APPLE VALLEY: Greeted upon entering this clean donut shop with Boba Teas, croissants and an extensive selection of donuts. Few tables & chairs next to a bright window. I rarely have a donut and hardly a connoisseur, but Ravin' has very tasty and fresh donuts. If a donut you're cravin,' Ravin's the place. Easy parking.

I'm visiting the parents and can't believe how I h the area has grown. I was craving a Thai tea and saw their sign in the window. A quick check on Yelp showed me many good reviews so I knew I had to try it. The tea was tasty and not too sweet. I bought an apple fritter too. It was heavy (a good thing IMHO) and full of apples. Service was friendly and the shop was clean. Prices are easy to understand. I'll definitely stop by on my next visit to the high desert. read more

Fresh tasting donuts can be found here. They have are all the usual varieties that are available in other donut shops. I selected a plain Old Fashioned donut and a Mochi donut. The Old Fashioned is crispy on the edges and tender on the inside. It was a little bit bland so maybe I should get a glazed one next time. The Mochi donut is a good size and thickness. I liked the chewiness of the mochi added to the batter. Good flavor and mouthfeel. The donut was also very pretty with its lavender colored icing. The owners are very friendly and hard working. The store is clean and there is a lot of clientele. Definitely warrants a return trip to try the other donuts. read more

Went in to get a breakfast sandwich this morning . Great options . I was waiting in line , 3 people were in front of me . Then it was my turn & a man just walked up to the counter besides me & the woman took care of him before me . When she was done I politely told her I had been already waiting my turn when she skipped over me. She informed me he called in his order so she already knew what he wanted. I asked her if you call in your order do you get to skip to the front of the line? My son and I had the pleasure of meeting the nicest man working inside the donut shop this evening. Not only was he very sweet and welcoming, but he also snuck in two free donuts into our order that we didn't notice until we got home and opened the box! Went there to get donuts WOWOW WAS IT EXPENSIVE I got one dozen and the 2 Christmas Donuts it costed me $26 dollars than the guy charged me $1 to use my debit card without informing me he would charge me that fee. Ooooo I'm giving 2 thumbs up to Ravins Apple Valley Donuts. My son went in and we were going to get 6 donuts and he came out with 12 plus 1. We scarfed down 2 in the parking lot. Crumbs all over. Told me the unbelievable reasonable price he paid for these 13 donuts. And the owner waited on him. Now I know why people rave over Ravins. lol we may be back tomorrow. Thank you read more

When I walked in the shop the first thing I noticed that it was very clean and the donuts looked very good. The owner welcomed us in and was very attentive to us and our questions. They had table's inside for you to sit if you wanted to eat there. They had a variety of drinks and a good donut selection. I specifically went to try their mochi donuts but also got some regular ones as well. The food looked fresh and the prices were reasonable. So far off of that I already know I'd love to come back. I love that you can choose your sweetness on the teas. My favorite is jasmine tea and I love it without sugar. The jasmine tea had a very good floral taste and wasn't watered down. The cups were good quality and not flimsy. Overall the donuts tasted fresh I would definitely recommend them to others. For the mochi donuts all the flavors were very good and it had a slight chew to it. I would say matcha was the best. read more

