Nice atomic mushroom cloud display inside which is great for photos. A legendary dive that has stood the test of time. Atomic Liquors is a mainstay in the Vegas bar scene. This is "old Vegas" in a nutshell. The freakin' Rat Pack hung out here. It's a bar, a locals bar, a neighborhood watering hole. No frills, no fuss. Just a place to drink. God love it. If you're coming to a place like this I'd like to think we'd get along. That you have an ounce of humanity inside you. That you understand we're all here once, and we might as well enjoy our time here. I came to these conclusions just from walking inside and ordering a beer. Very strong beer list, classic cocktails, fun shots, and even a good-sized food menu with bar staples to hold you over. For an early Friday afternoon, the place was buzzing inside. We opted to sit outside with the good weather and by the time I had to leave it was really starting to fill up. Atomic isn't for everyone. Go in with low expectations and soak in the high rewards that come your way. The dark, dingy dive atmosphere won't be a homerun for all, but I promise you this place is welcoming to all walks of life. I encourage you to read the history of this place, how it's stood the test of time, and where the name "atomic" came from. Frank Sinatra is an important figure in my family. I checked this place out during the summertime. After being screened by the doorman I apparently stepped into this vintage bar and got "whisked away" to a bygone era! Seriously... With its captivatingly dark atmosphere, it feels like you've traveled back in time. The true and authentic bar vibe was spot on, and it's absolutely thrilling how it fully embraces its vintage roots. A freaking Vegas staple and I can't believe I haven't been here in ages. We stopped in after a food and wine festival we attended downtown and truly had such a great experience here. The vibe is incredible inside and the staff was so nice and friendly. At one point there was a girl cleaning up after all the tables and whatnot and she was hustling so I just had to give her a tip! She was killin it!! I didn't order anything crazy, just a gin and tonic and then at one point I switched to seltzers, but the service was superb, I love that they've also extended and there was an outdoor patio area, too, which we went and hung out at to switch up the scenery a bit. Such a cool spot and if you're in Vegas for the first time and want to experience some Vegas history, you can't miss this place. Definitely will be back again. read more

Stopped in here due to its historical significance. The bartenders indulged my curiosity and made me an Atomic Cocktail using an original recipe I found listed in the New York Times. Absolute class acts running the bar there, two of the nicest and most accommodating bartenders I've ever met. I wish I had gotten their names so I could shout them out even more but 11/10 experience at atomic liquors. Intro: On my most recent trip to Vegas, we stayed in the Fremont area. While I've visited once before, this was my first time exploring the Fremont experience to the fullest. Atomic Liquors is a bar in the area that is one of the most popular bars in Vegas. We walked over for a late-night drink. Service (3/5): We had two drinks. For my first drink, the bartender greeted us quickly. For my second drink, I waited close to 10 minutes to get the bartender's attention. A tale of two cities. They only had two bartenders working so based on the number of people at the bar at any given time, service can be a hit or a miss. Ambiance (4/5): I'm a fan of the vibe here though it depends on your preferences. Atomic Liquors is a alternative/grungy/rock n' roll type spot. Dim lighting. Some seating at the L-shaped bar along with some comfortable sofa seating. Food (N/A): I'm not even sure if they have food. We were here for drinks only. Drinks (4/5): With a name like Atomic Liquors, you should probably order liquor. I went with a cocktail and a beer. They have a cocktail list and a pretty solid selection of beer (though not much on tap. Mostly bottles.) Overall: Anthony Bourdain visited Atomic Liquors on an episode of Parts Unknown. Went here several times over the last week/weekend while visiting Vegas. Great bar, good draft beers choices and cocktails. Pizza was surprisingly good too. I really liked that there were no obvious slot machines or televisions to be seen-kept it a real social feel. Outdoor patio was great too, nice to have that space. Bartenders were all friendly and attentive. The bartender on duty on Saturday (1/31/26) evening was incredible at her job - she knew who needed help, the order of customers, and was efficient and expert at mixing drinks. I attended Atomic Liquors this past weekend as part of my uncle's wedding reception, and unfortunately the experience was deeply upsetting and unacceptable due to the behavior of one of the security guards. For context, I am mixed-race, and this was my uncle on my white side of the family. My brother, our partners, and I were the only people of color in our group or in the bar. We were sitting in the outdoor area, talking and socializing. A few people in the area--including others outside our group--were smoking weed. A security guard approached my partner in an extremely aggressive and hostile manner. He walked up on him while he was seated, got directly in his face, yelled at him, and reached over as if to grab the weed out of his hand. The blunt had already been put out at that point. His behavior felt threatening and completely inappropriate. He continued to harass us, told us we were trespassing, claimed he had called the cops, and repeatedly threatened us. At one point, he physically pushed my boyfriend. What made this even more disturbing was how clearly targeted the interaction felt. Other patrons nearby were also smoking, yet we were singled out. Several witnesses agreed that the treatment we received was blatantly racist. I've since heard from others that this same security guard has a pattern of behaving this way. To make matters worse, I personally witnessed this guard failing to check IDs while working, and he himself appeared to be drinking and smoking while on the clock. If rules are going to be enforced, they should be enforced consistently and professionally--not selectively, aggressively, or violently. This was supposed to be a joyful weekend celebrating a wedding, and instead it turned into an experience that left us feeling unsafe, disrespected, and targeted. Atomic Liquors seriously needs to address the conduct of their security staff. No one should be treated this way, especially in a public establishment. Would never in my life go back. read more

