I was looking for a second opinion on dental diagnosis of need for molar extraction due to bone loss and infection. Upon visiting Dr Grant it became clear to me that she and her office would become the oral surgeon to do my extraction and bone graft. Very clearly communicated. Then last Monday the procedure was done. Assistant Wesley was very helpful, compassionate and thorough in prep process. Dr Grant was extremely gentle, and caring. Frankly I apparently awoke never knowing that the procedure was done. I've suffered zero pain, bone graft in place and now everything is healing perfectly. Thank you Dr Grant and staff. read more

This review has been a long time coming, and I finally am getting around to doing it. I had my wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Grant back in 2018, and I have never stopped talking about what a wonderful oral surgeon she was to all of my friends, family, and peers. I am a general dentist myself, so I'm even more critical about the care that I receive. Dr. Grant is extremely talented at what she does. Another doctor told me that they could not completely remove my wisdom teeth and suggested to do a coronectomy, which is where they cut off the crowns and leave the roots, which I absolutely did not want. I wanted my wisdom teeth completely out, and Dr. Grant was able to completely remove them. The night of, after my surgery, she called to follow up with me, and it really shows me that she cares about the patients that she treats. Thank you, Dr. Grant for a good experience! read more

Took me awhile to find my records & remember name of BEST ORAL DENTAL SURGEON IVE EVER HAD-SEEN! Dr. Bao Grant!! Small lady that knows her stuff, knocks u out if need, does fabulous work & I healed faster then any Before or Since! Had I remembered the name, I would have used recently, as my dad has gifted me with dental work & new caps for front teeth that were knocked put at 21 (when thrown n pool, hands behind bk) & more work for my birthday gift. Sadly I went to another & got Tortured by, as did Not knock me out (& site states, NEVER TO LITTLE OR TO MUCH!????), as I was awake screaming through 2 extractions 1 of broken tooth (why the other tooth?) and stitches! This center made everything so easy! From check in to the procedure I could not have asked for a more efficient process. All of the risks and benefits were explained to me in regard to my wisdom tooth extraction and while I expected to go in there having both of my top wisdom teeth removed, the doctor explained that removing only the one that was bothering me would be the best option. I was grateful that he was honest in advising me of the risks of having any other teeth removed and showed he truly cared about his patients satisfaction and health. Highly recommend! read more

Despite her already full schedule, Dr. Grant fit our son in for surgery this morning because she was concerned about the time-sensitive nature of the procedure he required. Upon our arrival, the entire office staff was incredibly professional, helpful, and caring. Dr. Grant explained, in detail, exactly what the surgery would entail, projecting confidence, which was very reassuring. She was very comforting with our son, but she also respected the teenage boy he is which we appreciated. She asked about the music he likes and played his favorite hip hop music at the beginning of the surgery. He mentioned afterwards how comforting this was for him. She also took the time to see how I was as a parent having experienced this recent traumatic event, and was very reassuring to me as well. Our daughter also had her wisdom teeth out at this practice and they consistently do an exemplary job, both during the surgery and in pre and post-care of their patients. Dr. Grant always calls to personally check in on her patients which is pretty unheard of these days. We highly recommend this practice and we can't thank Dr. Grant enough for fitting our son in today and going above and beyond in patient care. read more

I had my wisdom teeth removed this week by Dr. James Mergelmeyer and I can't recommend him more as an oral surgeon. One of the nicest doctors I have ever interacted with and he had my full undivided trust through my consultation and surgery. It went so smoothly and quickly, and he even called me himself to check on how I was doing that evening. And I can't forget all of the girls that work in this office. I had been procrastinating my wisdom teeth extractions for fear of it. After several months of one tooth making me uncomfortable and to the advice of my dentist I decided to go and get it over with. I chose Dr. Mergelmeyer because just a couple months prior this, my son had his wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Mergelmeyer and he did great! The staff is second to none, the place is clean and all looked good. I had my first consultation with the doctor and it was almost like he could read my mind because he would explain with detail every question I could've ever had before I even asked. I had the procedure done and it's was super easy! Doctor Mergelmeyer called me that same day to check up on me and was very nice and reassuring. I developed a dry socket five days after the procedure and to be completely honest, it was all my fault. I did not take good care of myself and figured I could "skip" the Doctor's advice and I was so embarrassed about not having followed the Doctor's orders that I figured I would as a punishment to myself deal with the pain. Well it was a horrific pain and couldn't even focus on anything. I decided to call the office and the doctor immediately took my call and was very concerned and helped me through it with so much kindness. The rest of that week was a blurry mess but to make this long story short, Doctor Mergelmeyer was so kind and concerned and so genuine. That is what prompted me to write this. If you are going to have your teeth extracted or any other procedure and it can be done by Doctor Mergelmeyer, don't think twice! The man is an angel from God. Dr. Grant did an amazing job with my 8 year old son. She answered all his questions and made sure he understood the whole process of having his internal tooth removed. She made him feel completely comfortable with her during his initial visits. He got a little nervous as the day for his surgery got close. Some kids at school were telling him about the bad experiences they had. Once we got to the office she reassured him everything would be okay and addressed all his worries. Everything went as expected and his removal was completed quickly. He recovered in no time. I even got a personal call from her in the evening to check up on him. This is the sweetest office. They are so sweet and personable. They really make you feel like family. It can be a scary situation to have a tooth pulled (or multiple) and they do the best they can to make you feel comfortable. I stayed awake for my procedure and they walked me through the whole thing like my own personal cheerleaders. Got my two bottom wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Grant earlier this year; what an at ease experience! Dr. Grant was very informative on the procedure, and answered any questions me and my mother had. After the surgery, I woke up with little to minimal pain. When I started to feel discomfort a few days after the surgery, she was on call and able to answer and questions or concerns I had. I would for sure come back if I needed to get my top wisdom teeth removed. She takes wonderful care of her clients; very impressed! read more

