My expectation when you are shopping for $150,000+ vehicle that you are treated nicely when visiting a dealership. I looked on the website and it was advertised that they have several Class B RVs by Coachman on site. The website evidently mis represents the inventory as Holiday is some sort of chain. We walked in the dealership and asked about the Coachman and a guy steps out of his office and says they don't have any. I said your website listed several. He said we have them in Houston. There was no offer to show the other class b models . Just rude. I would buy or order from them. read more

We drove to this location from Houston to look at an RV we found on the internet. We negotiated the deal all by phone. Once we made the trip (towing the trade in) to Dallas and actually toured the unit -- we were not satisfied with its design. The salesman made every effort to alleviate our concerns and even tried to add some electrical outlets to the unit for us - unfortunately this wasn't possible. We decided to look at some other models and found JUST the right fit for us!!! I felt bad running the salesman around like a rabbit - but he was a great sport and resubmitted ALL the paperwork quickly- the financing and everything was done same day as well! While we were waiting on all the changes the staff was constantly offering water and asking if we needed anything. Also I got a chance to watch the service personnel deal with lots of incoming customers who all had different frustrations. The service women were VERY confident in their knowledge of parts and service. This dealership works really hard to make you feel like you are getting red carpet service. read more

This place is so shady. They sold us a camper they said to they did an inspection on. Less than 2 weeks after bringing it home we were replacing floors that my foot went through. Replaced hoses under the sink that were leaking. Fixed caulking where you could see daylight through. Then our first trip, 3 of the 4 so called new tires they put on it went flat within an hour of each other. After battling with the bs warranty they sold us, Holiday World told us if we had to purchase the tires they'd reimburse so. It's been nearly two weeks since I sent in the receipts and still can't get anyone to respond or call us back. Don't waste your money here. They'll screw anyone over for a $1. At least if you're new to the RV market, don't make the mistake of telling them like we did. read more

First of all let me say most of my bad experience was dealing with finance. I met the salesman who showed me several units, did not have what I was looking for but was open to suggestions on other options. Found one I liked and looked at it and others several times. I will say it appears the staff does not spend time getting familiar with the units they currently have in stock to be prepared to answer questions. The salesman was very polite and courteous while making the sale. When I decided on one I liked I told the finance person I was already approved with my Credit Union and wanted to go through them. He was VERY pushy on letting him do the financing or letting him do the application and send it to my Credit Union. I said no, just send them the worksheet, they will take care of it from there. He continued to argue to the point of almost bullying by refusing to do as I asked. He said I can beat your Credit Union. I repeatedly said I have it already taken care of just send them the worksheet. This was on Saturday, he stalled and after multiple emails repeatedly asking me to fill out a application so he could send the loan application to my Credit Union (which I refused to do). I called the GM on Wednesday and told him I was going to back out of the deal if the worksheet was not sent to my Credit Union ASAP as it was my choice how and who I finance through. Finally this issue was resolved and before noon on Thursday the loan papers were signed via DocuSign. Other issues by finance was I was told the Credit Union requested I go by the dealership to sign something. I called the Credit Union, this was not true as they had made no request. He also said he needed to send me papers that needed to be signed for my trade-in. I had requested copies of everything I signed the day before when I picked up the unit. I had a signed copy of the same one he sent me asking me to sign before they could do payoff. Which took 10 days to the local Credit Union! Will NOT do business here again and would NOT RECOMMEND them. read more

Being in Dallas from the east coast I was in desperate need for parts to fix my septic dump system. My RV is a 1996 and when I showed them my part they said the parts are no longer made. However, Jackie Barrett, wen to work with a smile on her face and enlisted the advice of a technician and together they figured out a conversion to make it work. This is my third RV purchase. I purchased a used 2014 Dutchmen Razorback, 34ft toyhauler from this establishment. The PDI was not done! Major components did not work. The onboard generator failed after running only a few minutes. The carburetor was gummed up and had to be flushed and cleaned. The gray water dump valve was seized up and the actuator cable and valve needed to be replaced. The furnace did not work! It wasnt even connected and the tech found a nest in the duct work. The service plan I bought didnt cover any of these items. I paid over $900.00 in repair costs. A low price shouldnt always be your first choice. I know better now. I wanted this specific RV, that was the only reason I used these guys. Never again. read more

