The explanation given was that they were delayed on the Cuesta Grade. We scheduled the first cleaning for 2:00PM. At 7:30AM that morning, they contacted me to ask if they could come at 8:30AM instead due to a cancellation. While I understand that schedules can change, I was not able to rearrange my day on such short notice and asked to keep our agreed-upon time. They said that would not work for them, and canceled cleaning at all. Honesty and reliability are essential qualities in a service provider, and they don't seem to have either.

I received a great range of quotes and Sparkle & Shine Cleaning got back to me quickly and asked the right questions to dial in a reasonable quote (I had received some pretty high quotes). They showed up when scheduled and brought a sufficient sized crew and equipment to get the house very clean. This wasn't an easy job as the house was lived-in for 10 years with kids.. and that's all I'm going to say about that. I was even given tips on how to deal with the deposits/stains that are common in the area from our very hard water. They were very thorough and it was obvious to me that they take great pride in their excellent work. I was so moved I left the highest tip I could afford. She came over to see my house and gave me an estimate on what it would cost to start cleaning for me, wanting to do a deep clean the first time which would cost extra. I was fine with that since my house needed quite a lot of cleaning and I set up a time for her to come clean my house. I should mention she was late to the first meeting, having to text me to reschedule a couple times that day. No big deal, but it's something to take a note of The next day she was supposed to be at my house at 9 o'clock and then she texted me to say now she cannot come till 10 o'clock, which is a problem since I had family coming into town later that day. But I said it's fine. we'll make it work. Just come over and start cleaning She showed up with her husband and they got to work and I felt like it was gonna go great cause they seem to be working hard. We left the house to get out of their way. When we initially talked, she had agreed that she would clean for me for three hours each week and then the deep cleaning would be even longer because so much needed to be done. Not two hours and 20 minutes after she arrived she texted me to say they were all done. Well that was surprising because I would think it would take at least four or five hours to clean my house really well. When we came home, I was shocked at what a poor job was done. It was almost like a joke. Just look at the photos and you will see the evidence of how bad of the job that was done. They didn't even barely look at my kitchen. They didn't vacuum my couch at all. I found a bag of licorice and a sweater and the couch cushions when she was supposed to take the entire thing apart and document. It wasn't even vacuumed, even the top of it. Almost nothing that we agreed upon to get done was done. I feel like I was completely taken advantage of, and I almost feel like I was scammed. Unfortunately, I paid her before I got home so now I cannot get any of the money back. I asked her to give me a partial refund and she has refused saying that she wants to come over and finish the job. Well, that's not what I'm comfortable with because she did such a bad job and I just don't want her to come back. I think she is unreliable and I am uncomfortable now with her being at my house so I would like her to refund me half of what I paid. I think that's extremely fair considering I'm still gonna have to hire someone else to do the job that she didn't do. Beware of this company, I am not a person that normally leaves bad reviews but in this situation, I feel like I have to warn others.
