However, I'd make most of my meals in the cabin and just do a dinner in the restaurant. One thing that's nice is they will cook your catch in the restaurant and prepare to your specifications.

The boat dock person recommended the Pontiac Lodge for its cleanliness and we decided to give it a try, and we have been very impressed with what a great accommodation it is, at such an unbelievable rate! At the end of our recent stay I have actually suggeted to the owner that they raise the lodging rate, because the $50-$57 per night rate for a great place like this does not do it justice. The lodge is hidden away from the highway, at the end of a drive way. Everything in the lodge is IMPECCABLY clean, and the air is fresh with no stuffiness which is common in the ozark accommodations. The mattresses are firm. Furnishing is modest and mid-century with some country-style furniture & lamps, but again, everything is very well maintained. It's, very comfortable with fully equipped kitchen, great location hidden away from the highway & and has beautiful lake view that is framed by trees over the large decks. We hope to return soon!

We were very rudely told we were not supposed to use those towls at the pool . I explained we had no others and did not know we were not allowed to use them . She then very grudgingly got up and got us 3 towels ( for 2 rooms 8 people) and scolded me again for using them. I felt so bad I told her if she like I would take them and wash them. (No washer on site) SATURDAY asked AGAIN for clean towls and was told NO WE USED OURS AT THE POOL. 8 people now not showered for 3 days because we can't dry off with clean towls. Also they watched everything you did. We were extremely uncomfortable. Will NEVER stay again. And will tell everyone why. Also FYI. Others at the pool were also talking about how bad customer service was.. 6-9 thru 6-12 2022

There was some confusion when we checked in as they said there were only a "few steps" to manage to get to our room. It was on the second floor with a full flight of stairs to ascend to get to the room. This wasn't happening and we were checking in pretty late to begin with so I was a bit worried. They did end up getting us something on the ground floor, so that was nice of them. We did end up in the units way far away from the pool and shops. Side note: If you have ever had the unpleasantries of not being able to walk, I do not recommend, not 10/10, not even 1/10... it sucks. I am sorry if you are dealing with that at all. Anyway. Back on track. Rooms are fairly large that we have had and kind of feel like an apartment more than hotels. Beds are comfy, they are clean, and it's pretty quiet around. Some of the appliances had to have been bought before this place was even built as there are numerous versions of straight up analog shit all up in the rooms. It's like a travel back in time. They have some nice pools and decent poolside bars and food places. The wings we had there were quite good, but that's another review. There are lots of things to do nearby and a few restaurants in the area that are pretty good. One place we ate was outstanding. The best carrot cake I have ever had. I think it starts with a J. GPS worked great at got us right to the registration building. Registration went very smooth with Nyx checking us in. We were in Condo 5 in Hamilton Cove. The outdoor pool was within walking distance and was enjoyed by my daughter's family. My wife and I took advantage of Tuesday Bingo at the local community center. Everyone was warm, friendly, and welcoming. The condo kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed to prepare meals for my family. Suggestion please sharpen the prep knives in the wood block. I was grateful I brought my own, a larger skillet and pot. All appliance worked perfectly. There were 4 adults and 3 kids. The condo accommodated is very well. My daughter had a Tesla and there was a local charging station within 4 miles of our condo. We took advantage of mini golf, bowling, hiking, grocery shopping at Harps, and Dollar General. All were located closely to our area. We drove down to the Fairfield Marina but did not take advantage of any of the activities. I left my golf clubs at home, but there was an 18 hole golf course nearby. My daughter and her kids visited the local cave.
