Food was amazing fresh and flavorful. I loved the passionfruit green tea and the plum sake. Also the Deep fried Leevilly Roll great spice and tasted great. Enjoyed the space and service was awesome. Will definitely be back again to try the ramen and more sushi.

We were enticed by the high rating - the meat and noodles are great, but the broth we've had better. Service was super friendly, and the ambiance was chill. Overall a great place for ramen, we just wish we could get meat from one place and broth from another.

The ramen is my favorite in DFW, the most authentic that I've experienced since leaving Fussa, but the sushi gave me food poisoning. I noticed when eating the sushi it was a lot warmer than I am accustomed to but I've had their sushi before and was fine. Today I woke up with a stomach pain I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy and it turned out to be food poisoning.

We discovered Hokkaido Ramen & Sushi through a quick search on Google Maps, and we're so glad we did! The food was excellent, especially for the price point, and the service was friendly and attentive. I ordered a Bento Box, which included miso soup, a side salad, and rice. The bento starts at $16.95, which is a great value considering the portions and quality. For my two selections, I chose the Vegetable Tempura and the Chicken Katsu. The tempura was perfectly crispy and light, while the Chicken Katsu--made with chicken thighs instead of the usual breast--was juicy and flavorful with a delightfully crisp coating. I ended up taking the rest to go. We also tried the Yellowtail Roll, which featured fresh fish and a well-balanced fish-to-rice ratio. My husband ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen, which included pork belly, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, scallions, and a soft-boiled egg in a spicy white shoyu broth. He's usually picky about ramen, but this one impressed him. I tasted the broth and agree--it was delicious. Lastly, he got the Lover Tuna Roll, which includes spicy tuna topped with fresh tuna, white tuna, avocado, spicy mayo, and wasabi mayo. According to my him, it was his ideal sushi roll--fresh, flavorful, and not fried. We will definitely be returning next time we're in the area!

We did a online pickup order here. Everything was packaged well. We tried the Chili Pork Ramen, Seared Pork Beef Bowl, Bento Box, and 3 other sushi rolls. The seared pork beef bowl was amazing. Alot of meat in this bowl, very good quality. Everything tasted fresh and great. Will definitely come back here. Easy online pick up order process!

I came in for an early dinner with my daughter and newborn because I had been wanting good spicy ramen. This was my first time coming here and we had a great experience. The location is a bit odd and unassuming, but the inside has large ceilings, bright lights and cutely decorated with cartoon like pictures of ramen and sushi and bright redish/orange paint. The tables were clean and they had many booth options which I appreciate. Our server was a tall man, but unfortunately I don't remember his name. He was very helpful. He offered a fork for my daughter to use for the noodles but she had no interest and went to the chopsticks. He saw her struggling and returned with homemade chopstick trainers. She was pleased and then could eat well. He did this without me asking. Great attention to detail. We ordered the iced passion fruit green tea, spicy tonkotsu, kids ramen (shoyo) with an egg and spicy beef ramen to go. The green tea was refreshing and it was served in a cool cup with a sipping option or straw. The spicy tonkotsu ramen was absolutely delicious. Medium spice was perfect for me. I liked the crunchy toppings and the ramen egg was jammy and umami station. I tried my daughter's shoyu ramen which was also so good! We had two to-go bags with our leftovers and to go order and I was struggling to think how I was going to carry it out with my newborn. Without me asking, our server volunteered to carry them to my car for me. Overall, I had a great experience here not only with the yummy ramen but also with caring service. I will happily come in again!

With the cold weather, a delicious bowl of hot ramen was the goal and Hokkaido truly hit the spot. The tonkotsu broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles had great texture, and the pork belly was tender. The chicken karaage was crispy, moist, and seasoned well. We got lucky and were seated quickly. The server was friendly and on top of it. The place was roomy inside and had decent seating.

Are you kidding? This place is delicious!! I don't eat sushi but I do love me a good bento box. And they have it here! The portions are pretty big, the presentation is beautiful, and the food is delicious. I'd also like to point out that the customer service was great!

We were attracted by the stellar rating, but all three of us agreed it was just okay. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We ordered a poke bowl, ramen bowl, and bento box. Each person's order was brought to the table separately rather than all three orders arriving at once, and there was a good 15 minutes between the arrival of the bento box and the ramen bowl. It was a good thing we're family and decided to dig in instead of waiting for everyone's meal to arrive, as person #1's food definitely would have been cold by the time we were all served. The poke was very good, with fresh seafood, flavorful avocado, and yummy fried crisps. The bento box was okay - excellent teriyaki chicken but not great teriyaki beef (he didn't even eat it) and not our favorite miso. The ramen was also fine, neither top nor terrible. Overall, at $16.50-$18.50 per person, it was a tad pricey. We liked the Japanese themed decor and plenty of seating.

Service was okay. We had to ask for a drink we ordered multiple times. Sushi was good. Calamari appetizer had good flavor, but was very tough.