The BEST dive bar in VEGAS! Loud head banging rock blasts through the speakers once you walk in. Burgers are THICK, messy and delicious! Bartenders are knowledgeable and down to earth! Definitely the place for older millennials that love alternative rock, funky brews and cool cocktails. They're a short walk from Fremont Street. read more

I went to a Weds night trivia event here with a super fun Meetup group and had a great time. I can only comment on the drinks I had and the experience in the separate room away from the main bar, but it was a really enjoyable evening. When we needed a break from "The Fremont Experience" with the myriad lights, loud music, and crowds, we headed east on Fremont and kept traveling down to a bit past 9th Street. It was broad daylight, so we felt safe. It doesn't hurt having a friend that's 6'4" hanging out with us either. The crowds got very sparce once we got into that area. Therefore, I would caution you not to walk from the downtown hotels six blocks into Fremont East at night. Stick to the daytime, unless you have a car or can Uber or Lyft. The inside of the bar is black as night, very divey, but also cool. The outside patio area felt like a totally different bar. There's even a bar exclusively for the outside area. The weather was great, so we sat at a table and soaked in that warm Vegas sun. I loved the vibe here. Very chill, but even cooler than the inside. We mostly ordered funky drink specials, which were as tasty as they were pretty. And our server, Athena, was amazing--funny, attentive, and sweet. If you are like me and want variety and are looking for a flight of beers...stay the f___ away! NYC or San francisco prices based on discretion of server as far as I can tell. Frustrating as this seemed like a nice hole in the wall location to try some new beers...not so much. Did people really sit on the roof to watch the atomic bomb tests? Is this really Vegas' oldest bar? Is Barbra Streisand really that good of a pool player? They say all legends have an element of truth. I think that counts even in Vegas. You know what else is true? AL has a good cocktail menu, a solid beer selection, and even a food menu. They have vegan options, including pizza (with vegan cheez), mushroom tacos, cheez quesadillas, and vegan mushroom-style carne asada fries. Nice! When we got there the bartender informed us that menu was out of date, the website was out of date and they didn't offer any of those drinks. He just kept repeating they were a dive bar. They were out of many things and what we ended up having was not great. We felt they did not want any tourists there and were doing their best to get us to leave as fast as we walked in to the bar. It was not very busy. The drinks are small and priced well above other bars . It lacks the dive bar standard entertainment of pool tables or darts. Both inside & out the dar is a time capsule. Atomic Liquors is our new favorite bar in Vegas! It's got such a cool vibe and so much history with nuclear tourism. The ambiance is dark and divey with great background on this bar's origin creating such a unique and authentic atmosphere. The neon is incredible here but the star of the show is their unassuming carne asada fries. If you've never had them, RUN DON'T WALK!
