I happily paid $500 a night in June for my daughter's graduation. For that amount (which I had no problem paying because every hotel was in demand at this time of year), I would have expected beds without springs pushing into our backs (not just 1, but both), housekeeping, clean towels, and the shower amenities to be filled. I stayed for 3 nights, and my room was never cleaned. We called housekeeping every day, and there was no answer. I was told the room was cleaned every other day, which means on Tuesday the room should have been cleaned. I will admit that on Monday we were out for breakfast and then back to get ready for the graduation, so the do-not-disturb sign was on the door. However, the next morning we called housekeeping for service, and again, no answer. We left for the day, and nothing. If the room is only cleaned every other day, that would be the day it was due to be cleaned. I had to go to the front desk and beg for clean towels. This is unacceptable. I contacted Marriott, and the hotel has deposited 25,000 Bonvoy points into my account (as stated in the hotel manager's email), which is equivalent to a half-night stay at a Marriott property. Unacceptable. I asked for a refund for a portion of my trip, but they refused. For $500 a night, this is what I got. I would hate to see what you get at their regular rates. read more

This Courtyard delivers what you expect from this chain. Check-in was a breeze and the room was clean and quiet. There was plenty of free parking all around the hotel. Freeway access was close by. The University of Oregon is probably a 10 minute drive from here. There are also a number of restaurants within walking distance. There's also dining (and Starbucks) available onsite. I would have no problem staying here again. It's a good Courtyard. The staff was very friendly, too. read more

It's okay but not amazing. The shower clearly hadn't been cleaned when I checked in. There's also something wrong with the slope of the pan so it's extremely slippery around the drain. The bolt on the door was broken so I had to play with it to get the door to close properly. The main drawback is very little to no insulation in the walls. You'll know exactly which of your neighbors like each other and which really like each other. I'm a light sleeper and that was less than ideal. All in all, it's a place to (try to) sleep but I wouldn't choose it again. read more

Quick 1 night stay for work. This is a newer look and updated Courtyard. While There are only two floors the hotel has a big footprint and each floor winds around and is a big confusing maze to find the elevator or ice machine. Room was clean and bed was good (not great). Still wish Marriott would resolve their issues and get HBO again in their hotel chains. Showtime is not nearly as good. Fitness center was clean and a good size. Wish treadmills faced a window and not a wall. read more

Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms with a friendly staff at a convenient location that is close to Interstate 5 without hearing its traffic. My new overnight spot in the Eugene Springfield area. My only complaint is having to return to the front desk to get the ice bucket filled because "due to Covid they have deactivated their ice machines" This is ludicris! I have stayed in over 50 hotels in 5 states since the Covid pandemic started and only 1 other hotel shut off it's ice machines. It was also a Courtyard in Oregon. How is this practice protecting anyone? It is creating additional contact with staff. read more

I've stayed here before in the past and thought I would try them again, but this visit was a little wonky. Being a gold elite member generally afford me a free upgrade and gift which generally comes in the form of a bottle of water or extra points. I don't think I received either of them at least not to my knowledge. When I called up to confirm my reservation before my visit the girl who I talked with on the phone was a little snotty when I asked about getting a room on the second floor, I eventually got a room on the second floor. Room cleaners only clean the rooms now every other day and when we checked in, I told the girl yes I wanted my room checked in since we were staying three nights. They finally came and clean the room after the second night and they forgot to replace the bathmat in the shower, which made the shower slippery And did not provide a replacement for the ice bucket. Also, the bolt lock on the inside of the room seem to be breaking down during our stay and we had a heckuva time closing it when it needed to be closed and opening it back up so we could shut the door properly when we left the room. I reported it but who knows. I do come to town from time to time and I may have to reconsider where I'll be staying for my next visit. All in all this hotel is in a good location with some restaurants around. I had ducted one point for almost falling in the shower and having to come up with some sort of bag for the ice I needed. We did not spend that much time in the room that we could sit around and wait for room service. That's something that we should not have to do that should be provided with the service. read more

Wonderful stay at the Courtyard in Eugene. All the extra care they are taking during this pandemic makes me feel safe as a guest here. There are plastic partitions up around the front desk and bistro area in the lobby. The gym is frequently sanitized and bookable, so it's nice to have free reign of the gym during your workout. Same deal with the pool, but I've really never seen a hotel gym that clean! My king room was very spacious, with a nice couch and wide desk, with plenty of accessible plugs for my devices. The TV was on a swivel so I could watch that from any angle. The new curved sliding door shower was a really nice touch. Special call out to Liz, at front desk. She was able to get me checked in early since I had a window of time during my day to check-in ahead of my expected time. Internet went down for an hour and she dutifully contacted support and kept me up to date on the progress of the fix, including calling me on my cellphone to let me know it was all fixed, all upbeat throughout. Modern, clean, ample & free parking. Room desk is perfect for work. Wi-Fiand satellite TV is fast. Beds are comfortable and a/c works perfectly. Pool and gym is ok. Shower is huge with complimentary shampoo and body wash. Only down side is Bathroom vanity is small, only one small mirror and complimentary breakfast or at least coffee. Would only stay here if needed but competitor hotels offer more amenities. read more

