HOWEVER, let me just say my bride showed incredible compassion and grace day of because if this had been MY day I would be getting my money back. The staff of the barn was disorganized and SO rude. They made comments about the bride and her family as well as the groom and her family TO GUESTS at the wedding. They were also exhibiting the same behavior to an entire wedding group the day BEFORE the wedding. I know some of the other vendors who were staffed at my brides wedding personally and they even said that the coordinator is rude and hard to work with and that's it their least favorite venue to work with. The unprofessionalism of this woman ALONE would lead me to NEVER recommend this venue to another person or family who is looking to host one of the most sacred and special ceremonies of their lives. Like I said my bride had a wonderful time because she didn't let it ruin her day but I would NEVER wish that experience on some one else. Your wedding day should be all about you and you shouldn't have to worry about a grown woman exhibiting such immature and UNPROFESSIONAL behavior.

We lucked out with private dining for dinner in the pub and used the heated indoor and outdoor pools by ourselves. The food served for dinner (steak with potato gratin & asparagus; and coquille saint Jacques) and breakfast (egg soufflé and waffles) was top-notch. The rooms are quite tinny, with ceilings like a corporate office building. Our bed had a few stains on the bed skirt, which we looked past because that's not used when we sleep. When I went to go under the sheets, I noticed another stain. So, I called the front desk to ask for new bedding. The gentleman brought new bedding immediately and offered to make the bed, but we just undid and redid the bed ourselves. He let us know he would contact housekeeping to fully redo our bed the next day at 11am during check out time. We got back to our room late that next day at around 10pm, and our room was a we left it with no new bedding. But it was okay because we got new bedding the night before. But it would've been a kind gesture because of the stains on our bed. The mattress isn't bad in my opinion, we've slept well. The AC does not work, nor does the heater. But they provide heaters and fans upon request. The window doesn't open, so no fresh air. After one day, our room started to smell like cigarettes, which then led into our towels. I think that's mostly just the crowd that stays here. The sink is clogged and doesn't drain properly, but the water gets super hot which is nice. They do provide complimentary breakfast, but it was just some bagels and pastries and cereal. The milk tasted rotten. I always try to see the positive in the negative, so I always give grace. I wouldn't tell you to absolutely not stay here, but just have low expectations. The staff being nice is what makes the stay not so bad. Plus I maybe there isn't much more to expect from a small town. I would say it is very expensive for what it is.

It is a Chiller/Boiler system that can only supply heat or cold air at a time. When I checked the outside temperature, it was 75 degrees. My room was 79 to 80 degrees, and there were no windows to open to allow cool air to enter. When I asked the front desk clerk about this, she said the chiller/boiler was on heat and she could do nothing about it. She said she would try to find a fan for the room, so I asked to see the manager. She informed me they were on vacation. The chiller/boiler was on heat, and she could do nothing about it. I told her I wanted to check out because the room was unsatisfactory, and I wanted a refund of the charge for the room. She explained she could not issue a refund; only the manager could. After several hours of calling "HOTEL*BOOK ONLINE and my credit card company, I was issued a refund minus the fee that the booking company takes and a cancellation fee of one night's stay. This was not acceptable but may have been the best at the time. Check the weather before you book as the Chiller/Boiler can only do one thing at a time. Provide heat or cool air not both. I would not stay here.

There's also great lounge and seating nooks. I think there's even more downstairs. I'm not super familiar with the LeBron James Foundation's work in Akron, but this space feels like a great gathering spot for the community.

I asked the cashier how much it was and she stated $17. I decided to look around the Farmers Market first and get the Tote on my way out. I came back and got the Tote, it rang up at $18 this time with tax and asked if I wanted to add a tip. I said No and continued my purchase. When I got home, I looked at the receipt and saw not only was the Tote a dollar more, but a $3.60 tip was added after I said No. I like the Tote but I do not like being ripped off.
