I had an issue with a different hotel and needed to rebook elsewhere right away on a Thursday afternoon, as I had an event to attend. Since I placed my reservation through a third party, they found me Holiday Inn Dublin-Pleasanton, which was a great replacement. And I would be compensated by the third party so it was a steal. Not only that, I arrived 12 minutes after it was booked, and checking in was a breeze. Snacks and drinks were also available for sale in the lobby, as well as a restaurant on site, and there was plenty of free parking in the hotel lot. The room was more than sufficient for a one-night stay. Clean and spacious, comfy bed, temperature control, microwave, mini fridge, lots of hangers, iron & ironing board, hair dryer, plenty of lights and outlets, large flat screen TV, soft towels and rags (though nowhere to hang these in the bathroom), and Dove brand lotion, hand soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The room even had a little outdoor balcony, a small space, but that's more than most hotels offer. Needless to say, I was happy with my experience here. read more

We were just visiting for the weekend and needed a place to stay for just 2 nights. We knew we'd be outside for most of the day, so we didn't need anything too fancy. - PARKING - Tons of parking spaces in the hotel lot. - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - We arrived fairly late, near 11:45pm due to a flight delay. Luckily there was a staff still at the front desk and quickly checked us in. The carpets and overall infrastructure are definitely a bit dated. The elevator was also a bit scary as it shook going up and down floors. Only one of the elevators were working too. The fitness center only has one elliptical that was shaking quite a bit, one treadmill, and one seated bike. They have a full set of dumbbells and one bench, along with a few mats. It definitely needed some cleaning as we found spider carcasses. - EXPERIENCE - Our room was again, no-frills, but got the job done of letting us have a place to sleep and stay. It did smell a bit dusty/old, but overall seemed fairly clean. The bathroom had a nice big mirror and updated lights, but the toiletries were broken on one of the pumps. - OVERALL - For what you pay, this hotel will get the job done. However if I knew I was staying longer than 1.5 days, or knew I'd be idling in the hotel for a longer period of time, I would pick a different location. read more

Stayed here for a long term stay. If staying for a long term stay they will hold the cost of the stay plus the incidental fee once you check in. There's plenty of parking surrounding the hotel itself. It's about a 10 minute or less walk to the Dublin bart station. The hotel itself has its own restaurant onsite which has weekday happy hour and is only open during the weekdays. They tend to have weekly specials on two entrees. The food is decent, ranges from $15-$25. There's an Outback Steakhouse, bowling alley within a 2 minute walk. A Ross Dress for Less, DSW, HMart, Savers (thrift store) Popeyes and more within a short 6 minute drive or 10-15 min walk from the hotel itself. The hotel has a here's pool (goes to 6ft deep), hot tub, and a small fitness center consisting of an elliptical (which did not turn on for the duration of my stay), a treadmill, a stationary bike, and weights ranging from 5lbs to 50 lbs, also a water refill station and two restrooms. The room I stayed in was a king bed, decent size, bathroom had a bathtub, and the room window only opened like 3 inches wide. There were a few days where towels were not available in the entire hotel (they were waiting for a delivery). The executive building has larger queen bedrooms but no tub and the bathroom appears smaller. Larger closet space and overall room size, and you're unable to open the window. However, just one elevator located at one end of the hallway. No amenities other than an ice machine on the first floor, in this building so you'll need to cross the parking lot to the other building (2 min maximum walk) to access pool, hot tub, gym, restaurant, lobby etc. Overall staff is friendly, helpful, and will take the time to remember their guest. This is my second bad experience I had with holiday Inn first they stole my AirPods and luckily I was able to track it down. Second time I booked my room too early and I asked the lady in the video if she could cancel my reservation she was extremely rude to me and called security on me when I asked her for her name because I told her she was being very unprofessional. I agreed to leave the property when security came to defused the situation. But i noticed I left my keys on the counter. I went back to grab my keys. She told security that she doesn't have it so I show security the video where my keys were on the counter. She still didn't want to give me the keys? I ended up calling the police then she got worried, pulled security outside. Gave him the keys. I have witnesses and my business partner with me the whole time I called the next day and spoke to Sonia she said we're not allowed to come on property until she figures everting out. I told her that if she doesn't handle the situation and manage her employees that I will report to corporate, and I asked for corporates number she said that I was threatening her and that she could no longer talk to me and hung up on me ( keep in mind Im a high value member) I'll be reporting this to BBB if corporate doesn't get back to me as soon as possible please watch this video and please Holiday Inn manage your team better I will no longer be coming there, and I will let my colleagues know to not to do business anymore with Holiday Inn if they don't fix this problem ASAP read more