They got it fixed much sooner than estimated and did not even charge me for the minor repair that was my fault. On a return to Dallas from a quick weekend trip to Boerne, we experienced not one but two blowouts! The first blowout damaged the under carriage up into the insulation and we thought up into the cabinets. Thanks to help from people driving by and a Coryelle County deputy and Marks Tire Service out of Evant, TX we made it home. A 5 hour trip took us over 10! So, then the calls begin. Who to make the repairs? We made our claim with Allstate. They were fast, nice and very accommodating. We called HW out of Mesquite because that's where we bought the trailer. Mark at HW and everyone there went above and beyond from the first phone call We took the trailer in and my husband met with Mark. Mark ordered all the parts and kept us updated on communications with Allstate, etc. We had another trip planned at the end of October but Mark wasn't sure he could get parts and make that trip happen. We knew we wanted to get rid of the China bombs, (if you haven't done it already, don't wait) and since Mark was so forthcoming with all the updates, we coordinated parts, repairs, wheels, tires to all be done before our trip. Even after finding out our wheels had been discontinued! They also did our state inspection, inspected our roof, and double checked the AC for any blockages. Now, that's not to say there weren't some hiccups but HW worked through them all and we made our next trip. read more

Everything went well initially. We bought a used travel trailer. We were assured that they would go over everything to make sure that it was all working properly We went to do a walk through and were told that they didn't get it inside because of some big repair jobs on other units. We proceeded to look through the unit outside with-it spitting snow. They turned on the AC briefly and said see it works. It could have been a fan and it would have blown cool air on that day. When we got the unit, the AC didn't work in the heat any better than a fan. 90 degrees inside. Took me three days for someone to return my call. When they did, they told me that they had brought it inside and for the most part turned it on and said it worked. The other person said it was never inside and with the cold temperatures a simple turning it on wouldn't tell you much. The phone conversation was more about how they did their part - not much about what we could do to try and fix it. Also blinds that we were told "oh, they must be secured for pulling" didn't work at all. Would have been nice to open since the AC didn't work. My opinion - they never really checked the AC properly and under proper conditions. Three days to return my call told me they weren't interested in the customer. To busy trying to make it sound like they did their part to try and help solve my problem. Misleading at best about the blinds. And on top of it all they asked if we bought the extended warranty. What the heck? I needed the extended warranty to handle something that didn't work went it left the dealership! It's unfortunate that we had to spend three days trying to get them to call us back! Good customer service doesn't take that long! It's a dealership that I would not recommend - buyer beware! read more

Update to previous review. I took my RV to them on 6/12/20 to get four lights repaired/replaced and have it inspected. I also asked them to see if there is anything they could do to make the satellite dish I purchased work when connected through the RV. I currently have to run the cable through the window directly to receiver. The day I took it to them was scheduled by them, so you think they would get to it fairly soon. Got tired of waiting and started calling. Always told it was second in line and would get to it soon. Finally was informed it was being serviced, but then heard nothing. Contacted service again and was informed service tech who started job was no longer with company (fired) and would assign another service tech to complete. Started calling back again a couple days later, but was informed the service writer I was dealing with was out of state and after a few calls on later days he still had not returned. Told them I would pick up my RV in two days and they said it would be ready for me to pick up. Arrived on July 21st and again informed it was ready but they needed to finish up looking into satellite issue and would be 20-30 minutes. After about an hour, and noticing my RV was sitting in lot and no one had even looked at it, I told them to forget the satellite issue and I was taking it home and was informed it was ready. Here's what I found when I went to hook up my RV. Batteries were totally dead (9.3 V) which happens EVERY time I leave RV with them. Connected to my truck to charge and noticed every single light, inside and outside had been left on. Every outlet cover for cable connections had been taken off. Basement siding was left unscrewed where the first service tech was checking out satellite cable. Unit had not been washed as promised. So, I had been told it would be ready, but it was obvious that after they fired the service tech who started the service, they just pulled it outside and parked it and NO ONE had even bothered to look at it, yet I was told it was ready. Didn't find out until I got it home and started cleaning it up that it was also infested with RATS!!! Had never had a problem with rodents before!!! So, I will NEVER walk into this dealership again and will start taking it to the Alvarado location for service. I hope many people read this review and avoid this place like the plague. RUN LIKE HE-l and NEVER SET FOOT in this place. If you read this review and you do, you will get what you deserve!!! read more

