    The Edina location has great parking, spacious indoor seating, and looks like they had ample selection for a Sunday afternoon. I got pain chocolat for $6,and their pastries never disappoint. The drip coffee is self serve, which goes perfectly with their pastries.

    After getting my nails done, I decided to grab a treat in the area and this cafe was delightful! There is a free parking ramp next door! Walking in, the vibes are very upscale and fancy feeling! Plants, an open kitchen and modern decor really sell the vibe! There is a fair amount of seating but it was so busy, I took my items to go! The service was friendly and polite but slow. I was not greeted when I came in and had to wait for someone to notice me at the front for my order. The food: Get the chocolate chip cookies!! Perfectly crisp on the edges, soft on the inside! The flakey sea salt adds to the flavor! Sooo tasty! Some of the best I've had in the twin cities! The crepe cake was moist and not overly sweet! Very well done! The carrot cake, muffin, and almond monkey bread were spectacular! Whoever is baking is doing a phenomenal job!! They do serve some breakfast and lunch items, as well as some alcoholic beverages. I will be back to try other treats for sure!

    My visit to Bellecour was magnifique! I had the luck of visiting during opening week and was able to get my hands on a couple of pastries and lattes for breakfast. The space itself is absolutely adorable. There are lots of seating options--both tables and couches--which I always appreciate. Everything feels bright, well spaced, and beautifully decorated along the walls. You'll find framed photos and memorabilia from Chef Gavin's culinary career, along with coffee and merch for sale, but the true stars here are the pastries. I indulged in a Pear custard Danish that was decadent and magnificent. You could tell the pastry dough was made very recently--folded and handled exceptionally well, then baked to a golden, buttery perfection. The pear custard filling was rich yet tart, with a beautiful balance, and filled just enough that every bite felt dreamy. The small pieces of pears in the middle were my favorite! I also indulged in an Herb & Cheese Scone which while not as riveting as the Danish, it was still exceptional. The lattes were good, but not something I'd necessarily return for. The pastries, however, I would fight a bear in the woods to get my hands on. If you haven't been to Bellecour yet, I highly recommend visiting either the Edina location or the newest North Loop spot.

    I can appreciate this new space that Bellecour has curated after its amicable break from Cooks. Just a block away from its previous location in North Loop, Bellcour is serving up breakfast and lunch during the day before turning into a swanky French hot spot at night. The day time service encourages you to order at its broad counter, with pastries immediately drawing you in under a glass domed case. I will say, I anticipate there being some confusion about where to stand if it gets busy. You bump into a skinny counter right when you walk in and then the ordering counter is situated behind it. I am not sure which way the line would go, but luckily it wasn't too busy for an early Thursday lunch. I had the breakfast sandwich and my mom had the quiche. Given that the sausage patty was so massive, it felt more like a burger topped with egg and cheese. It was solid but would not go running back for it. The milk bun felt a little stale (maybe that's how it's supposed to be) and I just don't love American cheese; even though it melts well, I feel it does nothing from a flavor perspective. The egg was fried and cooked to perfection and the sausage patty was made in house and had an excellent flavor profile - maybe some rosemary and for sure a good spice level. The rouille that accompanied the burger, I mean breakfast sandwich, was interesting. My understanding of rouille is a traditional red French sauce that is usually paired with fish? I think I would have preferred a creamier aioli with this dish. However, the rouille was creative and provided some additional heat. My mom raved about the quiche, apparently melt in your mouth eggs with a thick, flakey crust that was devour worthy. Her only complaint was the crust was lacking on the bottom and really only stood up on the slice's back side. We also snagged a take home chocolate chip cookie which was well received later: soft, sweet and salty, crisp on the outside, doughy on the inside, and near perfect. The dining space is cozy with bright windows that give you an intimate view of the daytime commuters. It's easy to tell that the space transforms at night, as it doesn't feel fully curated during the day, more like a bunch of tables randomly placed in a room with a vacant bar. It's seat yourself and it did appear to become more and more crowded as the morning went on, so something to keep in mind. Even though it's a Gavin Kaysen establishment, I believe there are better breakfast spots out there. I would be eager to try their dinner and see how it compares to Spoon and Stable?

