Historic bar located in downtown Las Vegas a few blocks from the Fremont St., District. Walking in here is like walking back in time. It still has a very 1960s rat pack feel to it. Legend is Sinatra and Dean Martin used to drink here during their heyday. There is a great selection of house made cocktails, as well as local beers. This place is a must see especially if you're in town for only a few days. We are locals and we still love to come here. You will find a mix of locals and tourists.

I never can drink beer (or barely any alcohol) but the sour beer here is really good and refreshing. It's very dark inside but they also have a nice outdoor seating. Fun place to get some conversations with other guests or the bartenders.

A legendary dive that has stood the test of time. Atomic Liquors is a mainstay in the Vegas bar scene. This is "old Vegas" in a nutshell. The freakin' Rat Pack hung out here. It's a bar, a locals bar, a neighborhood watering hole. No frills, no fuss. Just a place to drink. God love it. If you're coming to a place like this I'd like to think we'd get along. That you have an ounce of humanity inside you. That you understand we're all here once, and we might as well enjoy our time here. I came to these conclusions just from walking inside and ordering a beer. Very strong beer list, classic cocktails, fun shots, and even a good-sized food menu with bar staples to hold you over. For an early Friday afternoon, the place was buzzing inside. We opted to sit outside with the good weather and by the time I had to leave it was really starting to fill up. Atomic isn't for everyone. Go in with low expectations and soak in the high rewards that come your way. The dark, dingy dive atmosphere won't be a homerun for all, but I promise you this place is welcoming to all walks of life. I encourage you to read the history of this place, how it's stood the test of time, and where the name "atomic" came from. Frank Sinatra is an important figure in my family. If Atomic Liquors was good enough for him, it's sure as hell good enough for me. This place is as cool as the other side of the pillow. 'Till next time. I promise there will be a next time!

I checked this place out during the summertime. After being screened by the doorman I apparently stepped into this vintage bar and got "whisked away" to a bygone era! Seriously... With its captivatingly dark atmosphere, it feels like you've traveled back in time. The true and authentic bar vibe was spot on, and it's absolutely thrilling how it fully embraces its vintage roots. This place is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the charm of the past! Its Fremont street (East) location is perfect. As for drinks- moderately priced and the service was average.

Loveeeee this place! It is a classic vegas spot. Always has great vibes. Great drinks and great food! Really not much to yes because everything there is great! Worth the spot. Perfect for a casual hang out or a cute apps and drink date!

A freaking Vegas staple and I can't believe I haven't been here in ages. We stopped in after a food and wine festival we attended downtown and truly had such a great experience here. The vibe is incredible inside and the staff was so nice and friendly. At one point there was a girl cleaning up after all the tables and whatnot and she was hustling so I just had to give her a tip! She was killin it!! I didn't order anything crazy, just a gin and tonic and then at one point I switched to seltzers, but the service was superb, I love that they've also extended and there was an outdoor patio area, too, which we went and hung out at to switch up the scenery a bit. Such a cool spot and if you're in Vegas for the first time and want to experience some Vegas history, you can't miss this place. Definitely will be back again.

Good bartender. Great mushroom tacos. Very cool and dark interior is welcome relief from excessive Vegas heat.

Stopped in here due to its historical significance. The bartenders indulged my curiosity and made me an Atomic Cocktail using an original recipe I found listed in the New York Times. Absolute class acts running the bar there, two of the nicest and most accommodating bartenders I've ever met. I wish I had gotten their names so I could shout them out even more but 11/10 experience at atomic liquors. Outside seating was amazing too and nice and quiet on a Saturday evening around 11pm.

This is The Original Las Vegas Dive Bar! Been in the same spot since the Atomic Testing days! So much History! Nothing fancy here! Dark bar, good people and stiff drinks! All trips to the Fremont Street area should include a stop at the Atomic Lounge.

Dive bar vibes with history. 5:00pm is the magic hour. Time to sit, chat with the bartender and order food before the crowd pours in. I was skeptical of the "homemade" mozzarella sticks but they were amazing! Plenty of space inside and outside on the large patio..

