Renovated lobby was very clean and appealing to the eye! I was super impressed. The rooms (we got a two queen bed) were clean and so big!!!! Two beds, a lounger, a desk, nice tv and nice stand! Also has a mini kitchenette with a microwave, fridge and ice. The bathroom was very nice and clean , too!!! The breakfast in the morning is generous compared to other hotels I've been to recently. Omelette, egg white omelette, biscuits and gravy, bacon, oatmeal, pancakes and hot danishes and way much more. If you're a family you would be saving a killing on breakfast ! Ton of food. Fair price for a very pleasant stay. Exceeded my expectations! read more

Very upset about my stay. We checked in Friday night from a long day of driving and settled into our hotel. From the looks of it, our beds seemed clean and the room seemed clean. We had alarms set for 6am to continue driving on and when I woke up, I noticed a Bed bug crawling on the pillow (it was a baby bed bug). Upon inspection, I noticed an adult sized bed bug crawling on the other side of the bed. We were utterly disgusted and have never had this experience elsewhere. We took photos so we had proof to show the desk attendant named Cynthia as well as put both bugs on a napkin and brought them to the front desk. She saw them and squashed them because she said she did not want them to get away. The big bed bug was filled with blood. We felt super gross and asked for garbage bags to put anything we had brought into the room into the bags so we did not bring any home with us. My sister had welts on her legs from being bit in the middle of the night. We asked for the manager to call us back that day. We received a call from the desk attendant saying the manager approved $40 off our stay equating to 25% off. Obviously, with our room being priced at over $150, $40 did not seem fair for all the trouble we had to do to now sort through our stuff when we got home. We later received an email from the manager saying they had "an in house inspector" check out our room and found nothing. Just because you don't visibly see them during the day, does not mean there are no bed bugs. We received another call from another desk attendant and that is when we spoke up asking for at least half our money back from our stay. We did not enjoy the free breakfast they offered, did not get to enjoy the pool, and instead rushed out of the hotel because we did not want to be there any longer. We asked to speak personally with the manager over the phone and it has been about 7 days and no word from anyone. We even sent pictures over email of the ones we took that morning, which are attached to this review. Utterly disgusting and very dissatisfied. Very disappointed in their manager and the managers refusal to call us personally. read more

Made a reservation thru Expedia for the wrong date. Corrected the date while at the hotel thru Expedia again, got a copy of the cancellation done by the hotel as well as putting it thru Expedia and Expedia refuses to refund blaming the hotels policy. Clearly the hotel accepted the cancellation so blaming the hotel is just an excuse to keep my hard earned money. SHAME. No more Expedia for us. read more

Run away. Do not say here, it is absolutely gross and the staff is offensive and incompetent. The rooms are all damp to the point where you sit on the beds and they feel like they are wet. The rooms have a foul odor. The manager is never there, and as I was told, "does not keep regular hours." The ice machine was broken the whole time we were there and every time you go in the elevator you take your life in your hands. Most people took the stairs because they were afraid of the elevator. They do not clean regularly. There was a cookie on the floor in our hallway for four days. The staff is a gut punch. They charged us all in advance for the full stay before check-in and proceeded to get a few dozen declines. Carol, the horrific and neurotic person at the front desk blamed everything on her non-existent manger passing it off on him to say he ordered her to do it and it was a regular procedure. Which of course if you have traveled outside of this hotel you know it is not. Carol yells at you on the phone and threatens to cancel your reservation. Even though she cannot recall putting you on hold for 15 minutes and forgetting about you. They charged my card wrong and unlawfully then proceeded to call me rude and yell at me on the phone. Carol, the clear dimmest light of this place, hung up on me five times. The manager will not call you back no matter how many messages you leave him. I honestly believe it is a lie, he does not exist. The insane are running the asylum. I have filed a complaint with IHG Corporate and have contacted my bank to report fraud. And all of this for over $200 a night not including taxes and fees. read more

We have stayed at this location many times and the last two times it was very unkept. The hall carpet had outdoor debris, the dinning area carpet had debris on the floor and looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a while. We just checked into our room (3 people) and had to ask for towels for showers because they left us 2 towels and one wash cloth. When we went for breakfast at 7:30 (on Monday morning), there was very little food available and their mini fridge had only a couple cream cheese and yogurt. No hard boiled eggs. No fruit or milk. Unfortunately , we will be looking for a new location to stay on our travels through Chattanooga. read more

