I never really write reviews. But this is just not okay. This company is totally okay with handing over merchandise that the customer is not happy with. They do not care, whether you're happy or not, they do not try to help nor are they apologetic for completely messing up your order. First of, getting them to respond to you on a timely matter is a challenge. I've had to write the Courtney person several times asking her to respond. And it's not until I cc Miles, the owner that she responds. Courtney's energy on the phone is that if a high school student who will not be bothered with customer service. She is not nice, or helpful. She does the bare minimum. Is not forthcoming with in formation, even when I explain that this was my first time ordering trophies. I ordered 7 trophies in total. One of them being slightly bigger. Well, in return they created the other six, in a matted finish that I never agreed to. I wanted a shiny finish on all of them. I tried to ask them to fix this since it was costing me several thousand dollars to purchase them. I got a No, it's too late. One minimal ( just like in Courtney fashion) apology. Then to get them to me at my home has been another fedex headache I will not bore you with. I still have not received my trophies. The point is, I will never go back to this place. And they sure did shoot them selves on the foot with this one, because my dance competition is only going to grow, and they could have been my ongoing manufacturers. Miles, was wayyyyyyyyy better to interact with. Someone needs to send Courtney to customer service school or just learn how to be nice. It's not that hard. Stay away from this business. read more

The final products I have seen on their site look fantastic, but I've been trying to get a quote for over a month with no follow thru or results on their end. Filled out the web form, and got some follow up questions the next day. I was initially super optimistic, but after two weeks of hearing nothing, I followed up and was told I would have a quote Monday. No response. I followed up Weds and was told I would have a quote by the end of the week. No response. I followed up again Monday of the next week? No response. I've been real disappointed in their followup- hope other folks have better experiences than I have. read more

I entered the little store on Melrose in October 2019: my order was a ring design, requiring if I they could help me develop a 3D graphic mode and finalize it with a wax model for jewelry making. Miles, the owner was encouraging and confirmed that my idea was within the request of what their business does. I signed up online and defined my ideas, including all details as good as a "newbie" to this experience can. I made a payment of over $950 that includes the wax rendering within two weeks. From here-on the story was just an agonizing episode of delays, denials, postponement, misunderstandings and the final result was below any expectations. Basically I ended up with a product I can't use... Today, Today, nearly six month later I picked up a model that is missing important details like the agreed adding of logo and time stamp... I pointed this out standing there in person and received a very lackluster denial that "...once you approved the design, we just follow your request..." One of my first revision notes points out that the logo and time stamp was missing and I was informed that "...we don't add this until you approve the design first..." I'd overlook the lack of front desk curtesy, droopy personality and the missing touch of client-service: but it clearly demonstrates a business that cares the least for dedicated and professional interaction. I recently had Hollywood 3D Printing make a reproduction of a statue that I had always wanted for my personal collection. I had been able to purchase a small 8" statue and photos from the internet so that Miles and Phillip would have something to work from to help me get exactly what I wanted. I discovered that they the have the technical expertise to create and use the computer program required for three dimensional objects. Mine was perhaps more challenging due to the size of the statue being more than 30" in height and 22" in width with many intricate features. After developing the computer program to my satisfaction, the actual manufacturing of the piece in the available material presented the next challenge. I was given feedback and shown images to insure that I was fully satisfied with the progress. The final critical step was to apply the surface coloring to make the item resemble the original bronze statue that is in a museum. I was aware that to produce an object of quality would take time and I was will to give Miles all of the time needed to finish my piece, trusting that the wait would be well worth it. The final product turned out to be exactly what I wanted. I give Hollywood 3D Printing, both Miles and Phillip and staff an outstanding recommendation for their meticulous work and effort in producing an object of quality for me, one that I will cherish for years to come. First of all - a great website: easy to upload the 3d part file, select the material and get an instant quote. Boom done! I just received the part (a few days later) and it looks as if it was professionally injection molded with a subtle and attractive surface texture that I wasn't expecting but makes it look and feel more expensive. But more importantly the part performs beautifully and fits perfectly. In case you're wondering the part is a wall holder for a Frigidaire hand-held remote control for a large wall mount air conditioner model FFRE2233S2. If you have this AC don't bother checking with Frigidaire they don't carry a wall mount holder for the remote. I was transferred to Miles, who I found just as layered, complicated, and oddly ordered, but order nonetheless, as I expected someone in such a fascinating, incredible, forward, and progressive industry as 3D printing. Miles could do the job in time, and within an agreeable price. Miles agreed to some kind of veteran discount, and we agreed to meet the following morning where I'd provide the file required for the sacrifice...and, money of course. I hand delivered (4 hour round trip) a simple 4 inch plaque so I could make 7 inch replicas for Veterans. I needed them fast for a ceremony. I was drawn in by a reasonable cost, ($475) but then they raised the price by $300 several days later. They told me that for a good copy they would have to use resin for print-out, and that's why they had to raise the price. However, originally when speaking with Miles/Phil they guided me to the ABS. I came in here this past past May to have a 3d print of my family crest. I brought in an original drawing from the 1800's and the clerk photographed it, showed me the options in print quality (and their respective prices), then told me he would get back to be later that day or the following day with a quote. I hadn't heard back for a week so decided to call again. I was told they would get back to me later that day. Still no call. Called again a couple weeks later; no call back. Great looking 3d prints, but pretty bad customer service from my experience. What's with that? read more

