The pulled pork sandwich was good and delicious, but lacking in smoked flavor. We ordered onion peddles as starter and very good flavor. Our waitress was Lacey and she was a true gem, a diamond in the rough. She made sure drinks stayed full, and did all this with a great smile. This is not a place I would recommend to friends traveling in the area . We choose to sit outside on their dog friendly patio with our two medium size dogs. My husband went inside to order because no one ever came out to wait on us. We were one of only a handful of people even outside. The bartender brought out our drinks after we ordered. .There were two waitresses that brought out our food .After that no one came to check on us and ask how our meal was or if we needed more to drink .My husband had to go back in and pay as no one ever brought out our bill. The food was like hospital food when the good hospital chefs are not present and they leave the bad chefs in charge. The mashed potatoes were watery and had bottled parsley dumped on top of them. The pork chop was dry, except for one or two bites around the corner. It was like it had been suction packed from the grocery store. The pork chop had a big squeeze of Dijon mustard on top- like For WHAT though? The barbecue sauce I ordered on the side was cold and tasted like Sweet Baby Ray's from the grocery. The Brussel Sprouts tasted like plastic. The dill pickles appetizer was white. Not browned at all. The iced tea was so cloudy it was like mud and served in a chipped plastic cup. We stopped in for a late breakfast/early lunch on Sunday around 10:45am in between games at a basketball tournament. We had 14 people in our party and they sat us right away! Our server was great and was not annoyed about the size of our group! They let us know we had about 15 minutes left to order breakfast and then the lunch menu would be available. Most of our party ordered breakfast, but a few ordered from the lunch menu. Our food came out quick and accurate. I had the southwest omelet and it awesome! Everyone was happy with their food. Prices were very reasonable! We will return when we are in the area! The restaurant is very big and they have a nice area for outdoor seating and entertainment! We are happy we stopped here on our way through. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is great! You can tell that this is a favorite place to go for the locals. We came from Santa Claus since there aren't a lot restaurants close by, and we are glad we made the trip! Our food was excellent - very well made with quality ingredients and unique combos. I had the fish tacos and chips and salsa. I liked that the red cabbage was pickled, I've never had it that way before. The tacos were full size tacos, definitely not the mini tacos you'd expect. And they were stuffed....now so am I. Only $11! They had over 48 beers or something like that, some of them were brewed in house by the Tell City Brewing Co (which were only $3 and were great!) Our service was a bit slow, but our waiter was very helpful and had lots of helpful suggestions. I love that this place is in an old machine shop, it has a lot of character! We will be back, this place almost deserves to be somewhere like Louisville or Nashville instead of Tell City. read more

I've been here several times in the last 8 years, have had a variety of experiences good and bad under prior managers and now the current. One positive is the live music and that they offer outside or inside seating. Drink menu is decent. However, it's overall, very underwhelming. Service is slow. I ordered the brisket French dip with sweet potato fries. This entree is the worst I've ever had here. The fries were so soggy that they seemed baked, doused with water and not fried at all. The French dip was salty and the brisket looked gray on one half of it. I've also never had a French dip anywhere served on Texas toast. The server never came back to check on how our meals were nor noticed that myself and another customer left everything on our plate. I do not plan to ever return, it's been more of disappointment than not. read more

Excellent flavor and large portions will have us returning to this out of our way destination. While camping at Patoka Lake we decided to venture out. We'd previously driven by this restaurant the year before and fell in love with the renovation of this historical building. Within thirty minutes we arrived on a Sunday morning. The place was busy, but we were seated promptly. A brunch buffet was behind us, but had only four warning trays and wasn't visited by anyone while we were there. Upon ordering drinks the waitress advised us that she didn't have a liquor license and it might be faster if we went to the bar to order. My spouse waited at the bar for about five minutes but no bartender appeared and he returned to the table frustrated. Our salads were delivered after we waited quite awhile and had to remind the waitress one was missing. Our food was carried out by a young busses who apparently couldn't identify our table this it was returned to the kitchen before we could say anything. When it arrived my potatoes were lukewarm and the prime rib was charred and over cooked. My husbands burger and potato casserole was hot and done just right. So service was marginal, food temperature and delivery was poor, but it has awesome potential. The inside decor and setting is large and beer nice. The bathrooms are upscale. If they can correct service and work on food temperature this place would be five stars. A great establishment in a town with little else around it. read more

We visit there often. Service is good along with the food. We were told on on our last visit a few days ago that Pour Haus had been sold and is under new management. They now have alot less menu items and have added only a few but nothing spectacular. Prices seem to be a little higher. We ordered the potato skins and they have changed. They're not loaded with bacon liked they used to be or the size they used to be. They used to be loaded with bacon from end to end. They were good but skimpy on toppings as you can see. The club sandwich is still good...even after the hair my wife pulled off of it which the server saw her do and apologized. ..but the club is half the size it used to be under the new management. I ordered the Monte Cristo but instead of french toast I ordered it on texas toast. It was good but they still sprinkled powder sugar on it though. It was a good visit but we wont go as often till the menu is expanded. I received a reply from Pour Haus on Google. Response from the owner 23 hours ago "Hi Steve, as the staff gets accustomed to some of the new menu options, there will be more choices. Thank you for your suggestions and we look forward to seeing you again soon." What? Staff gets accustomed to menu? It's your customers you should worry about. First time there after a suggestion from my daughter. My first impression wasn't the greatest, "just another sports bar!" They definitely have more to offer. The appetizers arrived smoking hot and the portions were huge! The quality of the the food was the biggest surprise, FANTASTIC! We had onion petals and beer cheese pretzels. Both were delicious, hot, and plentiful. Our waitress, who was fantastic, kept the drinks full and checked on us often. Our main orders arrived and wow was my reaction!. HUGE PORTIONS and prepared to perfection. I had a ribeye steak with steak fries and steamed broccoli. The steak was perfect, fries were hot and crispy and the broccoli was hot, tender, and steamed to perfection. The overall experience was great and the food was second to none!!!
