The Hogs and Heifers Outpost at the Plaza is a fun place, but it's probably temporary pending the completion of a permanent new location nearby. The bartenders are all women. They are sassy and fun, which is something Hogs and Heifers is known for. The drink prices are reasonable, especially for Vegas. The drill is you must enter from the doors on Main Street in front of the Plaza. Get your ID out because they card everyone no matter how old you look. Cheers! read more

I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area have been going to Hogs and Heifers for the last 10 years. It is by far my favorite dive bar. The owner Michelle is awesome! The service is top notch, the ladies are wonderful even when they are intentionally projecting insults at you with the megaphone. You will get a good laugh. The bartenders dance on the bar top every hour so make sure you get your crap off the bar when they do! Ask for a water or get cocky and you might be wearing the water instead of drinking it. I've been sprayed with the water gun a time or two. Haha! If it's your first time I recommend asking for a "hog piss" shot. They are only $3 at the time of writing this and actually pretty tasty. Don't forget to buy your bartender one as well! The security staff was very professional and they do check IDs. They were on top of everything very discretely without disruption. Shout out to Nathan! Great guy! I had some guy starting an altercation with me thinking my beer was his. The security team noticed the interaction and immediately redirected him without further escalation. This was my first time to the new location and I stayed at the Plaza Hotel just so I was close to my favorite bar. This bar is also very lady friendly, not just for the guys. I see wedding parties come in all the time. Everyone has a blast! Only complaints I had about this location was you had to walk through the casino to use the restroom and then come back. Also the bartenders have to tame it down a bit from their previous location since it's located in a casino. Also if you are easily offended from profanity or crude comments then this isn't the place for you. I personally love it. This is a temporary location and I can't wait for the opening of their new permanent location. I had a great time as always and will be back as always! I highly recommend going to Hogs if you have not been. You will not be disappointed. Don't forget to tip your bartenders! The experience here is one I would describe as being in a movie. When I saw the movie Coyote Ugly where the bar tenders were women and got up on the bar to dance. I thought how fun, I would love a bar like this and I found it in Vegas at the Plaza Hotel. The atmosphere is of pure fun and is not for those who get easily offended. The bar tenders are gorgeous, sexy and sassy! Not for the faint in heart. My favorite bartenders were Brooklyn and Brianna! So sassy and full of life. You walk and they check your ID so don't bring the kids, this is not for them! Security does. It play either, they watch everyone and everything looking out for their all female bartender crew! It was my birthday the day we went and the friends we were with mentioned it which resulted in shots of course! We ordered drinks and just took it all in. Okay so you need to prepare yourself for an experience when coming here! Everyone is carded at the door and the bar area is massive. It is CASH ONLY. The bartenders were always absolutely amazing. Who in the world could give this place 1 star. The wife and I stopped into the location inside the plaza and we had a great time. The bartenders are a blast. Each having their own wild personality, talking sh*t to most the men, dancing, they had us smiling and laughing for a few hours. They hardly let a drink get empty and if they did it was replaced quick. Prices were more than fair for Vegas believe 7-8$ (beer), shots were around $10. This will definitely be a spot we visit every time we are in town. Intro: On my most recent trip to Vegas, we stayed in the Fremont area. My friend recommended that we check out Hogs & Heifers Saloon so we made our way over for a drink at night. Service (2.5/5): Bouncer at front checking IDs. No wait and then we made our way inside of this dive bar. They have signage that you can't record videos inside which I didn't notice. I got called out by a bartender for it. Kind of a weird policy to not allow videos inside a bar. I get that there's novelty here but it seems out of place in 2024. A couple of stars off for the policy. Ambiance (4.5/5): What Hogs & Heifers are known for is that all of their bartenders are female and they all have microphones in hand. They will make fun of people at the bar so you have a constant source of entertainment. For example, if you're a guy and you order a girly drink, expect to face some heat. If you're super sensitive or uptight, this place isn't for you. It's all in good fun and made for a different experience. Food (N/A): We didn't eat and I'm not even sure if they have food. Drinks (3/5): Pretty much your typical dive bar. Heavy on the beer and simple cocktails. They do have a specialty mixed shot that's red. I forgot what it's called but it fits the theme. Let me just start by saying don't come here if you are looking for a quiet drink, craft cocktails, or aren't looking for a dive bar experience. If your thin skinned as well not your place.This is a dive bar on steroids that it very much a biker hangout/bar as well. The bartenders are very entertaining. They are on bullhorns singing to songs. They also occasionally will dance on the bar top and may try to ask you for money because they want to or because it's there birthday. This is a great place to grab a beer and just watch the show. Tourist Trap Not the best experience we've had at H&H. Staff were needlessly aggressive; seemed pissed off for no reason. There were more staff than customers so maybe it was just an off night for them. Regardless a little politeness can go a long way to increasing the tips from the customers you do have. A block away from our hotel, a jaunt from the lurid Fremont Street Experience, my friend and I sought refuge in this bar. A dive, technically downtown but almost feeling like its own little area. Less busy than I thought it would be. The drinks are somewhat expensive: $7 for a PBR, $10 for a shot. And they'll want you to buy a shot for them too. What the place is known for is its bartenders, who have apparently tamed over the years but