First off, the food came out fast (a win when you're starving), and the service was genuinely excellent. Attentive without hovering, friendly without forcing small talk. The place is cute and has plenty of seating. They also do take out! I ordered the Hawaiian poke bowl and WOW. The portion was huge (like "why did I think I could finish this?" huge), the price was super affordable, and the spice + flavor combo hit every craving I didn't even know I had. Balanced, bold, and just the right amount of heat. We also tried two rolls, plus the calamari and edamame, and everything across the board was solid. Fresh, well-made, and clearly cared for. To drink, I had the popping boba passionfruit tea and it was full of flavor without being overly sweet. Refreshing and fun, not syrupy. Stopped in here late at night just to try it! Food - We only got the chicken katsu ramen to try their tonkotsu broth to see if it was worth the trip. However we were definitely surprised with the depth and flavor of the tonkotsu, and it was very light which is different from other restaurants that have a thicker broth. The chicken katsu was so worth it as other restaurants typically upcharge like crazy for chicken katsu. The marinated egg was great, and the noodles were bouncy and delicious. We truly had no complaint about the ramen we got. Service - fast and so cheery. The staff were super friendly during our whole experience. Ambiance - inside is kinda dark but we also were there at 10 pm. The kitchen is visible which is nice it looks like the kitchens you'd see in Japan with the kitchen and ramen bar right there. Overall, staff are friendly, ramen was better than expected, and we'd be back here for the prices of ramen as it was $15 per bowl. The crispy calamari was perfectly breaded, crispy and so fresh. Both the Miso & Tonkotsu Broth was rich and flavorful. The ramen was the perfect chew . The chashu was mildly sweet and savory. The service was great. We were met with a smile host and server. The place was cozy which was fitting given it was rainy when we went. Oh my lord this was wonderful. Please understand I'm a transplant from the Bay Area in California - I'm used to some high quality food I'm my foodventures. So when I say 'I haven't had decent Japanese food since 2021' I absolutely mean it. I had the tonkotsu ramen and agedashi tofu and my word. They were amazing. The tofu was fried perfectly and incredibly light with a wonderful dipping sauce to pair with it. And the ramen? Everywhere else it's been bleh to mediocre and I has to jazz it up. The broth and the noodles were some of the best I've had in YEARS. I'm nearly in tears; this was one of the best meals I've had for a while. Visiting from Vegas and I am a sushi snob. I always say you get what you pay for. This is quality sushi, not AYCE. If you want cheap fish that's bottom of the barrel this is not the place for you. This is high quality fish that is priced decently to market. They were out of a few things which made me sad but when I visit again I'll be sure to come back in and hope they have them. Service was great! Everyone was very helpful and kind. Make sure you're taking care of your servers. If the owner cares at all I have a few recommendations that I feel would make your establishment even better than it already is, and it is great! Fresh wasabi available to purchase. Premium hot sake and just a few more options on the nigiri menu. Oh, and they have wagyu (which is amazing) a wagyu roll would be incredible! I was so excited to try this based upon multiple reviews, however my experience seemed to vary. addmitedly, I took a conservative approach to the menu. I went with Tom Yum soup, California Roll and Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai. The soup didn't have the flavor or spiciness that I enjoy. The roll was a letdown, the avocado was hard and tasteless but the "crab" was tasty. The wasabi was weak but the ginger was tasty. The Pad Thai was very disappointing. It was only tepid when it reached my table. The shrimp were hard and the chicken was unseasoned. The taste profile was surprisingly low and any "table chef" additions didn't seem to help. Considering the results of what I ordered, I doubt if there will be another try. read more

Seriously good ramen and service. So glad this place is closer to where I live (Plymouth, MA) because good ramen used to mean a trip into Boston. So great to have a ramen place in town and the food of so good! We have done takeout twice and have eaten in restaurant once two weeks after opening I believe. Once we were sat service was great and food came out timely and presented well. It's a small place with about 8-10 tables and some bar space. Where they could improve on is staffing for a Friday and Saturday night. The person at the front is dealing with the phone, takeout orders/pickups and greeting guests. The time I ate in and picked up to go there is one waitress who is also the bar tender, was busing tables and taking guests to their seats. They would benefit from one other employee during these busy nights to take over the front desk to greet customers and let them know they wait time, turn tables over and bring guests to their seats. I feel this will help table turnover times and the wait times for those to be seated. Will definitely frequent this place in the future. read more

While Hokkaido shines with its Japanese offerings--think rich, flavorful ramen and incredibly fresh sushi--it also impresses with a broader menu that includes Pad Thai, Lo Mein, and other non-Japanese dishes that are equally delicious. What truly sets Hokkaido apart, though, is the people. The care and passion the chefs put into every dish is evident, and the front-of-house staff are just as dedicated. They're warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in creating a great experience for their guests. Every time we visit, we're treated with such kindness--it makes the beautifully decorated, cozy space feel even more welcoming. We were so impressed by their hospitality that we asked if they'd consider hosting a private event for a bridal shower, and they didn't hesitate to say yes. Even though it was their first private event, they handled it seamlessly. Our guests couldn't stop talking about the food and the service--even the pickiest eaters left happy (the Lo Mein comes highly recommended!).
