The interior of the building is very aesthetically appealing and fits the style of food well. The food itself is fairly priced and was made speedily. This did not affect the quality of the food as it was very pleasing to look at as well eat. My partner and I began our meal with the karaage. At first glance they looked like fried chicken bites ,but were actually very tender and soft to chew on. The sauce with it was also very good to pair with the chicken. The ramens were packed with the flavor. Our choices were the to tonkotsu and spicy miso. The tonkotsu was super flavorful and I loved the bits off corn and I added minced pork for extra texture in the soup which was a great choice I would do again. The noodles were thinner than other ramens I have tried but still were very yummy and cooked well. The miso was a thicker soup with thicker noodles and the spiciness wasn't overwhelming. Both bowls were very full and we had left overs to save for later. Overall I enjoyed everything about the restaurant and I would recommend others to come and try it. Seared Hotate: This was the appetizer that shook me and my friends. Wabi House has somehow turned scallops into steak. They were very delicious, tender, and juicy. Unfortunate that it only came with 4 pieces Very delicious ramen with chewy noodles! All of these noodles held their sauces and soups very well. Our only complaint with the general noodle dishes were that they had little meat or only one slice of meat. The slice was so delicious and tender, it fell apart when I bit into it! Unfortunately wish I had more. Shoyu Ramen 8/10: A very good savory standard ramen! Not sure how to describe the flavor but it is just a good salty soup when you want something heartful and salty. Spicy Miso 6/10: Not much to it but spice! It came with no meat and I could unfortunately only taste the spice. Dry Garlic 7/10: I did not actually expect for this to have no soup, I guess I should read better, but this was delicious! If you love garlic, this is for you! Stopped by Wabi house during happy hour and tried the Hama Rayu, fried dumplings, and Crispy pork ears. Everything was really good and worth the price. The dumplings were crispy, and the pork ears had a nice crunch. The place had a good vibe and the service was great. First thing the service was amazing, our waitress always made sure we were doing okay and our food was tasting good, for how busy it was I think she was very attentive. The corn fritters were very large but tasty and the sauce really tops it off, you shouldn't get it without. The gyoza is a different style than what I'm used to but even so absolutely delicious, and crisped to perfection. The ramen had the perfect amount of salt and flavor, it was so easy to enjoy and the pork belly rolled off of my chopstick it was perfect. The restaurant itself was absolutely gorgeous, windows covering the walls to let in open light, the temperature was perfect for dining and the open kitchen was not too loud at all. Love this spot, especially during happy hour. It is upstairs so plan for that, there is an elevator but it's often broken. The bar area and patio seating are great when the weather allows. It was a Friday night and I came in with a friend for dinner. It was my first time here but I've passed by multiple times since moving to Fort Worth. Per his recommendation, it was also a good place for ramen in town. The restaurant is located in a lively area of Southside area. There was about a 40 minute wait. You can do reservations online so I'd recommend that beforehand if you're coming in on the weekend. However, the wait passed by quickly as we sat at one of the seating areas downstairs by another restaurant. Once a spot was ready, we got a text. We were sat at the bar. Again, as expected on a weekend, it was pretty lively and a good atmosphere. I personally got the Dry Garlic. My friend got the Tonkotsu. It notably had dashi butter, chashu, nori, and poached egg. It reminded me of Thai peanut butter noodles but not as sweet. The cucumbers and scallions on top provided a nice sense of freshness. Though, at the end of the day, I felt like something was missing. Maybe it was something in the texture or not enough flavor but something was missing. My friend said his tonkotsu was pretty good. He's had it before and liked it. Service was great. After 6 years I finally got to try Wabi House! I actually gave birth to my daughter at the Baylor across the street and have been eyeing this place ever since. So yes, it's located by the hospitals. I opted for Shoyu Ramen and an order of Gyoza. The Gyoza was shaped like a Lumpia, I'm not mad about it, it was interesting. The Ramen was okay and the Karaage was in bigger pieces than I expected but it was pretty good. I'm glad I finally got to try this place, the setting is super nice, we ate outside. After catching the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra at the Kimbell, we headed here for dinner and it did not disappoint. For mains, my husband went with the spicy tonkotsu ramen while I had the tsukemen ramen (also only available after 5pm). Both bowls were rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. Cocktails were just as impressive--the spicy mango margarita had the right kick, and the melon drink (name escapes me) was bright and refreshing. Here the spicy level is on the higher side so watch out because the spice hits after a while! (its so good though) The tonkosu or shouu is always amazing if you don't like spicy. Service and quality is consistent and the ambiance is nice for a lunch or dinner The chicken karaage is seasoned well but not super traditional and a little bit on the dryer side (probably used chicken tenderloin). I wanted the classic ramen toppings of pork belly and pork the egg but was craving a spicy miso broth hence why I made the substitution which as 10/10 worth is - if you're afraid of spice I would just ask for it on the side because a little goes a long way for sure! Amazing experience today at Wabi House! It was my first time and when I showed up I felt like I was back in Tokyo. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the staff is super friendly. The service was very friendly but food was pretty slow. The inside is high energy and has an open kitchen. The tonkotsu ramen came with thin noodles and was flavorful. The spicy miso ramen came with thick noodles and was good and had a nice spicy kick. The dark meat chicken skewers were juicy and full of flavor. I would recommend all 3 dishes. Seating is limited so I recommend making a reservation ahead of time my group of six receded at different tables but the host made sure to accommodate us and placed us at tables near each other on a busy Sunday. We got the karage to share as an appetizer and I would come back just for the chicken karage! I got the spicy miso and my friends got the spicy miso dragon level spice which was way too hot for me but if you love heat, it might be your thing.