    I took a cooking class at the Cooks Bellecour in North Loop and had an amazing experience. We made a fall pasta, salad, and an apple tarte for dessert. The instructors were very helpful and knowledgeable. This was a great date night experience. Our class had about 20 people split into three groups who each made their own portions of the meal. I would definitely do this again

    Anniversary breakfast after a night out in the town and we had wanted to try Cooks Bellecour in Edina. We had a previous anniversary dinner at Bellecour and loved it and heard they had opened two sites now in the Twin Cities. They offer all kinds of classes and training options for all the delicious items they prepare and have a prep kitchen and store with a for sale bakery. We had chocolate croissant, ham and cheese classic and and almond item with coffees and sat outside to celebrate the morning. The line out the door highlighted just how good everything is and the location keeps you off the strip of 50th. The place is clean, classy and delicious!

    Haven't taken any cooking classes but loved seeing all of the kitchenware available. Would be a fun spot to stop by for gifts for others (or yourself). They also sell pre packaged pastries like banana bread or macaroons, refrigerated goods such as sandwiches and fresh pastries like croissants and danishes. The blueberry danish was super good and buttery, the banana bread was nutless and had the right amount of sweetness. I also enjoyed my oatmilk latte. The salmon tartine was just okay- needed more of a sour/vinegar component. Service was good. There's a free parking ramp next door, which is my favorite part. I will need to come back to try a cooking class.

    Great cocktail and good wines. Cozy and fun. Food was a bit salty. Shrimp cocktail dry. But overall pretty good. Service was tops.

The staff was helpful and provided information regarding best type of care of the pans and how to cook with their cookware. I love that Nordic Ware is an American made brand that makes high quality bakeware. If I am in the area and in need of cook ware I would definitely come again.

I visited in mid-November, so they had autumn and Halloween things on mark-down and quite a few new winter pieces out. The folks who work here are the nicest people and they actually wanted to help me save money---how awesome is that?! I'd found a few pieces I wanted, and one of the ladies who worked there said, "I think we have those in the back," and took me to where they have the yellow tag seconds and clearance items. Here's a helpful hint for if you shop in this area: the uglier pans are apparently the ones for industrial use, meaning they are not pretty on the outside but the interior is triple-coated and will last a lot longer because they are designed for heavy use. Now, with all the goods in this section, you have to look carefully for scratches and dings, but I found things in good condition that were about $20 less than their 'pretty' counterparts across the room. The factory store doesn't sell goods online. They are all about the treasure hunt mentality. I certainly found some treasures!

Up until now it had been Rose Bakery.

Super friendly, great energy (especially for our quieter group), and did an awesome job making the class feel personalized for each person. She was passionate, knowledgeable, and gave a ton of really helpful tips. The final dish we made & tasted was delicious!!! 10/10! However, for $95 I expected a lot more. I haven't taken many cooking classes before, but I assumed we'd leave with leftovers or at least cook everything we made. Instead, I watched our raw gnocchi get thrown away rather than prepared, which was super sad to watch it get wasted and honestly disappointing. For nearly $100, it would've felt more worthwhile if the class included a more complete meal, like a simple salad, a piece of bread from their sister bakery, or even a glass of wine! The class itself was also very short. The recipe came together so quickly that we were in and out in about an hour, which didn't feel like enough of an experience for the cost. A few small improvements could go a long way, like adding an angled mirror (like in cooking shows/demos) so everyone can easily see what's happening in the pots instead of awkwardly taking turns leaning over a boiling pot. Overall, the chef and instruction were great, and I genuinely enjoyed the experience, but between the price, the short duration, and the lack of a full meal/no take-home component, it didn't quite feel worth it. The management was so friendly and they quickly gave us a run down of the bakehouse. They make all the treats here for Honey & Rye (minus the bread)! The kitchen is so cute and perfect for a date night idea or a fun night out with a friend to try something new! We got to taste test yummy bao buns, make our own, and even brought some home with us. I will definitely be going back for more classes in the future. So fun!
