A well-lit parking lot, a nice lobby to sit and finish reports in... comfy bed, good shower, hmmm... housekeeping came every day and replenished towels and makeup remover, took out the trash... new washer and dryer on the second floor... I arrived at 5:03pm and parked to check in to my room. When I returned to my car I had a parking ticket with a 5:08pm time stamp. Within 5 minutes they issued me a ticket for $65. When I brought it into the front desk, they said that the attendant was a little aggressive and that they have a whole spread sheet for all the inaccurate and unnecessary tickets he issues. Seems like they need to find a different solution and stop harassing their guests while they check into the hotel. Horrible experience. read more

IF YOU ARE A TRUCK DRIVER, PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE REAR LOT OF THIS HOTEL AND LEAVE YOUR ENGINE IDLING! This hotel is directly adjacent to a residential neighborhood. Trucks that park in the rear lot are only a short distance from family homes. Despite repeated letters, phone calls, and in-person requests, the hotel has not addressed this ongoing problem. Engines are routinely left idling for extended periods, creating constant noise, diesel exhaust, and pollution that make it difficult for nearby residents to rest or sleep. Oregon law prohibits commercial motor vehicles from idling for more than five minutes within any continuous 60-minute period, except under specific exemptions, however those exemptions are only for temperature control and not to exceed 4 hours. Excessive engine noise violates local noise and pollution ordinances, this is a fact. If you choose to idle your truck in the rear lot, nearby residents will report the violation to law enforcement for investigation which can result in fines and for you to shut off your truck. If you are a truck driver looking for a place to stay, please consider a location that is not immediately adjacent to a residential neighborhood. Very nicely maintained hotel with great amenities and very friendly, helpful staff. We had a room kitted-out for physically handicapped so it was huge compared to most rooms we've had on our road trip. The extra room was very welcome. Little details such as firm and soft pillows with pillow cases marked to indicate which is what were great. Lots of closet space and hooks. The free breakfast was extensive with omelets and egg white omelets, warm cinnamon rolls, multiple brands of yogurt, fresh fruits, juices, bagels, and different sausages, plus the usual. They had trays, which enabled lots of people to take breakfast to their room. Everything was very clean. The dog areas were grassy and had poo bad dispensers and trash cans. Lots of restaurants and drive-thru places and a gas station in the little cluster of hotels and dining spots. read more

Room was absolutely immaculate CLEAN. Never have I seen a hotel room just THAT clean- (5/5 cleanliness). Had brand new fresh smell upon entering, no outdated or worn furniture, and bed/bed linen top notch. I would have given this hotel a 5/5 had it not been for the breakfast- Breakfast food tasted a little bland and not a wide selection for items.Flavor wise, I would compare it to something you'd get from a hospital (3/5 stars). Noise level-5/5. No noise at all on 3rd floor! Pool/spa area: 3.5/5. Would have been a 5 except hot tub felt luke-warm and jets were not real powerful. Front desk: 0/5 for woman working during the day hr shift. My husband said he overheard her speaking to a guest of how she likes to pick up the phone-not answering, and then hanging up on the customer-She explained that she does this because she feels that if a customer needs something so bad, that they can get up and walk to her desk and ask. I will be contacting corporate on her behavior for that. I'm not going to give this motel anything lower than a 4 based on on one staff member because I am basing this score off of the hotel, itself. read more

During my family's visit to Eugene, we obviously had to sleep, so we chose this HIE. Everything was above average. The room was amazing. I have never had a room with 2 king beds, but now I have. Needed a few extra pillows at bedtime and they were delivered quite speedily to our room. The pool was fun, and the while there were no towels when we got there, they were restocked quickly after a call to the front desk. The breakfast was tasty. The kids loved the pancake conveyer belt and my son said that the eggs were really good. Overall a very good stay. Hopefully we will be able to make a return trip soon read more

We stayed here while visiting our daughter at UO. The room was pleasantly spacious with a ton of extra room for the 4 of us. They have free hot breakfast every morning. The room came equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave, & a Keurig. (These we're super helpful!) There is also full size shampoo-conditioner, & shower gel in the bathroom, as well as a single-use (sealed) make-up wipe! I would definitely recommend this hotel over Candlewood Suites who canceled our reservation without any notice whatsoever at move-in in September. The only issue we encountered was that there was fecal matter on the outside of the toilet bowl. They did send someone to clean it but she was more concerned with my daughter's shed hair on the floor. Luckily, I travel with Lysol wipes. (Don't judge! ) I just cleaned it myself. But, yes, I would stay here again. read more

T'was legit! We were moving back to the bay from Seattle and terribly sleepful. We checked in here in the wee hours and honestly it was sooooo nice inside it made me rethink my previous holiday inn experiences as well as wish we had more time here. A holiday inn with laundry machines! A fridge! A microwave! A keurig ready to go! Updated decor! The staff on hand also has awesome nailpolish sensibilities. That counts right? Everyone was super nice. The breakfast was great. The beds were so comfy. The sheets were so comfy. It had a well stocked pantry next to the front desk (which we were super appreciative of at 3 in the morning) and a Denny's nearby. Andddd multiple luggage carts! We used these as we had like half our life belongings in the car. Every staff member we interacted with from front desk to housekeeping was absolutely great. I don't plan to be in the area again anytime soon but if I was, I would totally stay here! read more