Touring the sites of Oakland California until late. At around 11P made a last minute reservation at this Holiday Inn. Big mistake. One of the most disappointing Holiday Inn I've ever stayed at. The complex and rooms are old and in serious need to updating. Rooms are very small, musty smell and just overall feels dirty. I've stayed here before in the past, so I knew what I was getting into. Not that the place is bad or anything, the layout is just a little spread out and you'll do more walking than you might at most hotels. I knew the layout so I was able to park near an entrance to the halls near the room, but it is still a long convoluted walk thru the halls to get to the front desk or the breakfast restaurant. The room is a little dated, but the price was right compared to the other big chains in the area. Everything worked in the room including the WiFi. The room was clean and I didn't find any hairs that wern't my color! The breakfast choices were ordering from the little cafe or there's a breakfast buffet sometimes , depending on the occupancy rate that night. It's good having breakfast available at the hotel and not have to go out traveling in the morning for food when you need to get going for work that day. read more

I haven't stated in a Holiday Inn in a while, so it was great to try this hotel. It was a nice family hotel. The staff accommodated my room request and was friendly during check-in. I asked for a room as far away from the freeway and elevators as possible and they found me a good room. The tub and furniture were a little worn in places, but it was well equipped with a smart TV, microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. They even had a nice clean remote control! The bed was very comfortable, had nice new sheets, and plenty of pillows. They maid even folded the towels and toilet paper into bows and patterns etc. it was a nice touch. The hotel has a pool, fitness room, hot tub, and restaurant on site. The property was clean and seemed well maintained. My only warning to travelers is that this hotel is a little close to the freeway. If you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. read more

Yup, 3 stars is right. Cons - bathtub was big enough to fit 3 sumo wrestlers at once. I slipped and fell into the tub somehow and one finger was swollen. Main issue is the friggin thing that you need to pull up to make sure the water goes down. Ours was broken so we basically had to shower with all the water at our feet and when done, stick our hands at the bottom to pull thingy up so water goes down. Plus the handle looked like it was built in the soviet union era. I had to pull first and then turn left or right? That section needs to be updated like a mutha. Also, the walls are thin...Someones baby was crying all night next door while we were watching a movie. And the bedframe makes squeaky noises if you make the slightest move left or right. Imagine if mom and dad decided to do some other activity to relax after the baby went to sleep. Pros - That indoor pool was perfect and I would come back just to enjoy that again. The breakfast with the eggs and cheese with french toast and a side of some fresh fruits; thats what Im talking about! read more

She didn't smile or greet me properly so when I was checking in and I was paying the incidental fee there was a problem with the credit card system and when it said it wasn't working and I removed it when it said remove she told me in a harsh tone to not remove it until it says which I did follow directions so she was talking to me like I was a little kid that didn't get directions and I felt like I was being corrected. Also when she asked if I wanted one or two keys and I said two she gave me an attitude about it and giggled about it when I wasn't trying to be funny and I only wanted two keys incase one gets lost or one doesn't work. I have autism so it's a social and developmental disability and my brain processes things differently than other people. So if you would be willing to tell her to be mindful of her tone and approach and not giggle and give me attitude about things. read more

I have stayed at this place many times and the latest is one week. The service is amazing especially front desk team. All of the people are caring and greet you with a smile even at 11pm at night. I was lucky to meet with Jasmine and John. Jasmine helped me with several issues and the latest was a reservation by mistake. She recognized my voice and said she got my back and would take care of the cancellation right away. Thank you Jasmine. The restaurant people are courteous and give great service. Acknowledge Leonora for taking care of my orders every morning like family. If you want room service every day you can request. I don't so I just asked for extra blanket, toilet paper from front desk and they brought it to my room. The hotel room I got was standard and 264 square feet. It was small but it met my needs: room was clean, come with a microwave and mini fridge (very convenient for me). It has an indoor pool and jacuzzi that I used every night after visiting my daughter family. read more