Came for trivia on a Wednesday night, so much fun!

Ask the Community - Atomic Liquors

Do you have a trivia night?

There is zero mention of trivia on their website (events section very outdated). Their social media has the last mention of trivia night of any sort being over a year ago. So... unlikely to be happening.

Is there parking or should I park at Fremont street parking and walk?

There are limited parking spaces at the back of the building, but yes, it is parking there. Also, parking on the street too.

Is this place all ages or just 21+?

    21+. It's a cocktail lounge (bar).

Weird question, but who supplies your nuts?

    Dee.

Is the actual bar accessible right now (COVID) or is it only outdoor restaurant seating?

Hi Maria! At this time, the inside of the Atomic Liquors bar, our restaurant (The Kitchen at Atomic), and all of our patios are open and available for seating. You can always email us at info@atomic.vegas to make reservations or for other inquiries.…

Do they have TVs to watch football?

The decor has an incredible number of vintage signs, promotional displays, clocks, etc. some for beer brands no longer made. There is also a huge beer can collection. Guy who checked our IDs let us know this place is like walking into a Midwestern basement and that they serve beers only. I thought this was so helpful because imagine walking in and thinking they served cocktails only to realize it was beer only. When we walked in it did look like you walked into a basement. Lol The place is very retro and I loved the beer cans on the wall. They have a photo booth located in the back right corner for $5 for 2 strips. Honestly, this place was cool but only downside was I felt like it had dead air. I was sweating in there, but the vibe did overpower my only complaint. Service was good. We sat at the bar and were helped right away. I looked through their menu and settled on a fruit beer while my friend had a stout. Trust, there's something for everyone whether you love or like beer. I saw that they served food but my friend and I just came for drinks. I definitely recommend checking this place out. Very cool area and the selection of beers is great.

We were seated at the bar and had a nice time interacting with the cocktail craftsman/man in charge, Davey. The menu is his creative brainchild and changes a few times a year, with the current one based on the movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. There's a 90 minute limit and 2 drink minimum per guest. Because of the craft and attention to detail that goes into each cocktail, we finished our 2 drinks just about right at the 90 minute mark. I really enjoyed both of my cocktails but the one that stood out to me the most was Strange Medicine. It was reminiscent of a martini but with Brie-washed Old Bison vodka, Cocchi Americano, and herb oil. It was so good that I wasn't sure what drink to choose next, but Davey was helpful with a great recommendation for another cocktail served with a chunk of parmesan cheese on top. Keep in mind that you're paying for the experience and the level of craft. So with a 2 drink minimum it won't be a cheap experience but it's definitely something worth checking out for the unique, creative cocktails.

