It's a very family friendly place, with games to play out on the lawn for the kids and adults. They have a decent menu of sandwiches burgers and the usual appetizers/starters. I wasn't that hungry so believe it or not. I ordered off of the kids menu! The burgers were huge. They were double patties and I didn't think I needed that. So I ordered the chicken strips/chicken fingers which came with their potato differs, which are like thin potato wedges. You had your choice of sauces so I got barbecue and lime Crema. Both were really good. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich and could only eat part of it because it was huge too. It also came with the potato dippers. She liked what she had of it! So there is a farm that is part of Blue Barn Cidery and they just harvest it a whole bunch of blueberries so they are selling blueberry confections in their gift shop. When you first walk in you walk right through the gift shop which sells honey and candles and T-shirts, etc. They have a whole bunch of choices of cider, but I'm more of a beer guy so I got my favorite, which is Other Half Green City IPA. My wife hasn't been drinking, but she absolutely loves root beer and they have Saranac root beer there so she was happy. It was a very relaxing place to have some dinner and a drink and listen to some music outside. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be coming back.

Something about the feeling you get that you could sit there and nurse a can of something-not-even-made-by Three Heads, and no one would shoo you away because they wanted the table.... I've actually been a customer for years - from meeting friends for an afternoon cider, to attending group work events, to listening to local bands, to attending costume contests during Halloween. I always feel welcomed, comfortable, and supported as a consumer, despite my lack of enthusiasm for the latest IPA and/or the fact that I am often the DD (designated driver) in need of a non-alcoholic beverage. It is easy to miss from every entrance if you aren't careful. I've been exercising and walking the dog at Cobb's Hill for ~6 years and just this winter break finally made the walk down/up into the Grove. Accessible from Nunda Blvd OR the Reservoir, you can hike around the forest area and eventually be lead up to a gorgeous display of public water tower art. There are gorgeous murals here. Some of Rochester's top artists have left their mark and you can walk around both towers to see what pieces speak to you most. There were families exploring the day I was here, even though it was a chilly day. Don't wait many years to explore this part of the park like I did. Get over there and breathe in some fresh air!
