeating himself over and over and still ended up being vague. Plus now I was late for my next appt. 3. Was in favor of total IV sedation (which I said I was against). 4. I just a got a bill for $95 for what I thought was a free consultation like the other 2 doctors. I will pay the bill, write a poor review and move on knowing that I avoided making a mistake by avoiding Dr Hoffmann. read more

Dr Hoffmann performed a complex extraction on my lower left molar yesterday. I am a 64 year old female in otherwise good health. Potential compications were presented due to the proximity of the molar to my embedded yet healthy wisom tooth and the nerve serving my facial (lip) muscles. It was of utmost importance that we not distub either of these obstacles while removing the molar. My experience with all staff from consultation through discharge was personable, calming, smooth, efficient, caring and above all skilled. One minute I was awake and alert, before I knew it, everything was completed and my husband was waiting to take me home. I rested very comfortably at home without experiencing pain for 24 hours, then was ready to ease back into my regular work routines. I am grateful for the professionalism of this team. It's been two years that I've delayed any consultation about my extra molar between my teeth on my lower left. My dentist recommended me Dr. Hoffman for the surgery and I was fully hooked. I made my appointment and had a consultation about what my options can be. He showed me x-rays and a 3D sculpture of my teeth and how he will do the surgery. I felt very comfortable about the situation and decided to remove all five of my teeth (four wisdom and one extra molar). Luckily I was able to get them removed two days later. The surgery went well, didn't feel any pain until the next day. I recovered very quickly within a week and had a check up exactly a week after. The staff is great, very friendly and willing to answer questions as well. I would refer to him again for any other oral surgeries needed. read more

You might want to prescribe something that you can actually get, NOBODY in the entire city could fill our prescription, this couldn't be the first time you heard this. AND, you might want to give the prescription to the clients parents when we arrived instead of 6 hours later when the child is in pain. I could have received a replacement prescription in the morning and had it filled by the time she was released instead of wasting time. Also, I asked the Dr to explain something to me and he said "maybe we shouldn't do the extraction as all today" gees, I just wanted an explanation, I wasn't disagreeing with him. read more

I came here to get 3 wisdom teeth out a few years ago so I am a little behind on my review, but its still worth writing about. I had such an easy and smooth overall experience. I left the morning after surgery without any pain, and the bleeding stopped that night! I have heard so many horror stories of people getting their wisdom teeth out, and I just felt like the work was done so well. I felt like I could have gone back to work the next day, no problem.
