Food is always good, hot and the portions are the perfect size. services is AMAZING!!! Atmosphere is always great!!!

I tried to get lunch here, but in the end I left and went somewhere else for lunch. I walked in and the place was empty, but a server was along shortly to seat me. I took a moment to notice the large vintage film projector they had by the door, and the clean, modern, rather dark decor of the place. I won't fault them for any of that. She seated me and asked what I'd like to drink. I asked what they had, and when they said they had Coke products, I asked for a Coke Zero, as I'm watching my calories and sugar. They didn't have Coke Zero, and the only thing they had without sugar was Diet Coke (which they were out of). When they said they were out of Diet Coke, I asked my server what they had to drink that didn't have sugar. . .she got a puzzled look on her face, stared at me for a few seconds like that was a bizarre request, and then said water. She said she was going to go check, she went back and asked someone in the kitchen and confirmed that's it. Water. No other diet drink. No unsweetened tea. On that note, I got up and left. I figured that was a bad start to a meal and the attitude I dealt with in even asking discouraged me even more. If you were here looking to be calorie-conscious (or watching your sugar intake) with what you drank, they didn't have anything for you. . .and even asking got me some funny looks. read more

Great food and service. Had the Cajun wings. A little different as this wings were wet vs. a rub which is what I was expecting. Needless to say they were good. Fried pickles were good and the beer was nice and cold. Great ambiance with the live band playing. read more

I ordered a takeout order. It was ready in about 7 minutes for pickup. I have always loved the crispy chicken salad they have. As usual, it was delicious. I also love the atmosphere upstairs in the.bar area. Very nice as well as inviting. read more

Food was solid, basic; didnt get sick. I ordered a chicken salad & mrs some grilled chicken. Service was also solid; room was large, open; it was ok, not cozy, lotsa wood. Didnt have any Modelo so i ordered a Bud Light. Got charged for both but beer just cost $4.00. Keep the change! read more

The food tasted average and the price was a bit steep for what we received. The server did not refill our drinks as we had to ask to get refills. This appeared to be a good place to take a family out to eat. I heard there was a bar area upstairs, but did not go up there so I cannot speak on that. I would like to see the prices a bit lower or the food quality better. I would also like for the waiters to be more interactive with customers and attentive. read more

The small town charm at this place could be felt upon entering and looking up the long flight of stairs. And if you're there at Christmas, the decorations inside this old theatre turned restaurant made the vibe that much more homey. It is a big place but wasn't busy at all when we went on Sunday. The staff were college age girls who were super nice. The fettuccine Alfredo was pretty good as was the ribeye sandwich. Perhaps because I've had neither for a while. But trust me when I say get the tots. Because I don't know how they make them so darn crispy. The home made chips were solid too. The Philly cheese steak was pretty good and came recommended by the waitress. But I'd probably pass next time. They got a huge hanging petzel with beer cheese which looked awesome. The bill prices in a 3.5% "restaurant fee" I guess because they assume you'll pay with a card. But you can back it out if paying with cash. Pool tables, darts etc upstairs (see video). read more

The restaurant was in a very cool old brothel had been remolded with exposed brick and a bar upstairs. Our waitress was very friendly and provided excellent service. We all had wings at our table. They have both boneless and traditional. The selection of sauces were amazing. At our table we had teriyaki, BBQ, Kickin Bourbon, and Mango Habanero. They were all delicious. I would rate them as a 5/5. We also ordered chips and cheese dip. It was too thick and only a little warm. The taste I'm sure would have been better if they had warmed it and thinned it more. I do highly recommend this restaurant. We will come back!! read more

Girls upstairs are the best of taking good care of us. They make the best Peach LIT's. Food is great.

We came on a Saturday afternoon and they weren't too crowded so we were seated quickly. Our server was Courtney and she was very polite and attentive. Our party of 4 ordered different items that came out still warm from the kitchen. Cheeseburger sliders were good and the fries cooked crisp. Other items included ( sorry no pictures) chicken strips and fries and chicken quesadillas and chips/salsa. Everyone enjoyed the food and the interior of Holly J's is very nice and inviting. First time here. The historic old theatre turned restaurant is beautiful inside. Very clean with a traditional casual atmosphere. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Kept our drinks full. We ordered a CENTRAL CITY BURGER with ONION RINGS. And a GRILLED CHICKEN SANDWICH with BAKED POTATO. Hubs said burger was one of the best he had ever ate. Onion rings cooked perfectly. Grilled chicken was fresh. Seasoned just right and not dried out. Chips and salsa as an appetizer. Salsa was very good. Definitely will be going back. read more

Very good fried shrimp plate and bone-on parmesan-garlic wings. Only downside is no public wifi.

The service is very slow, however the employees are friendly. The food is very basic though and lack flavor. The inside is very nice and has a comfortable atmosphere. read more

The good- our server was great, kept the drinks topped up and was available as needed. The bad- stopped in on a Friday night to what sounded Like a kids karaoke party upstairs at FULL volume, it went on for the hour that we waited for our food. Ambiance gets a zero. The Ugly - did I mention it took over an hour after ordering to get our food? When the food came it was just sad, my chopped beef cheese special sauce was way over cooked and had the appearance of having been put back on the grill to re-heat, the homemade chips were over cooked and had no seasoning. So to summarize; an hour plus wait for food listening to 7 year olds singing frozen at full volume and poor quality food. Save your money, time and eardrums and just go to Arby's. read more
