This location smells incredibly disgusting, like fish. The only reason I walked in was bc I wanted one of their soccer graphics but not even my dog wanted to walk in. IMHO I came to buy a gift card for my granddaughter. When I called the store to ask if they sold gift cards and where exactly in the mall they were located, the nice clerk gave me very good instructions and which mall entrance was closest to Hollister. The store was neat, clean and organized. I think there was only the one gentleman working the store, and he was helping a young man with his order and purchase, so I had to wait a little while. But the clerk nicely told me he'd be with me soon. The fact that he acknowledged my presence and that I'd be next, spoke well of his customer service skills. After he processed my gift card purchase, he made sure to tell me that sometimes the gift card will slip out of the card holder, so make sure it is secure. Searched around the web and found a winter jacket that will fit for my up coming cabin trip and the Hollister jacket caught my eyes. It was showing that it was available at this location so I decided to pay this store a visit. Right when I walked in , I found more nice jackets aside from the one I had in mind. Got excited and grabbed a couple to try on. Both the jackets looked good. It was a hard decision and was I being indecisive. Looked in the mirror and I wish there was someone to help me make up my mind. Luckily Bernal (who i later found out the store manager) happened to be around. Bernal was able to help made up my mind. Thanks goodness. Lol. He had his input and it definitely does help to hear it from him. Bernal also went out the way to make sure the jacket that I picked was a certified down jacket. He also suggested for me to become a rewards member by just adding in my phone number and email. The jacket was already 40% off plus an additional $10 off!?? What a steal! I do feel that it makes a difference when you shop a store that has great management. The store was organized and inviting. All the employees that I ran to inside the store all greeted me and make me feel welcome. I'm glad I made the trip to the store instead of ordering online. Awesome experience. This review was for Memorial Day weekend at this Eastridge Hollister store. I would give this store ZERO star. First, waited over 1/2 hour at the register while the "manager" was closing some registers. There is a long line of customers waiting. Why can't you do this after the store closed? Workers are incompetent, charged me for something that I didn't buy. I discovered it right after we left the store and brought the item back. The cashier was not happy that she had to refund me and said "I tried to give you a free shirt". What?!!! You didn't give me anything free! You've made an error mixing up a shirt from the counter and charged me for it! When this cashier reversed the sales transaction I lost the $10 credit that was applied to my first transaction! I asked for the manager and she was useless. She said she was new and she does not have access to return the $10 credit and that I had to go to Great Mall's store to see if they can help. Seriously??! Can't believe this happened! These workers are so incompetent and rude. I have not shopped at Hollister since then and I will never shop at any Hollister stores again. If I could give zero stars, I would. Recently started shopping at Hollister since I really love their jeans. But I buy my jeans at the Hollister at the Livermoore outlets. I went to the Eastridge a couple of times to pick up an online order and the customer service is just horrible. They really don't care about you they just give you an answer and a mean look. I never even got my online order that I sent to pick up at this location. It's cool, I got my refund back quicker than I would have gotten my clothes, I even spoke to customer service and they said my order was shipped to the store on 12/19, and an employee named B.Eddow signed it. If am looking for a place to find clothes one of the main things for me to consider is a well lighted store. THIS IS NOT THE CASE FOR Hollister. I can never understand the calming soft lights that they have in this store. The concept of selling outfits in dim lighted venue is ridiculous and conceptually manipulative. I guess they are trying to calm the customer when looking at their merchandise which is tagged with a ridiculous price. One can also be suspicious that the store is doing some visual trickery to make customers fail to make any sound judgement in color and quality. Sure this place looks like a man cave but it is no different from going into a horror house minus the creepy music and scary actors. By the way, I did buy something in here....the trick worked but I had a hard time choosing the color because of the damn lights! Saving grace...an attentive store clerk who looked for my requested shirt size but alas the size is unavailable. At least there was the effort. Would have given a half star more but when I was ready to pay, there wasn't anyone over the cashier booth. Waited for about 3 minutes before someone finally came. Love going to this store, but most of the time I can never find what I want. Workers here are nice and friendly. One time my wife got me a polo shirt for a really good deal. The one thing I don't like is most of the clothes here can be pricey. I love their soft polo shirts, but when I come to buy one they never have the style I like. Nothing exciting here but also nothing really bad. This feels like a smaller Hollister than some but overall I got the same experience that I get anytime I walk into a Hollister. The store isn't too bright so it can be hard sometimes to see how some pieces may look in good light. This includes the fitting rooms with below average lighting but that is part of the desired store appearance. The clothes are decent to good quality (speaking for men's clothing only) and they usually last me a while. I think the quality is pretty comparable to A&F with a much better price point. It doesn't take long to walk through this store but I've always found sales or good stuff on the sale rack. The store could use some better organization and standardization but I do eventually find what I'm looking for. I usually get greeted by an employee but sometimes if they aren't staffed you might have to wait a couple minutes for a fitting room. The lines can take a few minutes depending on the employee and number of registers that are open but I've never felt like I was waiting too long. Overall it's your average Hollister...a little on the small side but if the sizing and style works for you there's no reason to avoid this location. read more