This hotel is brand brand new, and I hope it stays in such good shape for a long time! The breakfast was surprisingly plentiful (not a huge buffet, but bigger than a cold pastry), with an automatic pancake machine, and a few hot options (eggs, and meat). There is a dog area toward the back of the parking lot, which isn't well-maintained because some pet owners apparently aren't cleaning up after their dogs. That's not the hotel's fault, although, I do think they should probably check the area periodically if it's part of their property. The location is just off the highway, without listening to highway traffic, so it worked perfectly for us. The room was clean and very comfortable, with a very European minimalist/clean vibe. read more

The facility is nice, but based on my experiece, explained below, I can't recommend this hotel as a safe place to stay. My adult daughter and I were staying at your Eugene hotel in April. On the night of April 20, around 8:40 pm, my daughter was ordering food in the lobby (I hadn't wanted to wait and had gone upstairs to our room) and a man who had been drinking in the bar started chatting with her. She was polite and responded, he went outside to smoke, and she brought her dinner up to our room. Twenty minutes later, he had managed to obtain a key card to our room and opened the door. Fortunately, we had swung the bar latch so he could only open the door a few inches. He tried about three times and we asked him what he wanted. He said something about confusing which room was his. But the point is, he had been chatting up my daughter downstairs and 20 minutes later he had access to get into our room. I have spoke with the front desk people, Mike and Thomas about this. Mike comped our room for the night but mostly just said the man was airline personnel and that sort of thing happens every now and then. (This is an AMAZING statement to hear from a customer's point of view.) The other amazing thing to hear is that no one seems to be very concerned that an intoxicated man was given access to the room of a young woman, whom he would have thought was all alone. I asked Mike to have the hotel manager, Jennifer Hendricks, call me when she got back to work on Monday. She never called, so I left a message on her voicemail. I called again on Tuesday, and was able to speak with her. She had no excuse as to why she hadn't called me back, but she did say someone about airline personnel, and it wasn't a big deal. Once I explained to her what had really happened, she sounded confused and concerned. Mike had told me that the waitress had made a key card for my room based on a request from someone in the bar, but Jennifer said that waitresses aren't allowed, and don't know how, to make key cards. In any case, the story that Mike had given Jennifer was much different from my version of what happened. Jennifer said she would talk with the weekend staff last weekend and get back to me on Monday, but she never called me. What bothers me most is that this could have been a very bad situation, yet no one at Holiday Inn is taking this breech of security protocol seriously. read more

(I gave this stay 2 stars due to my complaint below, but minus this major complaint about the ability to actually sleep - in a hotel...lol - I would have given the property a higher rating) We booked two rooms at your Springfield, OR. hotel near where my father is staying in the hospital so we could be close to him. Our first night of sleep was interrupted when we were awoken by jack hammers as the hotel worked on their kitchen and tore out bathrooms on their first floor. Working on little sleep from the 10 hour drive from CA and late visit to the hospital, I was naturally irritated and complained to the hotel manager in a very professional and cordial manner. They offered to move us from our room on the second floor to another room on the third floor on the opposite side of the hotel to isolate us from the noise. We quickly discovered in the morning that there wasn't going to be any isolation. They were also working on the conference rooms directly under our room on the third floor where we were moved to. Unbelievable! I've always had great experiences in the past with your hotels, but the lack of consideration for your sleeping guests at this property needs to be addressed with the management and construction team. read more

I have no complaints. The hotel looks brand new. Extremely clean. The staff is dressed clean and well groomed. Friendly and professional. Breakfast staff wasn't as friendly as the front end staff but were still professional. The gym was nice, effective, and clean. My favorite part is it was 24-7. Nicer than my actually gym at home. Provides towels, wipes, and water, and has a tv. The pool, i didn't use but looked well kept and quiet for a Friday night / Saturday morning. Hours for pool are decent 8a-10p. They had an amazing breakfast. Scrambled Eggs, make your own waffles, bagels, toast, sausage patties, cereal, and more, until 10a. Check out is 12p so we didn't have to rush. They have a clean laundry area if needed. The bed was comfy. Pillows were fluffy and great. Lighting was good. Thermostat was digital for the air / heat and pretty quiet. Really cool 3D peephole for those who don't have great eyesight. Never seen these peepholes before and was super excited about them. One of my favorite parts of this hotel is that it is surrounds with places to eat and gas stations and near the freeway. Location, location, location. The Dennys we ate at has a "Dennys Sports bar." Looked like a bit of a small town party area as everyone seemed to know each other, lots of young folks. But we experienced no problems at all. Even the service at Dennys was great! I travel from NV to WA a few times a year over the span of 20 years. I definitely know where my stopping point is and where I'll be staying next time. Oh! And this place is affordable! 5 star Yelp reviews on hotels is very rare. I have no issues giving this 6 stars. read more