I heard about Hollywood 3D Printing through a friend, and I was intrigued. Prominently displayed in our dining room is an antique picture frame; a 95 year old oval brass frame that had forged brass embellishments at four symmetrical points on it. Over the years the right one had broken off, and I wanted to have a replacement made to fit the gap. I went into the shop and saw a myriad of cool art and gadgets on the tables, and I was introduced to the proprietors Miles and Philip. I showed them the frame and I was walked through the game plan. The missing right embellishment space was 3D scanned, as was the complete left one. The guys at the shop showed me the digital scan when they completed it, and they 3D printed a mold of the missing piece. It was then used to forge a metal replacement piece out of bronze, and then they added their magic to match the aged patina that was present on the rest of the frame. It was affixed to the frame and I have to say, it fits perfectly! It's like it was never broken. The crew here took great care of my property and made sure when it was complete that the new piece was indistinguishable from the rest of the frame. I couldn't be more pleased! read more

Fast and fantastic service. I took in a part to a glass top dining table that I was unable to order a replacement for from any furniture store in Los Angeles, and had it 3D printed in a day. They took the part, made a computer model of it and printed an exact replica. I was also given a copy of the file for the computer model in case I ever need it printed again. Oct 6, 2016 This really hurts me to write this as I am so "broken" by Hollywood 3D and left on my own. After an hour of meeting with Miles going over renderings, specs and what I expect from them - I HAVE NOTHING. A complete object was to be made. It was going to be made in 2 parts. I was charged and paid. Then was told they only can do the "outer" part of the model. But, for more $$$ they could complete the simple "inner" hollow box part. I paid again. I find out now 2 weeks before I'm leaving to China the MODEL they said they could do, they can't. Their machine is kicking it out because it's too thin. The emails went back and fourth. One saying the "scroll" work can be done but the "box" part can't then a few more emailings later it was reversed saying the "box" can be made but the "scroll" work can not. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm ready to blow! So, they have lied to me, took my money, lied to me again and took my money again and I have NOTHING that can be used. They had no problem meeting me in person in the shop BUT, to pick up the item, NO, WE NEED TO SHIP IT. It's a 10 minute drive to their shop for me. At this moment I have not spoken to anyone, everything goes by emails. I just learned the "inner" box that "would fit perfectly" to the "outer" work is not happening. I put my trust in them. They seem to understand EVERY WORD OUT OF MY MOUTH as also witnessed by a friend I had brought in with me. I'm screwed now with NOTHING to take to China with me. I had another project also being worked on by a CAD engineer through Hollywood 3D - any and all work is done with them - . My future branding line of over 50 products will never be touched by Hollywood 3D EVER!!!!!! Up to date today Oct, 7, 2016: I gave Miles a chance to resolve the issue - NO resolve and I am left with nothing to bring the trade show in China as I placed all my trust with Hollywood 3D. This place may me good for little knick knack stuff but, I learned NEVER to place all my trust in one basket. MY business is in danger now from their lies. My spirit broken and no where to turn with just over a week and a half until the trip. I was told by Miles he would refund me in full. But, as I trusted them in the first place, why would I trust them again to refund? Seeing will be believing. Once I had posted this review I received a scathing email from Miles at Hollywood 3D. I won't bore you with all it said. But, he hammered me for putting this posting up. And told, "how much they did for me and no good deed goes unpunished" WHAT? I HAVE NOTHING FROM THEM!!!!!!! They FAILED at producing a final product. As I told him, this is what happened, there are no lies on my part in the posting. I gave Hollywood 3D a chance to solve the issue and said I would take the bad review down. This did not happen. So, I feel I'm just in my posting and warning for small business and up. I would have loved to write something "glowing" for the underdog but, it simply isn't the truth, they are now just "dogs" to me! They have NO consideration of the cost of the trip the development of the designs, the animated OBJ format and the rest of the investment. They just worried how little they were out of. Not only did they assure me it was strong enough, but they printed the piece as we spoke, and sent me a video of the structural strength. I was sold!!! I thought about framing my first business card, but I then thought I needed something more substantial. I stumbled upon Hollywood 3D Printing and at first had no idea what 3D printing was about. Went there to get a quote on a project and met with Philip, who turned us over to Miles, very nice guys who seemed willing to help. It took a week to receive a quote, which was 4X more than we were told verbally. We called to get clarification and got the run around, tried to speak to Owner Philip to clear things up and was told by him that he didn't have time, and he wasn't interested in doing our project! This after 3 weeks of talking to them and having them make us feel like they were excited about our project. These guys might be good if you don't question them at all and accept their BS. The lack of professionalism they exhibited was disgusting and repulsive, I've never been treated like that since the last time I tried to buy a car, yes, that's the feel they give!