I was really pleasantly surprised by my stay here. Everything was nicer and cleaner than I was expecting for a Holiday Inn. The girls at the front were kind, parking was easy and the room was nice and clean. The towels and toilet paper even had the cute folds. My only complaint is that the coffee machine in the room didn't work so I had to go to the lobby for a cup of coffee. But regardless it was still a great stay for a decent price. read more

Stayed 1/6 after a long day of travel and getting in later than expected to Oakland Air. We were awaken at 12:30am by a guest and his two hookers fighting. They continued on until security made one of them leave. That room had in and out activity for several hours and a lot of moaning and banging on the walls for hours. They kept running out to meet a car that kept circling the motel. At around 3:30am we were awaken by Dublin police banging on their door. Lots of activity right outside my window, not a safe place at all even though I've always considered Dublin relatively safe. We woke at 6:30am and checked out as soon as the sun came up. Never will stay here again! Could be unfair to say guests were hookers but considering the in and out and all the moaning going on, lots of activity! read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!! This hotel is filthy and rundown. The indoor pool smells like a men's locker room and has paint chips peeling all around it and floating in the water with your kids. The rooms are trash, the beds are hard and the sofas are saturated with stains and dog hair. The fridge and microwaves are heavily damaged appliances from the 80's. The hotel takes the $100 deposit which is standard but then doesn't return it until your bank hits 30 days and cancels their temporary hold, which is not standard. Their management team is non-existent. Front desk manager Sonia Jimenez is useless and their assistant GM Kyle Overcracker as well as GM Paul Munyasia refuse to talk to guests or return phone calls after multiple attempts when being contacted about their hotel's many issues. The front desk clerks run the show and it's like Lord of the Flies in there. Tatiyana at the front desk is a AI puppet and refused to get the AGM or GM for me to speak to stating "They're here but have more important issues to deal with." More important than the GUESTS that occupy their hotel and keep them in business?? IHG should drop this location and drop these "managers" and move on. Renovations won't help this crap hole and they steal your deposits to pay for it. STAY AWAY and stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Pleasanton instead. Much greater property and better staff. read more