This is an older building.but it appears they have tried to maintain it well. Still has the popcorn ceiling but it was clean enough. As a matter of fact the smell of bleach was almost overwhelming when we entered the lobby. The lobby staff were very nice and check in was a breeze although I thought it was strange that they said you needed to make an appointment to use the pool. We were just there overnight so it wasn't a big deal and I didn't pursue that. The room was super tiny and the amenities were sparse. A tiny bottle of shampoo and conditioner but no lotion. I needed lotion so I went to the front desk to ask for some and they said they were out. This is a Marriott product so I thought that was strange. He referred me to the nearby gas station to buy some. We finally lie down to go to sleep and the heater has the most irritating whistle! My husband is so lucky he has a hearing problem because he was able to sleep. At 3 am I finally decide I'd rather sleep and freeze than get no sleep and be warm so I turned it off and finally slept from around 3:30 to 6:00 when We had to get back on the road. I went over to the Kruig coffee pot because I really needed coffee if I was going to survive the day and realized the only coffee in the room was decaf! Now I'm really grouchy but I reign in my inner Karen because the poor folks working the desk aren't the ones making the decisions that are making my day miserable. I remember that they said breakfast would be available for purchase in the morning. I remember skipping the breakfast option on my reservation and boy am I glad I did. It appeared that the only option was a semi Starbucks stand (yuck) and the only food available was some dried up pastries and microwaved breakfast sandwiches, and the selection was pretty sparse. That's ok. I got a cup of caffeine and that helped! To be fair, there may have been real breakfast somewhere but there wasn't anyone at the desk to ask in the morning and the poor guy at the coffee kiosk, while being very nice was having a hard time multi tasking and I don't think it would have ended well if I had tried to ask where a restaurant was. That's on me for not making the effort to ask. So now we're driving down the road, hubby rested, me exhausted with a bit of a tummy ache from the processed breakfast sandwich, trying not to be a grumpy ass all day. Staff was kind & beds are 5/5. We slept so comfortably here!!! I'm giving a 3 review based on the lack of restrooms by the gym/pool area. Loved the pool/hot tub: the kids really loved it. But there wasn't a bathroom near the pool, so we had to head back to our room to use a toilet! Same with the gym: the hotel gym is great, but there isn't a restroom nearby! I visited this property for a 2 night business trip. This is a typical Courtyard property with the updated lobby, Starbucks, limited bistro menu......Who actually eats in the lobby anyway? This is a good location for business travelers and if you are going to Autzen stadium. Staff is friendly and competent. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with fridges, & new TVs. I did have a problem with my TV and it was fixed within hours. There are also many dining options nearby some within walking distance. Digression: I walked across the parking lot to Hop Valley if you like beer go here. Food was way above par as well. The pulled pork tacos are a must. Back to the Courtyard... Wireless access was adequate. If you like to keep fit on the road their fitness center is clean, but small. I worked out in off hours so I had no issues but more than 3 people and you are shoulder to shoulder. Make sure you request a room on the 2nd (top) floor. Yes I would stay here again..... read more

This is one of the newer Marriotts in The area. It's upscale, trendy and brand new. It has a small gym, pool, hot tub, and a fire pit in the courtyard. The rooms are fairly spacious and functional. I stay exclusively at Marriott, and feel this is one of the nicer ones, especially for this small town. read more

06/20/2020 - One Night Stay. My husband and I were driving through Oregon and decided to stay at this location. I compared to other hotels in the area (there are quite a few) and this had the best reviews for the price. I called ahead to let them know we would be arriving very late in the evening. The gentleman on the phone sounded very nice and very professional. He said no problem, he would make a note that we would be a late arrival. When we checked in there was a gentleman with along pony tail who was also very nice a professional. Our room was very clean and very comfortable. Bed was amazing! Shower was clean and big. We did not get to use the courtyard, but the fire pit looked very nice. When we checked out, again I was taken aback by how nice and professional the lady checking us out was! WOW! This is my favorite Courtyard Marriott that I have been to thus far. The lobby was FANTASTIC and extremely modern. The breakfast in the morning was surprisingly excellent. I love the oatmeal and the toppings they give you. The lobby food is really convenient, inexpensive and good. They even had decent wine. The rooms included a recycling bin which made me really happy. I also think the huge touch screen in the lobby is really cool and it tells you all about restaurants nearby, news, weather, etc. The only drawback is that the gym was smaller than my hotel room... read more