I want to give this place a big fat no stars. I have stayed everywhere and never had an experience like this. We flew in from Los Angeles to see our son at UofO and attend the night game against Washington State. We get to the hotel around 11 and they tell us that even though you have a reservation, we have no rooms available! How did we find this out? They gave us a key to a room and when we walked in it was already occupied! I don't want to reiterate how angry we were and they tried to find us accommodations somewhere else, to no avail. This was all the fault of the hotel for overbooking. We had this reservation from a month before. And you have this poor girl who is trying to help us but there is no management and there is nothing she could do. We really stayed within reason when talking with her and she tried her best. A terrible situation for her. Security went to the room to allegedly kick out the people who were in the room that we were supposed to have. But there would be no one to clean the room up at 1 in the morning so there is no way we would have taken it anyway. Evidently someone at the hotel (and I use that word loosely) did not make sure they had vacated the room by 11:00 a.m. So we were screwed. I could write so much more on the ineptitude of this place but my fingers are tired. Wasted the whole next day just sleeping. Never again. Just because you have a room booked does not mean you will actually get it. They of course apologized admitting it was their fault. Do not book your room here unless you have a comfy car in case of emergency. You have been warned! read more

Horrible, Dirty and Under Construction My wife and family traveled to Eugene for a family health emergency. We called to make reservations for 3 nights. The hotel prices were the same as many of the other "nicer" hotels in the area and we were assuming the same quality. We arrived to find the ENTIRE HOTEL UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Bare sheetrock walls, light fixtures missing, exposed wires...the works. We were never told about the construction, never offered a discount and since we had already purchased online not offered a refund. We were placed on the fourth floor so that we wouldn't hear the construction, but we had to request this. The room was decent at first glance but soon found that the sheets and comforters and bed skirts were stained and had mud all over the bed skirts. Really gross. We called the front desk and told them about the stains in this supposedly "clean room". The front desk said they would take care of it right away only to have someone come and drop off the sheet at our door. We had to make the beds ourselves. WOW, really great service. We will not be staying in a Holiday Inn again. We would recommend that you don't either. read more

My husband and I travel from Seattle to Sacramento at least once a year and we always stay at a Holiday Inn Express when we break up the 13 hour drive. We've found that the rooms are always clean, they use Bath and Body works toiletries, the bedding is clean and comfy, the staff is kind and the complimentary breakfast choices are pretty plentiful. This was our first stay at this specific location and I have to say it was fantastic. We will definitely be rebooking on our next trip. read more

I stayed here a week ago for a business trip. But a lot of the amenities fell short. The halls were quite loud in that you could hear everyone passing through. As well as listening to full conversations in the room next door. The bed was comfy and the bar service in the lobby was nice. The stay didn't come with a complimentary breakfast, that has to be included within your price. But when you're paying about $150+ for a room you'd think they would boost it up a bit. The check in/our service were fair. I just don't know if I would stay here by choice. The Holiday Inn Express was way better than this experience and it's just up the street. After going over reviews about this hotel and the many surrounding hotels, we picked this Holiday Inn. We were VERY happy we did. Check in was easy. They offer free coffees, teas, and had snack center for purchase- chips, drinks, ice cream, and microwavable goods. This was a good intro. The rooms were very clean and nice. Beds were cozy and blankets were soft. I liked the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. My hair didn't turn to sh*t. Coffee was great and my hazelnut creamer was at the lobby. Breakfast offered the basics, fruit, variety of eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, pancakes, and gluten free muffins! All in all- wonderful hotel and started my day off great. I've stayed here many a time starting in 12-1-2010 for the birth of my first grandchild. Always felt safe, clean rooms, bar lil restaurant, great beds. Fast forward today I booked my last stay before my move out of Eugene...greeted by staff with green hair? Nonetheless she was pleasant but her fellow worker who had greasy hair rumpled uniform and surly demeanor. Never looking up but very intent upon his computer...no longer have bar/restaurant as description still says, I get it, it was Covid....but EVERYTHING was self serve! Plastic, wrapped in plastic. I get it Covid is over...but ok...still clean nice room...I realize I'd like an additional blanket...look in closet where you used to find extra pillow/blanket but none. Call down to front desk...Mr Surley answers "front desk" I request an extra blanket...his reply?? "You can pick one up at front desk...it's 10:00 at night...I don't feel comfortable with that...no other explanation no...we are short staffed im on duty alone...nothing. I go down anyway cause it's going to be 21 degrees and he...can barely look up from his computer again.. hands me a blanket like he's doing me a favor! No I'm sorry for inconvenience is there anything else...nothing...and mind you I'm very polite...I get it night shift sucks...but come on folks...as I walk away I ask his name...he does not look up from computer screen and mumbles "Tyler".