We stayed overnight at the Holiday Inn Express in Ringgold GA while traveling home from a trip to the Midwest. Overall, a very nice stay. Our room was clean. The bed was very comfortable and actually had a thicker blanket than most hotels. The complimentary breakfast was hot and delicious and there were lots of options to choose from. My only real issue was the elevator. Kind of scary, pretty creaky. I have to say great job Holiday Inn Express. read more

Customer service is terrible I booked room through IHG using corporate lodging I was told they accepted this bit after driving to the hotel and trying to check in I was told this hotel did not accept it I have stayed at many holiday inns and most all of them accept it after 2 hours they told me they would book the room with points that they would provide but after checking inn and many hours they booked it with points but they used my points instead without asking and then refused to pay me back the points they used I have never been treated like this before this has been a very very bad experience there is no communication between hotel and IHG this needs to be. This was my first and last time at a Holiday Inn Express. When making the reservation I searched for a hotel with pool and hot tub and the fact that the pool was closed for renovation was not ever mentioned during the reservation process. Had I known there was no pool I would have never stayed there. I believe this to be false advertising as everywhere that I looked it was indicated that there was a pool. The method of turning the shower on is something I have never seen and is not clearly evident and having instructions posted would help. The hot tub should have safety handles like the shower for handicapped people. I have arthritis in my knees (the reason I wanted the hot tub) and I nearly killed myself getting in and out. Maybe even some small steps that are not as slippery as the tile floor in the bathroom to make entry and exit easier. If you book with an Apple card expect issues at check in. They do not accept Apple Pay and need to verify the card number. The apple card does not have any numbers on it as it works through your iPhone so expect issues when checking in. read more

I would've gave the place a one star but I absolutely love the room it was very nice and clean but the front desk receptionists are very rude. Especially, I suppose she's a manager because she refused to help the other employee out as she sat on her keister looking up from her glasses as though she's very bothered if asked a question. Very short with her answers too so I didn't get in her line when checking in. Neither did anyone else when walking in the door. They followed everyone else's lead to not have any interaction with her. Sad for it makes the other girl overworked everyone is in her line about 5 of us and nobody in the other girl's line. Get rid of the rude lazy worker and you'd have a gold mine here. read more

This place is ok for the price we paid. The main lobby had some HVAC issues and had a faint hint of sewer smell. The lady at check in was pretty irritated that I interrupted her Candy Crush game, so check in wasn't super great. The room was clean, but had some maintenance issues like the shower head cover detaching from the wall. Overall I'd say 2.5/5. Not horrible, but I would be disappointed if this was more than a one night stay. read more

Staff was friendly and the room was clean. Bed was comfortable... Pillows were kinda small but at least we had decent pillows. Sheets were clean, bathroom was clean, carpet was clean.. The halls were kinda sketchy but overall good place to stay. We stopped here with no reservation set up on our drive back from Orlando to Chicago. Checked in around 11pm. WEIRD place - $220 for no working telephone, remote for tv did not work, ZERO pictures on the walls (so plain!) worst of all, a VERY grumpy older man was working the counter the next morning and bit off my wife and children's heads for arriving at breakfast too late. Unacceptable to be treated this way. When I tried to talk to this man calmly about his behavior, he started reciting a bible verse. NO THANK YOU SIR. Never going back to that location! Very clean, but we paid cash, had to leave $100. Deposit. Ok no problem. Next morning we are checking out very non expressions lady asked to guy cleaning windows to check room. He comes back says 1 towel is missing. Ugh no. Back up. My husband ,my mother and I stopped coming back from funeral in Alabama, only 2 hrs from home neither of took a shower only used 2 wash cloths. Had 2 luggage and pillow. I have went to load in car. I sit in parking lot unloaded both bags and no towel. They were going to keep $25 for 1 towel. Which we didn't touch or have. She picks up phone and someone says let them have deposit back. Well first of all we wouldn't or want to take 1 towel that's used home. Only goes to show you, you better let them check room before they charge your credit card before you leave. very unfriendly an they are the thieves. Obviously recently redone. Clean comfortable sheets and beds. Was perfect for the 6 hour power nap we needed on our way through Georgia to Florida. Breakfast exceeded my expectations of a continental breakfast.