I will be the first to admit- I am new to the whole camper world. I recently inherited a T@B camper and it is awesome. Problem is I know very little about campers and what things I need to make the experience fun for all. Enter Holiday World. I went in and explained to them that I didn't know what I might need to buy because I didn't know what things worked or didn't on my camper. They asked what type I had and then spent quite a while explaining what things i need to check on and how to test the sytems(electrical, water, etc). I priced some of the things they said I might need to replace and learned another thing about the world of campers and Rvs-they ain't cheap. I did price these things at other places -and Holiday World fell right in line -price wise- with other places. I went home used my new found knowledge and now have a glorious man cave set up in my driveway. I look forward to taking her out on her maiden voyage soon- all thanks to the expert advice I was given by the fine folks at Holiday World! read more

DO NOT BUY THEIR EXTENED WARRANTY. We were reluctanly talked in to buying the 60 month extetended warranty for our Cougar 5th wheel that we purchased in October 21. We had a few problems on our last camping trip with the water pump only pumping a tiny stream of water and the refridgerator would not work on LP gas. We took it to a repair center and the extended warranty company declined the claim. the water pump issue was due to the water line that runs between the pump and the fresh water tank was too long (from the factory) and got a kink in it. The problem with the refridgerator is the propane line got squished running the slide in and out. The warranty people said both issues were damage (our fault) and refused to pay the claim. I contacted Holiday World and spoke with the finance manager JP whom assured me he would get to the bottom of it and that both issues should be covered. For 3 weeks I continued contacting him but didn't get anywhere. One excuse after another then it went to his "director" and I have not heard another word. If you purchase an RV from this dealership I highly recommend you DO NOT BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. read more

If you want a hassle free, enjoyable RV buying experience- THIS IS THE PLACE! We shared what we were looking for and we were shown RVs with those items. Miles-the sales guy is as good as they come. Knowledgeable and professional but also chill and personable. They had a hamburger and hot dog area that we enjoyed while waiting on info about financing. Chris-the finance manager was also very pleasant to work with. Lots of smiles and laughs while still doing business. We worked out a great deal and came back a few days later to pick up the trailer. They had it washed and ready for us. (It had poured all week-so I'm sure it was dirty) Jona- showed us thoroughly in our walk through before leaving with it. And Jackie-the parts department manager is a sweet heart. She got us all set up and gave great info and recommendations. Not one bad thing to say about our experience. We concluded which campers we should look at based on what we wanted. Found one i'm VERY happy with. No high pressure sales. The sales manager Chuck was friendly and supportive too. And I even was able to stay in the campground for two days while I secured a new tow vehicle. The service department was readily available for whatever questions I had! Went to Holiday World for a RV hitch. Had it installed and we went our way. After 1 use for about 2hrs one of the bolts completely came off. Thankfully we made it home and noticed it after RV was removed off hitch/truck. We immediately took hitch back to be repaired and after a week we get a call to pick it up with a $400 repair charge!?!?!?!?! This thing is brand new and should be under some kind of warranty. They refuse to pay for bill because when we dropped it off at service they gave it to the service guy instead of parts guy and said we should of mentioned where it needed to go. I said I didn't know where or who it needed to go to just wanted the thing fixed/replaced! I wanted to get what I paid for which was a good working safe hitch. At this point I'm not even sure the thing is safe. But would definitely NOT recommend this place for their poor customer service, bad quality parts and lack of concern and safety for their customers. I never do reviews but decided to do one because I myself look at reviews in order to help me decide who I'd like to use for certain things and also for peoples safety. read more

Deceptive Practices from this RV dealer. Went to the Dallas RV show, met this dealer and purchased an RV from them or so we were led to believe. All was great.. Celebrations and all took place.. Told our paperwork would be ready Monday to come in and finish it all up and do our walk-thru. Monday came and drove an hour over to the dealer and first they lost the paperwork and finally I was told to redo the paperwork.. Then I was told I didn't pass credit and if I put more money down and paid a higher interest I might be able to get into one. Well from the RV show and all the paperwork and time, I was assured I had already gotten my RV. Just as a note, this wasn't a huge ticket item RV or Motorhome just a lower end 29,6 foot unit. Since we were told we purchased the RV we spent the entire next day locating a lot on Lake Tawakoni so needless to say this was very disappointing and a huge waste of a weekend... read more

