My husband loves this pizza. Service is always friendly. Service is quick. Not a lot of room to sit and eat so consider calling ahead.

Here visiting family had the El Guapo so many good pizzas to choose from it was spicy as promised and delicious. The others at the table had subs and they looked and smelled awesome and they raved on how good they were. Biggest plus they have slices and you can order basically any toppings you want. Let me break it down for you.. we used to live less than 5 miles from Hogback, and now we live over 30 miles away. Its totally worth the 60 mile round trip drive for a Large Traditional Neglect or Easy Rider. Even though my hubby & I constantly cannot decide between "cut regular" or "Cut like a pie" I like the squares, he likes the slices. I win sometimes. The employees are awesome & we love the atmosphere. This is some really good pizza, in fact perhaps one of my favorites! It's that thin greasy sort of pizza which you either love, or hate. I for one, love it! You can also get calzones which are also very good. The atmosphere of the place is very nice, and fun. Their are fun pinball machines to play so bring some quarters. The only problem is that it can get a bit crowded, which is a bit tight for the small building. Another thing to note, (which may have been fixed) is that the door to the bathroom just pops open, so knock first. read more

Stopped by on our drive back to California and Yelp did us right. This place was AMAZING!!! Started off with the hogknuckles (pepperoni filled bread knots) and they were delish! Ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and all I can say is WOW! Thin crust pizza done right. Food was delicious and the staff was great. It's a small hole in the wall restaurant with unique decor...good beer on tap...definitely worth trying. I wish I was in town longer to try a different pizza! read more

Great staff, pizzas with generous toppings and cheese, great crust, super flavor. One of my favorite spots to eat in Colorado. We recently moved to New Castle and are so glad they have so many nice restaurants. Hogback is our favorite! The pizzas are excellent and they have a good supply of beer on draft. The staff are very friendly. The atmosphere is very cool. There are pinball machines and interesting memorabilia . They also have a drink and a piece of pizza special for $5.95. Was recommend by a friend.the service was slow,but they were busy, that was understandable. I asked to have the pizza cut in a regular way and was told it was ok. And not a problem. We'll get it home and it wasn't cut I guess it was too busy. Friend called back and tried to talk to somebody phone never picked up . It's ok. Their are others out their. We live on Main Street in New Castle and love Hogback Pizza! Thin crust, tasty toppings, friendly service. We even like how they cut the pizza into small squares. We usually get it to bring home but the new patio looks inviting...we'll be hitting it up in warm weather. read more

The one criticism I have is that It's a bit on the spendy side for a pizza place. Also, when I ordered water they only gave me the option of bottled water.