The restaurant staff are awesome the food is delish. All other hotel staff very friendly and professional. Rooms are decent but the hot water seems to be running low at random times. We are here form out of town for work. I suggest taking all valuable inside with you as one of my guys had their truck broken into two nights in a row. Supposedly the security guard was on duty at that time but they still hit us and one more work truck. We are out 2k in tools. I looked up reviews on the IHG website and thought this was a decent place to stay. I was terribly wrong. The poor experience began at reception. I asked if we could have one of the newly renovated rooms. The front desk agent told me that the space we requested, 2 queen beds were not yet renovated. I thought fine and went to the room with my husband and 2 children. First, the indicator light on the elevator button to the 2nd floor was not working. We stood there pressing hoping we would magically get to our floor. When we finally got to the 2nd floor, the hallways leading to room 287 were dark and dank. The overwhelming smell of air fresher was trying to mask what smelled like wet rug and mold. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls and the sofa had multiple stains. I immediately called the front desk and requested a different room. When I went back to the agent she appeared to be displeased at my request. I told her I wanted a room that didn't smell. She said while smirking, so you don't want a room that smells?" I said no, "I don't want a room that smells like wet rug, a stained sofa and paint peeling off the wall!" I told her she was being dismissive with her smirks and then she proceeded to say, "we're told to smile" and smirks again. I told her I was willing to downgrade to a smaller space if it meant getting a newer, cleaner space. She said she had room 290 available and to check it out to see if it would accommodate me sarcastically. I went to check out the "newly renovated room" per request only to find the same issues now with a smaller room. I seriously doubted an updated room only a few doors down since she specifically said that area of the building was not yet renovated. Are you serious? I returned back to the front desk agent and said we would not be staying because the room was disgusting. I have included a few pictures from room 290 which was supposed to be newly renovated. I wish I had taken more but just wanted to leave at that point. I was upset at the lack of customer service and refuse to patronize a business whose standards are this low. Please if you're looking for a comfortable stay and great customer service this is not the place. I'm all for supporting local businesses especially during this time but the way I was treated was unacceptable. I have stayed here a ton of times and one of the reason's I do is because I ALWAYS have a GREAT experience. If I could rate them a 100 I would ;o) The staff is awesome, friendly, and incredibly helpful. From the minute you walk in the door you can tell that they really go out of their way to make you feel right at home. Now lets jump to the rooms and the amenities ... the rooms are always clean, they smell fresh and always comfortable. The rooms are a very nice and I like the first floor rooms as I can open up my sliding door and see the beautiful courtyard that overlooks the indoor pool and sauna, patio swing and lounging areas. The 15+ sauna is always calm and relaxing not to mention clean. After a great swim, my husband heads over to the gym (that's not my cup of tea ;) but he loves it. Fresh fruit and water await you...This is really a hidden gem. Oh and I almost forgot, the bar and restaurant are so conveniently located with a GREAT, all you can eat breakfast buffet. The rooms are very nasty and outdated. I would stay at your own risk. After laying down on the bed for not even 30 minutes I began getting a rash on my leg. The next thing I didn't like was the restaurant. It's a hotel restaurant not a 5 star restaurant yet they act like it is. When we got there, we were stared down. I don't want to think that it was for our race, but once we walked up to the bar trying to order something, the staff just looked at us, and the rest of the white men stared at us as well. The server, or whatever he noticed, was awkward, and he just told us to sit down at the tables. I was with my boyfriend, and I was not planning on eating that food. I had brought my own food since I was staying in the hotel and was accompanying my boyfriend. The waiter was acting weird, like he was scared of us or something. My boyfriend was like, I hope we are not getting racially profiled right now. Then a random man said I couldn't have my food in here, and if I wanted, I could go eat it outside. Like, why would I go eat my food outside if I am paying for this hotel? I just thought that was crazy. I usually stay at hotels because of work, but this time my boyfriend and I were on vacation, and this is the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel. This place is decent. Very good breakfast and fast check in. We had to use them for a night recently due to the silly power outages and was pleased with the rate. The front desk staff was very accommodating and they gave us free late check out when we told them about the power issue. There is coffee and cookies at the counter after breakfast. But the parking was minimal. The room itself was okay. I did like the comfy bed and size of tv, and the double sinks but the heating unit was dusty so it spread dust when we turned it on (-1 Star) and the sink did not drain and the toilet didn't flush well (-1 Star). They were 5 families traveling with us, and they treated all of them with great hospitality. The place had an indoor pool ( great for all the kids), a restaurant on the premises, as well as an outback steakhouse in the parking lot.. there are a lot of shops, restaurants really, really close by. God this place sucks. If it weren't for being put here because I was on a company trip, I would've stayed somewhere else for the week. Having walked from BART with a suitcase through a sketchy alley, I was relieved to find the hotel after so many signs pointed me in the wrong direction -- I ended up at Outback at 1 point because I was walking towards the sign facing the highway, not the actual hotel. Checking in was... something. The woman was either tired or stoned and had the hardest time comprehending simple questions like "what's the quickest way to BART?" Her response was "to get to your room, go down this hallway..." Lady, what? Anyway, I told her I was here for a company trip and she provided the room key and the WiFi password. No other info was provided, which sucked because apparently they had a shuttle. Instead of paying for Lyfts and Ubers, I could've been calling the hotel to transport me to and from work. This just goes to show their level of communication, which was beyond poor. The walk to the elevator was a maze. Once in the room, that's when this hotel truly shined (sarcasm). The rooms have off a "check the sheets" vibe. It was moderately clean upon arrival but still had cobwebs in some corners. It was quite chilly in the room and in the Bay but don't you dare turn the AC to warm! Not unless you want to trigger the smoke alarm with the copious amount of burning dust caked in between the filter holes. The walls were paper thin. I couldn't only hear my neighbor's conversations but also the person on the other end of the line who was on speaker. I got all. The. Tea. And also heard every laugh. Every hocking of loogies. Every obnoxiously, over-exaggerated yawn. Everything. Housekeeping did okay when it came to cleaning the room. Since I'm a clean person in general, I didn't plan on having them stop by at all during my stay. But when I received a note the first morning that if I keep the don't disturb sign on my door, they have a right to enter to make sure I'm not trashing the place I decided to let them in since I didn't want management rummaging through my stash of snacks. It's whatever to then because I didn't need my room cleaned and it was a total waste of their time but if that's their choice. When they did come, they cleaned everything but didn't restock the towels. Lame. In terms of location, it's tucked away from most things and it doesn't seem safe to be wandering outside at night. It shares a parking lot with Outback but I do not recommend eating there. Other meals are a 15min walk or quick DoorDash order away. There was 1 person at the front desk who seemed to be pretty cool. Other than that 1 ray of sanity, this place isn't great. I guess you can't take the "ho" out of "Holiday Inn." read more

