Watermelon strawberry salad add shrimp. Only 3 pieces for the extra $7

Enjoyable Father's Day brunch. Our server Conner was extremely accommodating (families can be picky and tough... so many personalities and tastes) Loved the ambiance... reminded me of being at the Finger Lakes. Food was good. My only gripe is that I added shrimp to my salad and it was $7 for three grilled pieces. Loved the moscato and berry patch (I have a very basic palate)

Well another trip to PA means another visit to Vineyards at Pine Lake. A beautiful day to enjoy the view at the lake and good food and company. We ordered the prime rib sandwich from the weekend specials menu, the chicken quesadillas, the southwest dip and hot chips. We also ordered a bottle of Chardonnay to go with our food. All was very good as always !

We were visiting from Florida and were really looking forward to enjoying the beautiful view with a glass of wine outside. When we asked the hostess for an outdoor table, she told us we couldn't sit outside because it was going to rain -- even though the weather was fine and there were already several guests seated outside. We assured her we didn't mind, but she still sat us indoors. We then asked if the outdoor bar had the same drink options and were told yes, but when we went out there ourselves, we found out that wasn't true. The view and atmosphere are lovely, but the experience felt a bit disappointing due to the lack of flexibility and inaccurate information. The woman running the outdoor bar was lovely. wish we could've stayed.

This was our second time here and I totally believe in the sophomore slump. Beautiful Saturday. Semi busy but plenty of tables. We went to the bar. Now this is the perfect time to engage with your customers. See what they are drinking make recommendations; this bar tender kept her back to us 95% of the time we were here. We did two wine flights and the watermelon salad with chicken took over 40 minutes for her salad which was an entire container of mixed greens with some toppings. The cinnamon vinaigrette was amazing but the wines were Meh, combine it with the service the bowl of lettuce. We will come back but it will be a while

The wine was tasty and there was a variety of rieslings and a few sweets. Pine Lake was a pleasant backdrop. Very pretty and quite large. About the size of Turkey Foot Lake from what I could see and estimate from the winery. The winery itself was not so great it looked like a place where you'd store tractors and the food was quite so-so. Bar food. French fries and hamburgers. We ordered their charcuterie which was hunks of ham, Swiss, a few other bland cheeses of poor quality, salami, mustard jam, yellow, and peppers. and a few pistachios with weird crackers and they may have been stale. Not my kind of expectations from a winery. We had just left a cute local festival in the area and the food festival offerings were almost the same as the winery. So, up to you. If you are passing by it is worth a stop to view the lake, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

Food service was extremely slow. Nice view, but don't expect food within the 1.5 hours after ordering! Horrible. Don't waste your time.

Don't get the charcuterie board way overpriced for what you get. Also side salads are $8.

I got the cider flight of "Unicorn Blood", "Burrows Berry Brew", "Pollyjose Potion", and "Scarlet Spell". They were all fantastic and we loved trying them all. We had such a good experience the first time, we had to come back again when we were nearby. My wife prefers dry wines, I prefer sweet wines, but I'm open to all types. We both found several things we like here and were pretty surprised at the quality of the wine. We did a flight each time we went and bought bottles to go when we left both times. We don't always buy bottles unless it's something we both can enjoy together. The place had a lot of character. Someone put a lot of thought and work into the decor, design, and atmosphere of the place. It was artistic and comfortable. I always appreciate that. We chose to sit at the bar both times, but enjoyed looking around at the walls and taking a trip up the stairs for a nice overhead view of the first floor. The service was great and really is the selling point for returning. It's the number one reason that we'll go back again when we're in town. The wine tasted great, the atmosphere was nice, but it's the service that puts this place over the top. Hopefully we will always have this experience, but I do believe we had the same couple serving us both times. I'd obviously highly recommend anyone who enjoys drinking wine, going to wineries, or trying out new places.