I haven't tried it...but I bet I could literally fit a pair of these jeans around one of my thighs; the pants are that tiny. Even the large clothes are tiny. If you want a complex, come here. Today I was walking by and saw a scarf in the same style I've been searching for in the exact length I wanted draped perfectly around the neck of the over-tanned, slutty-looking teenage mannequin. So of course, I had to go in and buy it. I love it, and it doesn't have any logo of any kind on it, so no one will know it's from here. Right! That's what I thought at first. But once I got it home, back to a normal-smelling realm, I realized the thing reeked of hollister. I called them up and they said they spray the clothes with some sort of Hollister Co. scent spray (that I obviously couldn't smell while I was in the store--aka the perfumed mother-ship). Hollister clothing to me is a mixed bag. They carry some cute looking tops for women and nice shirts for the men. However, I do not own a single piece of clothing from Hollister. Reason is, they don't carry real sizes for real people like me. BOO! Medium sized womens shirts seem more like a small. While small to them is more like XXS. One time I tried on a large knit hoodie, which looked nice and comfy. I thought it would be a perfect fit, but boy was I wrong. I could barely even put it on. By the time I looked in the mirror, I felt and looked like a tightly wrapped lumpia with extra meat bulging out on the sides. Worse, I had a hard time getting out of the sweater. Walking in, this branch looks like a typical hollister store, dark and stuffy. I'm not a regular shopper at hollister but needing something from here that I saw online and wanted to take advantage of the 50% off. The workers here are not at all helpful and rude! I was asking the girl about a jacket that I was looking for and she didn't seem like she knew where anything was. Then I asked this other girl about the jacket and showed it to her on my phone. She GRAB my phone and said she was going to check the back...surprised to me she walked away with my phone! When I asked for it back she said that she needed it to look for the jacket. Then gave it back to me with an additude!!! Who does that?!!! I give them two stars for being clean and that's it. Why do they keep the lights so damn dim in here. I like some of the clothes they offer. I do not go here much because it smells like a boy band in this store and it is so dark in here you can not even look at the clothes. If you like big crowds of crazy customers tearing apart the store, go to Valley Fair's Hollister. If you want lazy employees to ignore you, check out Oakridge's Hollister. And let's not even get started on Great Mall. Let's think about it - A Hollister? On the East Side of San Jose? Who's going to shop there? Exactly. I used to frequent this location because no matter what time and what day I went, there was never a million customers making the store unshoppable. I usually don't shop at Hollister because I heard bad stories about how the company discriminates people, but my mom and I saw that there was a sale on their jeans for $25 so we went in to check them out. My mom is the type of person to ignore sales associates when they ask her questions, but there was this one girl in particular who seemed genuine and knowledgeable about the products. The Asian girl (found out her name is Jessica) noticed that we were just browsing, so she asked us if we needed any help and even showed us some cute clothing options and how to style them. We left the store satisfied and even got to bring home 4 pairs of pants and a couple tops. We didn't feel discriminated at all, and will be returning the next time we are in the area. I have been working here so I know what this store is like. First of all, let me tell you about the bad treatment I get from the crappy manager. We have 3 manager, Lohni, Lauren and An. An is fine. Lauren is slightly bad. And Lohni was a bitch. The managers did not give me proper training but instead they just keep yelling at me in front of the customers. Especially that fucking joke of a manager Lohni. They never told me where everything was. Instead, I was harrassed by them. I should have reported them to the DM when I had a chance. I was sent during my first week without training. I asked her about how I was not told where everything was but instead she yelled at me in front of the customers just like you. I love the fitted t-shirts here. They are the ones with the hollister logo on them. I like the material of the shirts because it is thin but durable through numerous washes. So many merchandise on sale at this location. Jackets are about $29.99-$39.00. The fitted t-shirts are about $11.00-$20.00. Everything was organized and sized yesterday. The worst Hollister I've ever been in. I worked at a Hollister for a while, so I expect a decent amount of customer service, especially if I know what regular customers do that's beyond annoying to the associates, and I make sure to not do anything to make their jobs any harder. Every time I walk in there, I have to literally hunt through the entire store for an associate to help me, and even when I find them, they're usually incompetent. Either they stare at me with the blankest expression, or they don't even have a walkie to ask for a stock check. The store is usually trashed as well. Went in today to do an exchange/return didn't have the item I was looking for so decided just to return. Associate was doing my return then said I need to get an approval. Came back then said manager said we not doing returns due to the coronavirus. So I was like what I'm still within my return policy why would I keep something I will not be using still have tags attached that's money loss. He said I totally understand and I'm sorry let me ask the manager again. Then manager walked up and said we not doing returns because of the virus and I was ok but I'm not going to keep an item that I'm not going to use and then go over the return policy then can't return it. She says I don't have to answer you. Do whatever you want. She was very rude unprofessional who does she think she is making her own policies. She doesn't own the company.