Haven't had a bad experience here. The ramen is solid and the rolls are pretty solid too. We always get seated as soon as we walk in and each time we've come here, the wait staff have been so kind, like they actually want to be there. It's no frills, nothing fancy. It reminds me of the cafes in Japan, according to YouTube videos I watch lol We've come here a few times now and can't really complain. The one thing we got recently that I didn't really enjoy was the seared pork beef chasu bowl. There was too much spicy mayo. I love spicy mayo as much as the next guy, but it was swimming in it. The meat was good though. I would suggest getting the sauce on the side. Otherwise, everything was great! Would definitely come here again if I'm in the mood for ramen.

In the area and wanted ramen for lunch. Hokkaido had good reviews on Yelp so we decided to give it a try. Lots of seating, friendly greeting and quick service. The interior is cute, lots of art and Japanese banners. Two bowls of ramen, Miso and soyu. Really, great ramen. Great flavor, fresh noodles and lots of extras. Definitely a place we will come back too.

    Delicious Spicy Chicken Ramen.

Just had dinner at Hokkaido and wow. Ramen is legit and the sushi slaps. Ask for Rayna if you go. She's the kind of server who remembers your drink order, explains the menu without making you feel rushed, and just makes the whole experience better. 10/10 will be back for that spicy ramen and her recommendations.

Second, the decor was beautiful and the vibe was giving a tree house. And the reason why you're reading this, the food! Takoyaki 10/10: Very delicious and crispy takoyaki with mayo on the bottom. Seared Hotate: This was the appetizer that shook me and my friends. Wabi House has somehow turned scallops into steak. They were very delicious, tender, and juicy. Unfortunate that it only came with 4 pieces Very delicious ramen with chewy noodles! All of these noodles held their sauces and soups very well. Our only complaint with the general noodle dishes were that they had little meat or only one slice of meat. The slice was so delicious and tender, it fell apart when I bit into it! Unfortunately wish I had more. Shoyu Ramen 8/10: A very good savory standard ramen! Not sure how to describe the flavor but it is just a good salty soup when you want something heartful and salty. Spicy Miso 6/10: Not much to it but spice! It came with no meat and I could unfortunately only taste the spice. Dry Garlic 7/10: I did not actually expect for this to have no soup, I guess I should read better, but this was delicious! If you love garlic, this is for you! It helped with my cravings and was so filling. Didn't get to try any dessert but maybe next time!

The space feels intimate and welcoming, the kind of spot where the steam from the bowls fogs up the windows and time slows down just enough to enjoy your meal. The ramen is where Kintaro really shines. The broth is deeply flavored and comforting, rich without feeling heavy, and clearly simmered with care. Every sip feels intentional. The noodles have that perfect bite, springy and substantial, soaking up the broth without going soft. Toppings are generous and well balanced, especially the pork, which is tender and savory and melts into the broth in the best way. What really sells the experience is how everything works together. The warmth of the space, the aroma of the kitchen, and the layered flavors in the bowl create something that feels less like a quick meal and more like a small ritual. It's the kind of place you want to linger, finishing the last drops of broth even when you're already full. Kintaro isn't flashy or overhyped. It's just solid, soulful ramen served in a space that feels like a refuge. If you're craving something comforting and satisfying, this is absolutely the spot.

It's located in Hurst in a little strip mall that's mostly empty but you can see the concentration of business and cars in the corner on the side where this restaurant is, when we first walked in we both noticed a bit of a strange smell like I would describe as mildew and I think that's because they were running two portable air conditioner units inside so I don't think this is something that's on the regular and after we sat down neither of us noticed it again. As we walked in I also noticed That this place has a nice little cozy feel to it with some interesting decor, beautiful paintings on the wall and kind of an old school feel which I enjoy, there's an upstairs section that's pretty cool looking also where you can have private events or family style gatherings. Right off the bat the service was very friendly and attentive, we ordered two appetizers the shrimp Yakitori and an order of the pork and vegetable egg rolls both appetizers were fresh and delicious, I also had upon the servers recommendation their honey lemon ice tea which was very good. For our entrees My girlfriend ordered the spicy beef bulgogi and I ordered the spicy pork bulgogi, our food came out in a timely manner and was fresh and hot. The portion size was very good and I was happy to see the ratio of meat to vegetable was about 90% meat to 10% vegetable which is what I expect in a bulgogi. The restaurant is very elegant, very neat, clean and well organized. She took my order, brought me a glass of water, and I ordered the Shoyu chicken ramen for $13.00 plus $2.00 added for a large. The Shouyu Chicken ramen was very delicious, the chicken broth was so good great flavor. Albeit, in my humble opinion the noodles, other toppings and chicken was very sparse for the price of the ramen. But, as far as taste goes it was one the best I have had so far. Gyoza to start that were nice and crispy, could have done with more than the teaspoonful of sauce we were given though. Maximum tea points, hot green tea that tasted delicious and was served in the cutest little pot I've seen in a while. It was a terrible pourer though, but the waiter warned me and put some napkins on the table to clean up. The ramen was quite disappointing, I know how spoiled I currently am with the memory of Ichibahn burned into my brain, but...these were quite pricey and not that good. The broth was lightly flavored with little depth, the beansprouts and corn (why are these in my ramen?) Moved the flavour profile even brighter and there was quite a lot of green onion. With a $5 add on for 2 small slices of extra pork that's a $20 bowl. So yes, 3 stars. They have bottled Kirin so I might be back, but I will be exploring the other menu items.