I really dropped the ball as I never took any pictures so I deserve a Yelp demerit. They offer red and white wines, beer, ciders and mead. Now, I enjoy sweet wines as does my wife so we both had a few glasses of the Moscato which we really enjoyed. They do have a Cab, a Pinot and a blended dry that I did not sample. Now, the mead. I really liked it here and they boast having a 700 year old recipe that they use to make it. I really cant speak to the food as we only ordered a small cheese plate having eaten before meeting our friends here. I must say though that the burgers and things our friends ordered looked pretty damn tasty and they all said enjoyed there choices. A Long Overdue Return to Mastropietro Winery…read more We finally made it back to Mastropietro Winery after seven years--and what a perfect day for it. It was a quiet winter afternoon, but with a surprising twist: a hot and sunny 77-degree day that felt more like early summer than mid-winter. Naturally, we took advantage of the weather and enjoyed our wine outside, soaking in the sunshine and peaceful atmosphere. I realized I'd never taken a photo in front of the iconic Mastropietro sign--so this visit felt long overdue in more ways than one. We sampled several wines during our visit, and I was really impressed. The Vidal Blanc stood out right away--off-dry, estate-grown, with just a touch of oak that gave it a subtle, elegant complexity. The Riesling was bright and delicious, and the Cabernet was smooth and easy to enjoy. But the real star for me was the Chambourcin--absolutely fantastic! If I heard correctly, it's 100% Chambourcin and estate-grown as well, which made it all the more special. Mastropietro continues to impress, and this visit reminded me why it's such a gem. Cheers to great wine, unexpected weather, and coming back to places that feel like home.

Bella Terra Vineyards is a winery, restaurant, and event venue in the small town of Hunker in…read moreWestmoreland County. It sells a variety of dry and sweet wines (e.g., red, white, rose, sparkling, and cider), cocktails, mocktails, and beers. Some vineyards are on the grounds as are many barrels and bottles of wines. The restaurant has both indoor seating and seasonal outdoor seating in lakeside cabanas and winter igloos. It is open for brunch/lunch and dinner. It is a nice setting for daily dining as well as special events such as weddings, bridal and baby showers, and private parties. Furthermore, the website lists activities such as bingo, painting and candle-making classes, live music with dancing, and more. For my husband and me, I made a reservation for lunch in an igloo. Our igloo was large enough to fit eight people and cost $50 plus foods and drinks. A larger "party dome" fits up to 14 people and has a fee of $75. The temperatures outside were very cold, but our igloo was kept warm by an electric fireplace and a zippered door. Throughout our meal, our waitress provided timely and friendly service. The Bistro menu listed shareables (e.g., pretzel sticks and charcuterie board), several smash burgers, several flatbreads, mains (e.g., fish and chips, cajun chicken pasta, and quinoa bowl), several salads, several handhelds (e.g., turkey melt, veggie wrap, and Italian panini), many sides, and a couple of desserts. Prices were moderate. (The menus for Sunday Brunch and a group Gathering differ.) The waitress first brought our Sweet Wine-Cookie Flight (4.5 stars), which consisted of the following pairs: Diamond Reo with Brown Sugar Pop Tart, Sweet Finley with Chocolate Salted Caramel, Riesling with Cookies and Cream, and Rose Cider with Strawberry Crunch. The wine glasses came in a wooden box, which was slightly too small, so I needed several minutes of time to carefully pull each wine glass out of the box. I, however, did enjoy the sweet flavors of the wines and cookies. Next our waitress brought out our shareable and two mains. The Hummus Plate (4.5 stars) consisted of fresh and tasty hummus, feta, olives, top seedz crackers, tomatoes, cucumbers, green and red peppers, carrots, celery, and tzatziki. My main course was Crab Cakes (4 stars) with a substituted side of salad. Two crab cakes were a decent size of 4 ounces each, but I would have preferred more crab meat. I liked the garlic aioli. My husband's main course was the Cali Burger (4 stars) with a side of fries. In a brioche bun, a beef patty was topped with fontina cheese, applewood-smoked bacon (which he would prefer be crispier), avocado, avocado ranch, lettuce, and pickles (which he commented were nicely crunchy and sweet-sour) (no tomato at his request). The total price for the flight, shareable, two mains, and a soda was $98 plus sales tax and tip (plus the earlier $50 fee for the igloo).
