I finally decided recently that enough is enough and it's time for me to finally get them out. I received a referral from my dentist to come to OC Max Surgery. Making a consultation appointment here was super easy and I was able to come in within the week. Upon walking in, the staff was extremely friendly and greeted me with kindness. Checking in was very simple and the wait was not long. The facility overall is very clean and well kept with lots of great up to date technology. I had my consultation appointment with Jennifer and Dr. Farshidi, whom were both great. After Jennifer helped do my xrays, Dr. Farshidi said that one of my wisdom teeth was wrapped around a nerve, which made me anxious to hear at first, but he explained very clearly his strategy to keep my nerves safe and have a comfortable procedure, which put me to ease immediately. Jennifer and Dr. Farshidi also did a great job of informing me of how to prepare before my surgery and how to take care of myself after. Leaving me with all the tools needed to make this surgery as comfortable as possible. The day of the surgery I was able to check in quickly and they took me back to the surgery room. The nurses that were getting me ready were all very nice and made sure that I had an anxiety-free experience before the operation. The days following my surgery were honestly not bad at all. I had little to no pain and swelling the first few days. By day 4 post-op, the remaining pain and swelling had completely passed and I was pretty much back to normal. The post-op instructions given to me were very clear and concise which also really helped me have a smooth post-op recovery. I just came in today for my one week post-op check up with Nancy. Nancy said everything looked great and showed me how to go about irrigating my sockets. She was extremely friendly, patient, and very willing to answer all the questions I had. At one week post-op, I feel fabulous with absolutely zero pain, swelling, or other discomfort, and that's all thanks to the wonderful OC Max Surgery team! Thank you so much Dr. Farshidi, Jennifer, Nancy, and the rest of the staff here for all your kindness and support, you have all made this a very comfortable process for me and I'm so grateful. The original dental office agreed to give me a discount due to this, this ended up pushing everything back and I was not too happy as you would know since it's not a pleasant few months after the extraction surgery is complete. Went back a few times due to excruciating pain during healing, was taken care of quick and they were at least accommodating. Imagine if this was another procedure, and they simply "forgot" to do a procedure. Maybe there were miscommunication, procedures were professional and painless due to anesthesia. I blinked and it was over for both times. Dr. Tran kept checking up on me, she was very accommodating unlike other staff there.

Went to OC Smiles on Friday 3/13/26 for a loose implant because my dentist is closed on Fridays…read more Helena was great and the only good thing i will have to say about my experience. I didn't need a diagnosis, since I told the dentist that my implant was loose. He decided to take a ct scan, charge me for it and charge me for his false "diagnosis." $290 later.. he told me I need a New crown and wanted me to pay $2900 to return for 2 more visits to "fix" it. I Declined his outrageous treatment plan, knowing my implant was just loose. I waited until Monday with no problems and went to my dentist Dr. John Vartanian (Newport Beach) who did the implant for me. He tightened the screw and I was out of there in 10 minutes for free. I believe SoCal Smiles owes me $290 back for their unnecessary scan and incorrect diagnosis. They were trying to sell me something I didn't need and I'm quite upset about how this was handled when I brought it to their attention. I would go elsewhere and not trust this place with your time or money.

After several weeks of unsuccessful coordination, my father developed a fever and was admitted through the emergency department, where we met Dr. Thiede. Dr. Thiede evaluated my father in the hospital and proceeded with the removal of all infected teeth. My father was admitted on a Friday evening, seen by Dr. Thiede on Saturday morning, and the procedure was appropriately scheduled and completed on Sunday. Dr. Thiede was thorough, patient, and took the time to answer all questions, which was greatly appreciated given the complexity of my father's medical condition. The office and hospital staff were also professional, kind, and accommodating. During a follow-up visit, our wheelchair transport service canceled at the last minute, and my father had not been eating for several days post-discharge. Despite scheduling constraints, the staff accommodated his appointment without hesitation and without making us feel at fault. As a result of the care provided, my father is recovering well and has been able to resume eating. I am sincerely grateful to Dr. Thiede and his team for their professionalism, coordination of care, and compassionate approach in a medically complex case.