I stayed here for a business trip. This hotel is absolutely not worth the $$. It is so rundown, it smells, shower temperature doesn't work well, refrigerator broken, "curtains" to the outside are not even sufficient for privacy (Literally you can see the parking lot and people can see in your room with the curtain panels closed), the door to the room has a space that actually doesn't close, but worst of all the rooms are just dirty. You know when you walk into a room and you can smell and see the filth? Yep, this is the Holiday Inn Dublin. They do not care about this hotel and you can tell in the way they allow the rooms to be rented. Check out the pictures and you will see what I mean. For an extra $30/night you can stay at the Hyatt Place down the street and it's a perfectly clean and updated hotel. The only reason for 2 stars is because the front desk gal was supper sweet. read more

The Most Horrible Hotel around and Thieves run the place! I booked a room for thanksgiving 11/24/22 and checkout on 11/25/22. Me and my Family show up on the 24th. The lady at the desk says we booked for the 23rd and had a No show. Total BS! Why would I book a room for a night that I will not be there.?. She's said she'll take care of it and booked us into a room for the 24th since we we're already there as Really scheduled. We walked inside the building where our room was. It smelled like a bunch of Hookers had a convention in the hallway. Super dated building as well. Walked into the room and smelled funny as well. Pulled out the couch bed to sleep, and No sleep is what I got. The mattress was not even a real mattress. Felt like they threw a rug over a bed frame and called it good. It was even extremely slanted downwards. Total shithole! My kid woke up with a bug bite on her eye. By the 26th was almost swollen shut! I had to take her to urgent care where they treated her. While checking out they asked how the stay was. I told them about the horrible couch bed and they offered ZERO discounts. Checked my credit card account on the 26th and they DOUBLE CHARGED ME!!! I called to resolve and they told me they will NOT refund me for the 1st night I didn't even book! They told me I didn't cancel it so they Charged me and will not refund my money! STRAIGHT UP THIEVES!!!! Bunch of Crooks at the Holiday inn!!! Don't waste your money with this shithole! There's plenty of other waaay nicer hotels around!!! I stayed here on 2/2/22 through 2/4/22. the first day was fine up until i ordered dinner from the hotel restaurant. I had gotten the bacon hamburger and chicken Alfredo... One of those gave me a pretty bad case of food poison.. It was the only thing i had eaten that day so i know for certain it was the hotels food.... i wake up on friday the 4th miserable as could be. i had all the signs of food poison, needless to say i did not want to move my body anywhere other than the bed and the bathroom... the hotel staff were very inconsiderate and felt no remorse of my situation. i was thinking maybe they would offer a complimentary day stay. i am a diamond member of their company... NO free stay , NO discounted price... NO LOVE!!! You Guys Seriously Fucking Suck... im just saying... i had to leave your hotel while i was throwing up and shitting myself rather violently!!!!So much fun!!!..   Sad to say i was extremely disappointed in this stay which will be my last... read more
