Met some friends at the Hold in the Wall BBQ. It was their pick so we went to meet them. I don't care for smoky food and some BBQ places have everything smoked. Luckily, this place has a few choices for the non-Q lovers. The others had the brisket, pulled pork slider and a combo of ribs and brisket. I had chicken strips and mac & cheese. Everyone said their food was really good and the chicken strips were great and the mac & cheese was good. Service was good at first but then they vanished and I had to find someone to help find our server to get water. They were kind enough to not rush us when we were chatting. Ambiance was perfect for a barbecue place.

We came here about 5pm on a Saturday as a group of six and were seated right away. We have been here many times. Both when we lived in the Springfield area and also when we come back to visit. When we lived in Reno, Nevada they often traveled to compete in the annual Rib Cook Off in Reno. We were brought menus and had our drink orders taken by Anilese. She informed us of their 30 year anniversary special featuring a whole rack of ribs, two sides and a corn muffin for $30.00. We decided to order a few appetizers including onion rings and sweet potato fries. We had two members of our family who chose the anniversary special while others ordered brisket, offered in either juicy or lean and I had a burger. Anilese was very attentive and checked on us often. When our food arrived it all looked delicious and the portions were large. We enjoyed our meals and we left stuffed. Another great experience!

If you want a delicious lunch, then this is the spot for you. I got the Smokehouse Club with onion rings, and IT IS MASSIVE! I love that they grill the sourdough bread for that extra special flavor. He got the Cowboy Burger with fries, and the patty was perfectly smoked. Don't forget to ask for their housemade ranch - it's got smoke and spice flavors added. The waitstaff were all very friendly and welcoming. They checked in on us regularly and promptly brought items to the table. The food took a little longer than expected, but it was a busy Friday at lunchtime, and they had an event going on, so it's understandable. The restaurant is well kept and clean. It has a fairly large parking area, shared with another restaurant. It's not typically as full as it was on this visit, but, again, there was an event. We will definitely continue to stop in for lunch regularly.

We had the ribs during our last visit and I was pleased with the tender full rack we split! They even made us two plates with one side on each to share! It's those thoughtful things that make a great experience! Sauces on point and seasoned just right!

Food was ok. I was expecting better since so many people talk about this place. The service was good though.

Broke down on the side of the road and luckily stumbled in here for some of the best bbq ribs I've ever had!

Garbage food bad service. Veggies and potatoes from a can, small portions, dry meat, never eat there, better off going to mcdonalds

It is abundantly clear the owner loves his business and will talk to you about basically anything, give tips, helpful recipes, and so much more. I'm a food blogger and so I love talking about recipes with him, but he is great with food styling too, and makes sure if I'm using whatever meat for a blog recipe that it's absolutely perfect. All I have to do is ask, and it's done. They run weekly specials, and it's always a great way to stock the freezer. The specials rotate too, so it is different each week. We also really love the ribeye steaks, which are perfect for a stay home date night meal. They also make food there like sandwiches and other things. Which I often forget, but the owner can absolutely cook. His baked beans are a favorite of mine, and I generally hate beans, which says something to me. Would I return? Absolutely. This is easily one of my favorite small local businesses to get behind and support. The customer service and product are always on point. I've never had a bad experience here, and I always look forward to stopping in with my husband. Review 23 of 2025.

Yet she gave the machine I was playing on to one of her she said regulars because she wanted it not checking to see if i still was playing on it which I was. When I said wait im still on that machine she barked at me and said I cant have them all which doesn't make sense seeing I was on the same machine for almost 2 hours. She needs to go work at Walmart or Dari Mart where she can be as rude as she wants but doesn't have it in her to be able to manage people and their ability to bet hard earned money. Side note I played a different machine and lost the money I had made on my original machine. She has no respect and needs to be let go. As long as she is working I urge everyone to go somewhere else or the same thing can and will happen to you.

While standing in…read morethe parking lot I looked around and noticed a building with bright yellow writing that said, "Lucky Lizard". So we went to see what it was all about. Upon entering the place I noticed a few signs mentioning they had video poker. That instantly made my gut wrench giving me a flash back of Jasper's "deli" off delta.....We entered and they did have poker machines.....but maybe only 5 and they were in a small confined area completely away from the food. The inside was clean and seating looked rather limited. All of their sandwiches were 5.95 or under. Had a selection of about 8 sandys or you could get a bowl of teriyaki chicken for about $6 too. I went with the Tri-Tip sandwich being I love tri-tip!! My wife got a turkey avocado cranberry that was served on a croissant. We got our daughter a little bit of Ambrosia salad to snack on. Daughter loved dipping her pickle in the salad and eating it....She's watched daddy eat too many steak fries at Red Robin I guess! Ok.....So I guess I'll say it even though I don't want to being the guy working behind the counter was VERY friendly, VERY nice, VERY helpful.....That tri-tip sandwich was bunk. Infact I started the review with 3 stars due to great customer service, but that sandwich couldn't keep that 3rd star up. I would give them 5 stars on cleanliness and customer service, but as for the food? ahhh i'm sorry. It's a 1 star sandwich honestly. The tri tip didn't have any great flavor to it what so ever. It reminded me of a sub-par roast beef deli meat. The gentleman working asked if it was our first time in there and we said yes, so he gave us a generous sample of their teriyaki chicken. It was ok....VERY VERY LEAN meat. Which was really nice. I didn't see one piece that had fat in it. Same for my wife's sample. He gave us a sweet chili sauce to put on it which did add a good taste to it. So I hate to kick down only 2 stars after great service and a nice sample of chicken.......But really, when it comes to how the sandwiches tasted neither of us were even close to happy with it. We didn't have the heart to tell the guy we didn't like them. And it could get spendy quickly being all side items are a la carte. 3 bucks for the salads, 1.50 for the chips, dont know the cost of drinks being we got complimentary water.
