Hollywood Beach you shall catch me! Back in my younger years South Beach (Miami) was the place to be. With age it's taken me to head more North! It's been possibly about 17 plus years that my go to beach is Hollywood Beach! For one .. parking was much easier. Several parking garages and hotels that let guest park in their garages. The prices range but some garages are about 4-5 hours for $20. Along with enjoying the day at the beach! The broadwalk has shops, restaurants (all types of food) , bars and clean public restrooms. Oh there's also a kiddy splash pads that kids can play around, tennis court area. The crowd varies but I've never had any problems. Just mind your own business. You can enjoy Hollywood Beach day or night! Sunrise to sunset!

Family friendly, the boardwalk is nice and filled with restaurants. The beach is calm you get Florida without the crowd of South Beach. Grab a chair, blanket or umbrella and relax. I spent 5hrs out there and i enjoyed every second. It's peaceful and I enjoy that they have lifeguards on duty.

    Perfect weather for Memorial Day

Living in Miami, we are spoiled with many beaches to visit. I love coming to Hollywood Beach and passing the boardwalk for a bit to get to the beach that always has fewer people and the best clear water. It was Memorial Day. We didn't stop by Margaritaville because it was way too packed. The parking is very close to the beach, which is nice when you're bringing all your beach gear. I love that there are lifeguard stations all over the beach. The vibe here really is great, but then again, is there anything to complain about when you're at the beach? Nope. Great weather & great seas made this a fabulous beach day

We love walking on the Hollywood Beach and its Broadwalk. This cute, relaxing and very clean beach has enchanted visitors since the 1920s. The Hollywood Beach Broadwalk stretches nearly two and a half miles along the Atlantic Ocean providing visitors with beautiful and expansive views of the water. This brick-paved thoroughfare is a magnet for joggers, bicyclists, roller-bladers and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants where anyone can just take a break and enjoy people-watching. Two Broadwalk parks attract kids of all ages to play paddleball at the historic Garfield Street courts or cool off in the whimsical dolphin play fountain. The Clean Beaches Council, a national coastal group in Washington DC, has given this beach, the title of "Most Innovative Beach" and this beach is among the first in Florida to be designated Blue Wave Beaches, a distinction that places them among the nations cleanest, safest and most user-friendly beaches. I love that many of the beach landmarks have the name of the streets that meet the Broadwalk, so you can easily find your way around. There is plenty of street parking as well as garage parking just steps from the beach, making reaching this area a breeze !

This BIG slice of pure heaven on earth, never disappoints!!! Hollywood Beach is amazingly picturesque with a boardwalk that stretches for miles that is sure to satisfy any of your minds ideas of relaxation. You could literally stroll your day and worries away! At any given time, people are playing racquetball, rollerblading, riding their bikes, jogging or running at Hollywood Beach. This beach is also packed with several restaurants, bars and hotels which again adds to my love of this beach during the day or the evening. For all couples and families, I must say its a love love love and enjoy!

Wow what a find! Over 2 miles of "boardwalk" with restaurants, public bathrooms and parking all around! There's lots of fitness stuff scattered throughout and it's a really chill beach. The sandy area is enormous! There's palm trees you can hammock between and there are rental shades and longe chairs available too daily. Enjoying the sun and getting some reps in too!

The Hollywood Boardwalk is our favorite for biking, skating, eating, or just bringing a cooler to the beach for the day. Pretty much every type of food and drink you can imagine. We only live here in Hollywood part time. So, when we're here we try to spend as much time on Hollywood Beach as poss6.

Excellent fine light colored sand here. The beach isn't too deep, and not a lot of seaweed in October, though water was rough. There are lifeguard stations throughout. Lots of parking options at or around Margiritaville. Everyone treats everyone respectfully here. Many shops, bars, restaurants are along the Broadwalk.

Awesome place to visit. Great people watching, fun vibe. The beach is great but the boardwalk is what makes it unique to the area.

Keating Beach Park is off the beaten path at the far north end of the Hollywood Boardwalk. This park was named in honor of former Hollywood Mayor David Keating. He served as a City Commissioner and Mayor from 1961 to 1986. In 1963 he took a walk on this stretch of beach and it cemented in his mind that it should remain public. For the next two decades he led the fight to save this strip of beach from Sheridan Street to the Hollywood-Dania Beach line from Hollywood Inc., a development company that claimed they owned it, not the city. On September 4, 1981, the Fourth District Court of Appeal sided with the city and decided that the 1.5 mile of beach belonged to the city. Anyone who uses the beach here today has David Keating to thank. Today Keating Beach Park is under construction. It looks like there is structural damage to the pavilion and it is fenced off. There is no parking in this area either. The restrooms are closed and the slide is gone. Still the beach remains a glorious wide strip on sundrenched sand. This area is frequented more by locals than tourists. Here is to hopping that Hollywood gets the repairs done and opens this area back up soon.

The sand is so soft and clean, with not a single bit of seaweed. This was so surprising, as just a few miles away there was a substantial amount of seaweed. There were palm trees that offered a perfect amount of shade if you prefer to lie and read your book or take a nap on the beach. Be sure to layer on the sunscreen, I used an SPF 60, and still walked away a bit flushed. The water was very comfortable and clean. I took a swim a few times, and this is in April. Why can't every beach be like Keating Beach? But wait... there was a lady who came and was yelling profanities, I thought she was on her phone, but she was actually just venting loudly to herself. She had all eyes on her, there was no stopping her. I suppose that's one way to exercise your freedom of speech! Keating Beach is as perfect as they come. Hopefully you won't encounter the minor interruption like I did.

The water & shoreline has continued to uphold its beauty. I love coming here when I'm feeling the itch to get out by the water. The biggest change (for the worse) is there's now a parking fee. I preferred back when it was free but since I haven't been in a while I'm not sure how long it's been like this. The fee isn't terrible, which is somewhat a positive at least. The parking lot itself is massive so I've never had an issue finding a spot even on busy days. I noticed there's a lot more trash cans along the beach, which was great to see. There's some picnic tables, a fishing pier, multiple showers to rinse off at & plenty of space to lounge. There's a smaller public restroom which is definitely a smart new addition (since I'd last been). The scattered trees provide some shade but don't expect to find much else unless you're by the pier/restaurant. As far as this coast goes, I really enjoy coming to Dania compared to others. Most of the time I can take a short walk in either direction & find myself relatively alone which is my favorite thing to do outdoors. P.S. Utilize those trash cans! Pick up after YOURSELF & OTHERS. Whatever you bring with you, take it back. Just because you didn't bring the trash doesn't mean you can't pick it up. Let's work together to keep our beaches clean.