This happened a few years ago but I saw another post similar to my experience. I was at the Dallas RV show and purchased a 17' Gulf Stream Vintage Cruiser. I was so excited and got a good deal. Did the paperwork there and also told them my bank could finance. I didn't hear back from them so I called, and called, and called. After 3-4 times of getting a rude receptionist on the phone who would leave me on hold, I just gave up. I was so disappointed. I am retiring at the end of this year and am going to pay cash for a travel trailer, but it won't be there. read more

If you like high pressure sales , rude business managers and an overall bad experience, this is definitely the place to go for your next RV purchase. We saw an ad on Facebook and went in to their store to check out a used travel trailer. We liked it and were considering buying it, but we never make a big purchase without discussing it and sleeping in it. However the folks at the store were not about to let us leave. First, they wanted a deposit to hold the trailer until the next day, which we foolishly agreed to. Then they wanted to do a credit app, then sombody else came out to tell us that they would "give us a deal" on a distribution hitch and brake controller for $800 (items with a total retail value of less than $400). Next comes the business manager shoving a sales contract in front of us. He got very indignant when we explained that we were not going to decide right then. Once we finally got out the door, it took us no time to decide that although the trailer was nice, we would not even consider buying from them. We called, sent texts and emails to the sales person for two days asking him to return our deposit, no response. Finally we spoke to the business manager who rudely agreed to refund our deposit. We purchased a 2006 Winnebago. When we went to register the unit, the Dallas County Tax Office sent a note saying that the title for the unit was a salvage title. This was not disclosed. I am sure no one would pay $32,000 for a salvage vehicle. Just sent the bill of sale and the letter to our attorney. read more

I bought my 2012 Keystone Cougar fifth wheel new and was very pleased with the sales and service people.However I have bought some extras and had some service work done and I just assumed that I would get treated fairly and the prices would be the same as anyone else that sold Keystone aftermarket products. Was I ever wrong! I ordered a replacement fenderskirt and was told that it was $115.00 for the part and $100.00 for shipping since it was so big.I talked to the shop manager and he said that was the case since he had ordered them in the past. He also said that it would take 3 to 4 weeks from the factory.The shipping seemed expensive so I called another dealer and he sold it to me for$83.99 plus $35.80 for shipping. So buyer beware . It looks like they want to gouge you on the parts and the gouge you on the freight. read more

I bought a used late model towable, took it home loaded up, and in less than 10 days had it set it up in a North Texas RV lot where I will be living for awhile. The very Next day discovered it had a leak at the water heater, plus all throughout the night the power inverter kept kicking in and out & needed to be replaced. Called and talked with Jaime the service rep, she was very helpful, she truly wanted to help knowing that we just purchased this unit a few days ago. She suggested I call back and speak with Tommy the Sales Manager. I called and asked to speak to Tommy the Manager, the receptionist said "he is in a meeting", so I left a message with her. Tommy called me about 3 hours later, it seemed like I was an interruption to him, he was very rude, and disrespectful. I told him the situation, water leak, and power inverter, and that I talked with his people on several occassion about these two problems. He said you had a 10 minute walk through inspection. But their tech never hooked up the water to make sure it was working properly during the inspection, I told Tommy, I would be willing to bring the unit all the way back to Mesquite for his tech's to do perform the service and I would like some help with the repair costs since has only been a few days since we purchased it. Tommy said "Too bad, so sad for you, but we will not warrantee any of it". You bought it used, and there are no warranties even if was only a few ago. We can have our tech's look at it for you the first week of January, and give you an estimate of the repairs if you want to bring it in, but no warranty work will be done. Buyer beware, shame on them for taking advantage of a senior citizen on a limited income. Shop elsewhere is all I can say. read more

We are first time buyers and the staff here told us very little about our trailer. The gentlemen that was showing us how to work everything knew very little. The sales team and staff are all talk they tell you what you want to hear to get you out the door. We have received several letters asking us to fill out a survey and they have failed to supply the survey in the letter. If you are a first time buyer and know nothing I suggest you go some place else. Thankfully utube can teach all you need to know about the campers. read more