First of all - I've lived in the high desert 40 years and have eaten many donuts. This place is by…read morefar my favorite that just so happens to be right down the street from my home. Lucky me! The thing that is even cooler is that it's open 24 hours a day, so if I'm craving some sweet, doughy, crispy, and buttery goodness at midnight I can stop in to satisfy my craving. I've stopped in at 2am, noon, and also at 5am. Ya, I've been to Neil's dozens of times and every time the shelves are fully stocked and the aroma of chocolate and sugar is in the air coaxing me into partaking of its splendid delights. If you aren't in the mood for sugar, they also carry really delicious croissants that are perfectly balanced with crisp and flaky crusts. You can also get them containing ham, cheese, and or/jalapeños. You can have your treat warmed or not. My favorite donuts are their buttermilk, chocolate chip filled, and apple fritters in size medium or large. They also carry blueberry fritters in medium or large sized. The fritters - an amazing balanced amount crispy, buttery, and sweet, but not too sweet to the point of becoming overwrought with the sugar. When you want a touch of sweetness, but not croissant sweet, the plain top buttermilk donut should be your choice. It has soft bread within, but the outer layer is just crispy enough to melt in your mouth. To save the best for last, in my opinion - the chocolate chip filled donut. This is a donut I've been told the Victorville shop regularly has, but when Victorville brings their delivery to the Apple Valley shop, they don't bring over the chocolate chip. I'd even forgotten it existed until a couple weeks ago when I saw it displayed just above the custard and jelly filled donuts of the AV shop. What the donut is - it's like a jelly-filled donut, but rather than jelly or custard there is a chocolate chip and fudge mixture inside. Then the topping is a chocolate fudge icing. Oh, taking a bite of the soft, sweet, and fudgy splendidness is like getting in on a taste of heaven! Ya, I'm hungry for goodies now! Cross your fingers the AV shop has my chocolate chip treat today! NOTE: Recently the name of this donut shop changed. It is now Rainbow or something. I don't remember, but I'll update soon to let you all know! NOTE 2: Although I haven't been to the Victorville shop, I do know it's on the northeast corner of Bear Valley Road and Hesperia Road right by Vons. The area isn't great during the night, but it is well populated. I don't know if this shop is open 24 hours though. The Apple Valley shop's area is near a not-so-good neighborhood, but it's far enough away that I always feel safe any time of night and day I've been. It is just on the other side of Coldstone Creamery - they share a wall. Round Table and Subway are shops over. In case you're still unsure where this donut shop is, it is in the same shopping center as Target, but it's closer to Starbucks. Go check them out! There is seating for several people including a 2 person table out front. They accept credit/debit card, but I don't know if they accept other forms of payment besides that and cash. Please be sure to leave a tip in the tip box even if it's a few quarters!

Service was great -- Kimberly was our waitress and she was friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. No wait either, just walked in and sat ourselves which was a plus. The vibe is chill with a cool industrial steel/brick look that makes it feel unique but still relaxed. Patio looked really nice too -- it was windy today, but I can already tell summer evenings out there would be a move. We'll definitely be back.

The kids had a hard time with the menu because it shows the names in Italian, but the description is in English and easy to understand. The food is still good, the ambiance nice for a date night where you might want privacy, and the staff was pleasant and attentive. I was also pleased that the waiter was able to suggest a wine like they do in fancy movies. I love wine but always forget the names of the ones I like most. We will definitely be coming back here again.

That's honestly why this visit was such a disappointment. The new building itself is beautiful, and the ambiance isn't bad at all, but the food was a complete mess. Almost everything came out cold, lacked flavor, or just wasn't prepared properly. We ordered mac & cheese fries, carne asada fries, fried pickles, sandwiches, and drinks -- and every single one of us had something to complain about, which is rare for our group because we usually don't complain. The mac & cheese fries especially were rough. The macaroni wasn't even mixed together -- it felt like plain noodles thrown on fries with cheese dumped on top. Way too much pepper and almost no actual flavor. The guacamole was so sour it made one of the kids unable to eat his food, and he's the type of kid who eats basically everything. For the amount of time we waited (around 45 minutes), we expected the food to at least come out hot and worth the price, but unfortunately it just wasn't. The free chips and salsa while waiting was a nice gesture, but one tiny portion for five kids and three adults didn't really help much. The girls working there were sweet, but overall the service felt disconnected. Two cups of water got spilled and no one noticed or offered help. Toward the end of the meal they told us the arcade games in the back were free, which was nice, but by then the kids had already played because the food took so long. The fancy robots and tech are cool, but they don't make up for the lack of care going into the food. I truly hope this is just a rough start or growing pains because the food truck has set such a high standard. I know they're capable of so much better, and I'd honestly love to see this location improve
