Junky and Poorly maintained outdoor space
    Alphonso R.

Just visited the Safeway location. Never been great here, but this time exceptionally lackluster in terms of atmosphere and food. Junky parking lot area with tables and fire pits tossed around. Interior is decades old and well beyond needing an update. Why do you let this location languish in such a pitiful state. Had the super hyped up enchiladas and a Ciaprehena drink. Both were lacking, especially the unseasoned chicken in the enchiladas. Lazy Mexican / Peruvian food. This is not what culinary excitement is like in either country. $35 for two crappy enchiladas and one mediocre cocktail?? Embarrassing

Food was good and service was fast and friendly. Tequila tacos were good- maybe double tortillas would help them from falling apart but flavor was good. Mojito was two servings and was pretty OK. No complaints.

    The "lomo saltado"
    Stephanie M.

This place shouldn't claim they are peruvian fusion. I ordered the lomo saltado and it's nothing close to it. It tasted like the sauce you get from a chef boyardi ravioli can. It was soupy when it's not supposed to be. It was not appetizing at all. I hope this restaurant researches and studies how to do real Peruvian food or stick to Mexican food. Other than that service was okay and chips/ salsa was good. But please put some respect on Peruvian food.

Attentive staff, fresh and delicious food, and killer margaritas! The first time I came in I had the lomo saltado (perfect meal on a chilly day) and a fresca margarita. I'm a lightweight when it comes to booze, so I couldn't finish it all (the margarita was served with a lot extra in the shaker) but I really wanted to because it was the BEST margarita I've ever had. I went back on a different day and enjoyed the halibut tacos, which were simple, but good. I'm excited to go back and try something new next time!

We are visiting from California and our sons took us to Hola! The food was phenomenal and the Wait Staff was attentive and friendly. The Bananas Flameada was amazing to watch being made at our table and oh so delicious! I highly recommend eating here!

The food was fantastic. It was mouthwatering from the moment I walked in the door. It smells so good. The service was excellent and the cocktail. The tequila in my margarita was delicious. I'd go back again and again my wife and I enjoyed it. Thank you so very much, Frankie and Dorothy.

    Red enchiladas supposedly.

Terrible margaritas and food. Watery margaritas and pedestrian tacos with plain chicken. Not even worth it for happy hour.

Food mediocre, but beautifully presented. Booze very pricey but generous. Food ridiculously pricey.

Absolutely fanstatic dinner. The tamales were some of the best I've ever had and the black beans and rice were done perfectly.

The food is good, but what is GREAT is the guacamole made table-side, with a generous margarita to cleanse your palate.

After all that hard work, our family always ends up back at El Rodeo. It's our go-to spot and has been for years. The service is always great and the people working there are genuinely friendly and kind. It feels like a real family restaurant where they're happy you showed up. The bar is also a fantastic place to grab a drink or margarita, play a little video poker, and end up talking to half the locals in Bend. Somehow you go in for dinner and leave feeling like you attended a neighborhood reunion. The food is exactly what you want when you're craving Mexican: hot, good, and a lot of it. I have never once left there hungry or disappointed. Plates show up looking like they were designed for a lumberjack who skipped lunch. They recently remodeled the bar, which looks nice... but personally I believe Mexican restaurants should be built once in about 1987 and then left exactly the same forever. It's part of the charm. That said, the remodel won't stop me from going back regularly. Great people, great food, strong margaritas, and the kind of place that makes Bend feel like home. Five stars all day.

Pair it with an ice-cold draft beer in a frosty mug and you're set. The menu covers all the staples, and portions are generous without being over the top. Everything comes out hot, flavorful, and consistent, which is why it's a place people here keep coming back to year after year. The owner is super friendly and we have the same few servers every time who even Renee our go to orders. My parents love their Chile Rellano with green sauce. They also have one of the best happy hours in Bend -- great prices, plenty of options, and that friendly, familiar vibe that makes it feel like a neighborhood favorite.

The calling and pickup experience was good. The super supreme burrito was definitely not super and was not enough to fill my appetite. It felt like there were ingredients missing and all I could taste was a lot of refried beans and some meat. Definitely was not super or supreme. I hope that it was a one time experience at this location. I tried the chicken fajita burrito with was quite watery and I was not expecting raw green onions in it, but overall left me craving for a better version of a burrito. Super Nachos were good, not the best that I've had but quite good for the price. Overall I'll try this location again just to see if it was just not the best day for the restaurant.

They cater to their clientele, the people of Bend. I don't blame them at all for catering to their customer's tastes. I ordered an all meat burrito, some fish tacos and a couple of carne asada tacos. Let's talk first about their tacos. The tortillas are flour tortillas. Most Mexican joints use corn tortillas. The fish tacos are made with tilapia. They are grilled, not fried. Not quite the same fish tacos that we have in Southern California. The carne asada was grilled. However, both tacos seemed to be missing flavor. Adding salsa did not help. The all meat burrito was indeed all meat. I thought I asked for carne asada, instead, I got a burrito full of shredded beef. Again, adding seasoning would've helped. I'll be super nice to them and give them 3 stars. But, if you come from an area with lots of Mexican food, you won't like this spot.