Dr. Poidmore and Dr. Grant have an excellent operation here. I came in to have a broken tooth extracted and all went well. Dr. Poidmore (Dr. Grant's stand in), is very skilled and made quick work of a complicated situation. The pain was excruciating, but the medication prescribed took care of that perfectly. After payment (which was reasonable for the intense work), I left and went on my way with a giant hole in my mouth. It has since healed up nicely! To top it off, I just received a check for $93 in the mail as a refund from Dr. Grant's office because insurance paid out more than they had anticipated. Instead of pocketing the payout, they promptly sent it my way! I love an honest business! I highly recommend this office! read more

I have always heard the horror stories of getting your wisdom teeth removed. I know every case is different but in my case it was actually one of the most easy procedures I have ever had. I don't remember much (obviously) but I do remember before and after being put under. The staff and Dr. Grant were amazing. Well, here is a much deserving 4th review! I recently made an appointment to see Dr. Do for a wisdom tooth extraction. This appointment had been a very unexpected one, since Dr. Ali Mansouri of Serene Dental strongly recommended I go there because of a suspected infection as a result of me experiencing significant pain when drinking cold liquids. Being very apprehensive concerning my FIRST visit to an oral surgeon, I had many questions, for example: (a) How long would the procedure take? (b) How much residual pain would I'd be experiencing after the anesthesia had worn off. (c) How much would the entire procedure cost, especially out of pocket?- since my dental insurance was practically depleted for the entire year as a result of visiting Serene dental for a separate root canal/crown procedure on an adjacent tooth. While other questions entered my mind, they were all cheerfully & patiently answered during the initial consultation visit a week ago when Dr. Do & the very informed, personable & professional staff greeted me and answered all of my questions & concerns regarding the procedure. Then as recently as yesterday, just prior to the actual wisdom tooth work being performed, the treatment coordinator patiently went over a few release forms to sign, & then I was cheerfully escorted back to a room where the surgery/extraction was performed under a conscious sedation protocol. Now after about an hour, It was all over, at last. A bit groggy as expected, with a touch of mild amnesia, I was driven home by a family friend - then received a few hours later an unexpected, but very welcome followup call from Dr. Do himself. He simply was checking up on me to inquire how I was doing, & whether I had more questions to ask him. Unfortunately, by this time, the anesthesia had already worn off & I was now experiencing significant pain at the point of extraction. He was informed of this, & told me to immediately fill the antibiotic/Ibuprofin prescriptions. Happily a few hours later, most of the discomfort had worn off, and presently as I write this review, the pain is now at a manageable level :-) Incidently, just how many Doctors out there would actually take the time out of a very busy schedule to make a followup call on their patient's welfare?? Doesn't happen that often, you think? In closing, I would like to say that based upon my personal experience under the highly skilled hands of Dr. Do, assisted by his very warm, knowledgeable staff, I left the premises feeling very fortunate that I got referred to this particular practice :-) read more

I went in for impacted wisdom teeth on my lower jaw. I put this off for so long because I was so scared. As soon as I went in they took my xrays and told me about the procedure. They were able to take me in as soon as a week for the oral surgery. I was starting to get pain and presure do I just wanted it out ASAP. Dr. grant and her staff were all so friendly and helpful. Gave me all the Information I needed in a goody bag with gauze. She even called me that night to see how I was feeling and made sure I was taking my medication. So sweet!