Pro: Fear and Loathing menu, updated furniture, yummy drinks…read more Con: Not the previous Laundry Room you remembered, glorified tourist trap, lack of atmosphere control. Slow drink service. The Laundry Room is dead, long live the Laundry Room. The remodel that took place during Jan to May 2026 saw a wide amount of change from Corner Management, the mother company of LR. They got rid of the absolute corner stone of the lead bartender, Anthony, and redecorated the place to look more like the sister bar, Doberman Drawing Room (5 Stars). The remodel was absolutely needed, as the regulars and Dean's List could point out, the place was kind of falling apart. From water warped bar top, uncomfortable chairs, and chipped paint/worned carpet, you would think this place WAS left over from the Prohibition era. What sets this establishment apart from any of the pretend speakeasy on the strip is the atmosphere. At any given time, you could cram 16 people there at a time, even with the reduced drinking time cut from 2 hours to 90 minutes, this place could only cycle thru 50 to 60 people from the reduced nightly opening of 4 hours from 6 hours previously. This make LR special, not some faux speakeasy in Cosmo or Resort World that could jam in 80 people per hour with room to spare. Gone is the rugged identity of the old laundry room for El Cortez, this is spiced up, every square inch of the wall is covered with some art piece, very much different from the Depression era decor. Some art selection are just straight up chaos from the management, the main cherub piece behind the bar is just insanity. The new master of house, Davey, showed skills with his new 14 drink menu, but fell short of what made LR great in the past 14 years. Now, the man had just two months to create his drink list and per himself, had to start from the scratch from when he took over.. So, with that said, let's focus on the drinks. Hemingway Dalguiri, Dust + Ether, and High Noon Static - all great in taste, presentation, and talent, abet we can see the hesitation when making his own drinks, thus slowing down service by quite a bit. My party saw him struggle making 6 drinks at once, 4 of them the same drinks. Recommendation from someone else, maybe record the drink making process and try to eliminate non productive habits and motions via video viewing. Since Davey is a visionary, looking in the past is a deal breaker for him. If you are trying to finish up a previous menu for the Dean's List, the joke is on you, that is a no. Where the hostess (the only person that survived the purge from the remodel) explained to him that exception needs to happen to keep the Dean's List going, the answer was a no since no one at management told him about this. When asked about what will the new requirements will be for the future, it's simple, finish the menu before it's replaced with no chance of catching up. Once a menu is done, it's done. I guess it's easier to keep the drinks under control with less ingrediencies needed behind the bar, but wait a minute... drink number 15, Research and Development, that should give Davey some leeway to non menu drinks right? Turns out, not so much. Sidecar- cognac, orange liqueur, lemon juice. Simple right? He leaves the room to get something from Commonwealth... didn't management installed a new fridge to hold the larger ice cubes, where previous bar keep have to venture out all the time? Turns out, there was no Cognac or any Brandy in the Laundry Room. I can see how things are shaped, strict bottle control is for the benefit of the bar, not for the customer. There is now Vodka, foam, and milk wash but lost Cognac or Brandy, but besides the freedom of choices were also compounded with complete lack of rules. For the last 14 years, the hostess and bar staff on rotation were friendly yet firm about house rules. First given upon entering the secret or window doors, then by the bartender after an aperitif is given (now eliminated). No photo, religion, politic, standing at the bar, name dropping, brawling, telephone calls, PDA, and smoking, plus don't be creepy, be patient, and know your limit. Most of these were not enforced the first 2 times my party of regulars have visited since the remodel. The cardinal sin of allowing one single 4 top to seat 2 people at a time is just wild. But hey, no rules are listed on the new simple menu and none giving at the door or at the seats. So what is this place now? 20 to 23 dollars for a drink plus more for popcorn. All for the experience of being in a noise warfare between Commonwealth and La Mona Rosa's speaker systems, with LR's own music turned up high, and the piano only used one night of the week. I would recommend Doberman Drawing Room as of now for better drinks options, less noise, and vibe. The new menu to replace Fear and Laundry will come out this Fall, will be bring some regulars with me to check on LR again and hopefully give more than 2 stars on the next review.

One thing to note: this downtown location has a much smaller, more limited bar menu compared to their other location, which I didn't realize when choosing where to go. That was on me for not checking more closely. We ordered the Barcuterie, Smashy burger, and Steakhouse Smashy. Both burgers were excellent--juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The Smashy with American cheese and their perfect sauce was a standout, and the Steakhouse Smashy with bleu cheese crumbles, grilled mushrooms and onions, plus house-made steak sauce was just as good. The house-made chips that came with the burgers, along with the dipping sauce, were outstanding. We liked them so much that we even ordered an extra batch to go. The Barcuterie was also really good. The sausage and warm pretzel loaf were amazing, and the beer cheese paired well with them. The Dijon kraut, pickled vegetables, and mustard weren't really our favorites, but overall it was still a fun and tasty appetizer. My husband ordered a beer flight, which included (4) 5 ounce tasters, all of which he enjoyed. If you're going for burgers and beer, this spot is definitely worth checking out and the prices were reasonable, just be aware the downtown menu is a bit more limited.
