The slides were SO long! I really liked the turf ground cover! Looks great! No mess! No watering! Soft to land on. We didn't walk around the " fitness track" area but it appeared to have exercise equipment along the trail. The one thing that would have been nice would be a restroom. (Unless I'm mistaken and didn't see it). Of course my kids had to "go" like 20 minutes after we arrived so we had to leave. We'll be back!

This place is also referred to as the Watersong Wild Space. The weather could not have been more perfect on that Sunday, January 4, 2026. It's not the most amazing place due to the dry climate and flat lands, but for Midland it was a cool find - plus it was all free. Free parking. Free entrance. I could definitely hear the droning tires on the Interstate nearby, but viewing nature was refreshing. A caliche road leads to the parking lot. Look out for mesquite trees that might scratch your vehicle up if you get too close. The biggest drawback had to be that dogs are not allowed. No bicycles allowed either. Just please have your party dispose of their trash properly at the main pedestrian entrance. Closed on Monday.

Decent little park on the corner of E. Golf Course Rd and N Tilden St. play equipment states for…read morechildren ages 5-12 but my 3 year old was able to climb and have fun too. Along with the playground, this park also includes a baseketball court and a baseball/kickball field. Part of this playground has that cushy rubber ground cover and the rest has wood chips. My main issue with this park is the playground's proximity to the road. It makes me SUPER NERVOUS. There are some drivers going entirely WAY TOO F-ING fast down E Golf Course and I worry about my littlest wandering off into the street. Therefore, I position myself between the playground and the street. All in all, decent playground but I find myself on edge the whole time we're here due to the traffic.

The playground itself isn't HUGE but they had fun. I don't really like how far away the swings and spinning equipment is from the main playground. It's hard to keep an eye on different kids when they are so spread out. I did like that the main playground has the rubber ground cover but the swings and the spinning "thing" had those messy wood chips There are MANY walking paths around the park. They all zig zag around. Incorporated around the trails are some built in workout equipment. A couple picnic tables are here as well so pack a lunch! I guess they are fracking right next to the playground. There is a huge barrier wall which I had to inquire about. I was told that was supposed to help sound proof... I didn't hear anything so either it works or they weren't actually doing it at the moment. We liked this park so we'll be back.

The course itself is beautiful and generally well maintained, which keeps me coming back. That said, my experience with the front desk staff hasn't always matched the quality of the course. Interactions tend to feel a bit rushed and not very welcoming--usually just a quick "what's your tee time?" with little friendliness or conversation. I understand everyone has off days, but a more positive and inviting atmosphere would really elevate the overall experience. I still enjoy playing here and would recommend it for the course itself. With a slightly more welcoming approach up front, this place could easily be a top-tier experience all around.

Okay, so a buddy and I finally made it by Family Armory today; not the greatest first impression,…read morebut everybody does have an off day now and again. The first thing that struck me as odd, is that they have no firearms in the glass cases for sale. "All of our sales are online, or we can sell you a rental at a discounted rate", was the response I received when I inquired, my buddy just stared at me. So, now let's get to why I finished the intro to this the way I did. The young lady to the right where the .22lr ammo is kept, was very sweet and friendly, obviously younger, quite cute, she was a pleasure to deal with. The other lady, the extremely thin one with a pony-tail, she was the buzz-kill; not sure if it was the two of us, or if she speaks to everyone like they are completely stupid. My buddy and I took turns asking questions, and she would literally speak So far down her nose to us she nearly fell over forwards. Now I didn't feel the need to express the fact that I am college educated, prior service, and have hunted all of the "Western 11" states, and my buddy is a well adapted, educated, experienced shooter. Every time she would give an answer, it was condescending, and pushed the outer boundaries of being just plain rude. I am not paying someone to be rude to me, you want my money, provide good customer service. One thing for certain, We won't be back, Id rather drive out of town, or go pay higher rates elsewhere. (Don't even get me started on the fact that they had a guy on the range with a mid-powered rifle, rapid firing on a pistol range, sparks everywhere).

If you see these people please tell them they owe a whole lot of money to a whole lot of people who, in good standing, paid yearly memberships and want compensation for the months we will never use due to the fact the owners packed up and left in the middle of the night.

Visited Hill Park today for the first time! It is definitely a nice little park hidden in a…read moreneighborhood. The kids had a great time! There were 2 play areas: one for bigger kids and one for smaller kids. The bigger kids playground had 2 slides and different climbing structures. The smaller kids playground had a duel slide and a moving bridge. There were a few spinning playground pieces as well. Lastly, 2 big kid swings and 2 baby swings rounded out the play equipment. The main negative is that this playground had that messy wood chip ground cover. I personally prefer the squishy rubber ground cover. Hill Park also includes a walking track around an area that occasionally fills up into a pond. During our visit, the pond was there with a few ducks. It was kind of a hassle to have it there as the little kids kept wandering off near it. (Nervous!) We will definitely return! (Totally forgot to take some pictures of this fun little park!)