After a lonnggg drive up from the Ca Bay Area, it was nice to pull into this Courtyard. The front desk clerk was sweeter than sweet. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable too. We had the indoor pool to ourselves for a few hours, which was really lovely too! Free parking, so dont worry about that. Another really cool thing about this hotel is there are plenty of food options around. You dont even have to drive anywhere! Just take a walk out to the parking lot and pick a direction. read more

clean room (not the largest but decent) including coffee maker (no fridge or microwave) with a decently sized flat screen TV and free wifi in rooms and in the lobby. the recently-remodeled lobby is modern, clean, and well-organized. when we walked in we were immediately greeted and quickly checked in. there's an informal restaurant that has breakfast items, sandwiches and pizzas, salads and soups, some starbucks items, and wine and beers (none on tap though). there are also booths that have individual flat screen tvs and laptop hookups and indoor and outdoor tables and couches to relax at. i also appreciated the business area with 3 desktop computers for surfing and two dedicated for printing out boarding passes. the only thing i didn't really love is that my room was on the ground floor and the only access to natural light was through the sliding doors. while it wasn't busy when we were here and it seems like this is mostly a hotel that caters to people on business, i could imagine it being problematic if there are a lot of people wandering around on the grounds around the sliding doors of the rooms. read more

It is also right off of I-5 but not close enough to get noise from it. This location also has an indoor pool (perfect for Oregon!) I recommend a courtyard facing ground-level room. We stayed overnight here when we drove to OR to pick up our new little French Bulldog Puppy that Josh bought me for my B-day / 2-year Anniversary. This place is pretty close to the freeway, restaurants and was pretty nice. The ladies at the front desk were helpful, they didn't bitch about the additional towels we asked for. Room was decent size, Couch with Pull out, TV with Movies to order almost anything you can think of even some of the movies still in theater...Nice large comfy, sink into softness King size bed. Great Shower! The Place was quiet and I got a good nights sleep. When we woke up in the Am, we were all ready checked out receipt slipped under the door while we were sleeping. Only reason I give 4 stars is because we paid the additional $10. rate so we could eat Breakfast but they started serving at 7am...we were out at 6 am. If I had the need to return to Springfield, I will definitely stay here again. read more

My brother-in-law was flown on a flight for life to PeaceHealth Riverbend Hospital in Springfield after he was hit on his motorcycle last night in Medford and could not have his brain swelling controlled in Medford. I attempted to arrange for my family to stay at this property, using my credit card through American Express and was told no, it's against property policy, despite the circumstances my family is dealing with. Every hotel brand offers authorization forms for payment by a party other than the guest. This is paired with a copy of he credit card and photo ID. I am also a business owner, clinic administrator, retired military officer and American Express Platinum cardholder with experience staying at properties of all types all around the country and the world. This property and the Marriott brand are forever off my list after my experience with Kevin from the front desk on the phone tonight, particularly in light of the dire situation my brother-in-law is in. He refused to accommodate, the manager was unreachable and he actually turned away my family in the lobby while I was on the phone arranging accommodations. Unacceptable in every sense. Zero customer service. Unfriendly to veterans. No sense of urgency or empathy. Do not stay here. Go down the street to the Hilton Garden Inn, where a form can be emailed to authorize the stay of your loved ones. I have also requested that American Express remove this property from their list of available hotels. read more

This Courtyard is one of the oldest of what are now about a dozen budget hotels in this neighborhood. It's the 80s/90s style with, y'know, an actual courtyard in the middle. The rooms are recently renovated, though, so it's comfortable enough. The indoor pool & hot tub are great for relaxation in poor weather. Location is good: quick on/off from the interstate, far enough away that noise is no problem, and plenty of restaurants within a few blocks. read more

Board room and meeting room with food/beverage service for a fee. Inside pool ridiculously small. Adjoining hot tub standard. Friendly staff. As a Platinumum Marriott Rewards slut, I stay here for biz, but wouldn't if I was footing the bill as at $139+ its on the steep end for Eugene. This is the pricing you usually pay in a bigger city. What's more, like at all Courtyards, breakfast is not included. With that said, there are a number of places to eat in walking distance including an I-Hop. Biz hotel, nothing more, nothing less in other words. read more

The hotel seems to be older in design, but has been completely remodeled. The lobby and rooms are very nice and modern. However, my room was perhaps the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. I'm here for 27 nights and with all my gear and luggage I have very little room to walk around or even set up an ironing board. I asked to change to a bigger room but they were not able to accomadate me. Also, I have no microwave to reheat things like left over pizza and the mini-fridge is extremely mini! Will hold yogurt and string cheese. Lastly, aside from the WiFi, which runs well, nothing is free here....no free cookies, no complimentary "manager's social" with beer and wine, and certainly no breakfast. So, I shortened my reservation by two weeks and plan to move across the street to the Hilton Garden Inn. They still fall within the government rate and have some nicer amenities. read more

Courtyard Eugene was more expensive than a lot of the other hotels we were thinking of staying at but we chose to stay here because of the recommendation of someone that said they have better amenities than many of the hotels that dotted the area, and that was the case. The entire staff was pleasant and very nice. This is a small hotel but a lot of people like smaller hotels. read more

This was my first time staying at this property and I was pleasantly surprised at how convenient the location was to the freeway and eating establishments. I arrived later in the evening and being pretty lazy after a long day of work, I opted to eat at their cafe. Decent options for sandwiches and other appetizer style foods, it was quick and easy to grab my dinner and head back to my room.
