Came here last night for dinner and had an amazing meal. I got the Pollo de Chipotle and it was fantastic. Super creamy and had all kinds of veggies in it. Everything went well once again at Diego's. Went for partner's bday and it's a great place for a family celebration. Margaritas were on point, and the complimentary salsas with the chips are so good. All entrees were terrific, and the pork ossified bucolic (see pic) was memorable. Finally, they provided a free bday slice of cheesecake for the bday girl. read more

Our group of six thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Diego's. It all started (and ended) with our service - Roberto is one of the best we have ever had. So charming and inviting to the restaurant and passionate about each dish he explained and the stories he shared. Went there last night at the recommendation of some locals. It was quite good! We enjoyed an appetizer of Texmex, followed up by Taco salad for me and the rib eye for my husband. Other than it being kinda loud (due to people enjoying themselves) it was an enjoyable visit. read more

Expect to pay $200 for dinner for two that would cost $75 anywhere else.... The exorbitantly priced Boursin Cheese with Mushrooms ($18) was far and away the best part of the meal.... 5 stars.... The second best part was a coleslaw with blue cheese and bacon, a substitute for either a baked or mashed potato standard.... 3 stars.... My $45 ribeye (claimed to be 16 oz) was THE MOST THINLY CUT steak I've ever been served.... (There is no way it was 16oz.) I ordered it medium rare and was served a WELL DONE steak.... Which the staff apologized for and politely replaced... The steak was poorly seasoned and required quite a bit of table salt.... 2 stars.... My dinner guest had the lobster covered scallops.... The scallops were fine, but the lobster sauce was overly rich and lacked lobster and seasoning.... 2 stars.... We had read rave reviews about the Sangria..... It was bland and if there was any alcohol in it, I couldn't vouch for that.... And I rarely drink anymore, so any amount of alcohol has an immediate effect on me.... 2 stars.... I'm a foodie and for these prices I expect to be wowed.... I left wishing I had gone down the street to get a burger.... Very very disappointing.... :( read more

It's been awhile since we visited Diego's. Pleasantly surprised with the updates in sound control/ acoustics. It used to be impossible to hear people directly across the table, now thanks to the booth walls, acoustic tiles on walls and ceiling we could have a pleasant conversation with our dinner guests. Food was excellent, 3 mole dishes and osso bucco the best ever! Check out the awesome ceiling fan system of pulleys and great looking light bulbs. Can't wait to go back! read more

We had a great dinner tonight at Diego's: chicken taquitos for our app (along with complimentary chips and salsa) and carne asada. Everything was cooked perfectly and I was surprised to see that they serve a unique green rice with their dishes rather than the tired "Spanish" rice that's often so flavorless. The service was prompt and I swear our food came out faster than any restaurant I've been IN MY LIFE! We hadn't even eaten half the basket of chips before my salad and our taquitos came out. Then, before we could finish those, our carne asadas came out (we both ordered the same dish). I was almost in shock! Anyway, it was great overall and I'd definitely recommend this hopping spot to anyone looking for tasty, fresh Mexican food in the area. read more

It was our first time stopping at Diego's and wow, the food and service speak for itself. Roberto was a fantastic server, very attentive and offered some great recommendations off the menu. Been a while since we've been "out" for dinner. Diego's has been our favorite for years however, not tonight. The food was great but the service, there was none. Waiter took the order, brought the food with literally no interaction. Didn't check on us during the meal. The bus person interacted more than the waiter. The couple across from us had plenty of waiter interaction with talk and laughter but nothing for us‍. When you spend $78 for two meals and two cocktails do the math when it comes tip time @ 18-20%?? that's $15 to write down an order and bring you the bill for $15 tip?? Think again Bottom line. I can stay home, cook as good a meal for 1/5th the cost and converse with my partner. P.S. My hope is the owner will read this and act on it. We usually see and say hello to her every time we come in but she was not there tonight. read more

Wonderful menu with a lot of choices. The chicken mole was amazing! Margaritas are a great addition to the meal.

I love this local seafood place. It's on the pricier side of things but NOT expensive. The cozy but lively ambience makes you feel welcome. You get the standard chips and salsa before the meal. The food is great and the portion sizes are fair. We love the Mar y Tierra (seafood and steak platter) they have. Their margaritas are solid as well. read more

My family has been going here for years. The food is phenomenal and there is something for everyone because it is a fusion restaurant. There is 3 kinds of salsa and every single one is phenomenal. If you get the spicy salsa, beware, it is so delicious but will make your mouth hurt. No pictures were taken because we were so excited to eat. Service is great too, they are super friendly. Went to Diego's to have their steak burrito because the time before it was the best one I've ever had. This time it was gristley and too chewy so I'm guessing it was overcooked this time. My partner got the seafood raviolis which were just so so. They were a little mushy and the cheese they used on it was too strong for the delicate seafood flavor. On top of that our waiter didn't check back with us to see how we liked our meal and they weren't at all busy so I was disappointed but still gave him a good tip. read more

We always enjoy coming to Diego's when we are visiting Redmond/Bend. It's our one-night-out as a big group. I called in advance to tell them the size of our party. When we showed up on time, it was clear they had given a different group the bigger table. They accommodated us with two back to back tables which also worked out ok. Not ideal.