will still accost you, make piercingly accurate observations based on your appearance, and get you to keep drinking. We even got to see them dance on the table, which was pretty amazing work. These ladies are consummate professionals: as Las Vegas bartenders, they deliver the trademark crassness by turning down the country song's volume to adlib an innuendo via bullhorn. And again, prepare to get roasted. If you are a good sport, you'll find that past the gritty personae these are nice ladies, and they made my friend and I's night one for the memory books. This is definitely a biker fun bar. Yes, it's a dive bar, which is what I am used to. The bartenders were all gals and they definitely did their job in shaming people mainly guys into buying well overpriced drinks. It kind of reminds me of Sturgis, however these bartenders probably wouldn't make the cut. All that my man said was that it's a tourist trap and that he will never come back. This place was fun! We stopped in with some friends for a drink or 5 and had a great time. We were singing, dancing and doing shots. It reminds me of what Coyote Ugly should be. Fun crazy atmosphere, half naked girls dancing on the bar and pouring some delicious drinks. Coyote Ugly is never busy anymore and they charge too much for drinks. This place is cash only, so glad I had some cash on me. Also the other annoying thing is, one of the bartenders kept growling basically in to a megaphone that was really obnoxious. I say no. But I don't ride a Hog, and I don't consider my girlfriend a Heifer. We went in for a drink, and saw plenty of both. If you're into that sort of thing, have at it. But before we move forward with this review, why don't we look into what a "heifer" actually is. The dictionary defines a heifer as: a young female cow that has not borne a calf. Now, you from the Midwest and Texas are quite familiar with this term. It rolls off your tongue as casual as crop rotation, or branding a calf. But I'm sure you join with me in the thought, that branding your woman a heifer, may not be in your best interest. Especially on those cold winter nights, when you may want to borne something other than a calf. A derogatory term is not a good road toward that activity. At the Hog, it's all about being degraded. You pull up on the Harley, pull your significant other off the bitch seat, and head into the dank recesses. The first thing you'll notice is the noise. A bartender using a megaphone, is trying to compete with the loud music. She's spouting insults at some poor tourist, telling him that she's unimpressed with the pebbles in his pants. So there's no lack of humiliation here. If you want it, you'll get it. Me? Well, I just stood to the side with the other bolders and watched the carnage. After adjusting to the environment, the next thing you'll notice, are hundreds of bras hanging in the back of the bar. Heifers of all shapes and sizes have bore their udders to contribute to the display. Whether the herd did a public unveiling or not, I don't know. I wasn't there for the roundup. If you're open to humiliation, then hit the trail for the Hog. If you're craving a seedy atmosphere and potential cheap thrills, then why not graze at the Heif....( by the way, believe me, the real Hef would have given this place a wide berth ). Quick Tip: Hog and Heifer serves Budweiser products, which fits in well with its gritty environment. I say gritty because, not only does the beer taste like fermented sand, it was probably filtered through the gravel of all the balls that the bartenders busted. read more

One of the most bizarre bars I've been too. The first time I can was alright. But on a Fri night recently it was a disaster. Can be kind of fun until the bartenders start acting rude and demanding toward customers, like even engaging in possibly illegal activities such as bullying patrons to buy drinks they ::never ordered in the first place::. Some of the girls working here are nice but I calmly walked out when one of the obnoxious bartenders tried this shit. If they want good tips they can earn them, not bully the patrons into throwing money at them for nothing. They also get pretty racy on the bar when they break out into their little dances and wouldn't be surprised if they even expose parts of themselves, which one of them almost appeared to do. Is this an adult nightclub where nudity is acceptable? And the music here also sucked, all old classic rock with an old, aging jukebox. Our favorite bar ever!!! We always make sure to stop in at hogs! We love the dive bar scene and this place is number one. They are cash only but they have ATM so don't worry. Yeah this place is dirty and nasty and I love the reviewer who warns you to play by the rules - it's the wild Wild West but dark and dumpy, the tunes were melting the walls when we arrived and the bartenders all looked pretty skanky with their megaphones and insinuating filthy mouths - maybe it's roleplaying and not their real lives let's hope. After buying a few overpriced beers we settled back at a barrel table to watch the show. You ain't walking in here with a drink in your hand or without their symbolic wrist band even at 2:00 AM and your attitude is checked at the door by a black shirted bouncer who stands on the sticky floor rolling his neck and flexing his arms like he's at Planet Fitness. I loved the show here, courtesy of every drunken ass loser who's got a pocket full of cash or a girlfriend who works behind the bar. Sure we came here with a little buzz looking for some good tunes and more alcohol but the security staff seemed a bit stiff and too serious and their ability to communicate using only nods or shoulder rolls was more humoring and wasn't in the least bit intimidating much to their dismay. We were trying to figure out where is it you go to learn the skills required to be a bouncer here besides the Golden Buffet. We had fun even though we didn't get the opportunity to buy the bartenders a drink then be expected to tip them for their shot (trust me we weren't that drunk). First off, for everyone complaining that they push drinks and shots on you, hello it's a bar aren't you there to drink and be entertained? What irks me are bars where you have to wait 20+ min to get one drink because they are so busy and understaffed. My friend and I went here and had an ice cold beer in our hand within 2 min of walking in. If you want to sit down and have a quiet conversation with nobody bothering you hit up a coffee shop.
