Tastes awful. Don't know what exactly it is but something they're using tastes stale. Like thrift store flavor. Maybe the trays? Probably a combination of things though. Extremely unpleasant taste. So after my Filipino breakfast in Rancho Cucamonga, I arrived in Hesperia and had a sweet tooth. I saw this place wasn't too far from where I was on the road so I set out to stop by for a donut or two and some coffee. It's one of those places that seem to have everything. Sandwiches, boba and smoothie drinks, lottery tickets, donuts, etc. I came for donuts and was pleased at the nice variety I saw they had in the display case. They had these donuts that were dipped in chocolate or maple frosting and then swirled with the opposite so I tried the chocolate with maple swirl. I also saw they had a blueberry cake donut so I ordered that too along with a small coffee. It all came out to $3.05 which was a really great deal if you think of it, at least I thought for some reason. There's tables available and the place was filled. I knew why because the donuts were good. Fresh and fluffy, really satisfied my craving. It also had a nice, bright and cheery ambiance to it. This is the first donut shop I saw pulling into my new hometown area with the neon lights flashing that I could satify my donut craving 24/7 here. Unbelievable I lasted two whole weeks and even made it to other shops beofre coming to enjoy this place! There are a few other Hole in One's in the area but they seem independantly owned and operated so I will have to try them all. Great excuse right? This place has the best ham, cheese and jalapeno crossiant I have ever had. Its light, fluffy and still has a crunch to the bite. The service here is fantastic. I usually come late at night and the two gentlemen there are always fantastic. Its always clean. There are two big TVs and plenty of booths to sit at while you enjoy a donut and coffee. Speaking of their coffee, I happen to love it. I set the destination on my navigation system to Winchells while on the way to Barstow, but saw Hole In One while exiting on Bear Valley. Convenience means a lot in the middle of a rain storm, so I tried this local place. Service was fast, business was brisk, the prices were reasonable, and the donuts were very good. The staff knew a number of the customers by name, so it must be fairly popular with the locals. My cinammon bun was both a little flakey and a little chewy as fresh donuts should be. The coffee was decent (not spectacular, but a BIG cup was only $1.50), and right on the counter is a pitcher of real milk along with sugar, stirs, and lids.
