This was my first time visiting Hollywood Beach. It wasn't part of the original plan, but after attending another event nearby, we decided to stop by and relax for a while. We were fortunate to find metered street parking just steps away from the beach, making access very convenient. This boardwalk is long and you can find yourself on any part of the beach. The boardwalk had a lively atmosphere with people rollerblading, riding electric bikes, and even pedaling those fun four wheel family bikes. It created a really enjoyable and energetic vibe. When we made our way onto the beach, it wasn't crowded at all, so finding a comfortable spot to sit was easy. We even took a swim in the ocean. The water felt cool when we first stepped in, but after a few minutes our bodies adjusted, and it became a very refreshing and enjoyable swim. There was a lifeguard on duty until around 6:30 PM, which added an extra sense of comfort and safety. Across the street, there was a restaurant and bar where visitors could grab drinks, food, or snacks and bring them back to enjoy by the beach. Overall, we had a wonderful time at Hollywood Beach. The relaxed atmosphere, beautiful shoreline, and lively boardwalk made for a memorable visit, and I would definitely return. read more

For the record, I was one of those Miamians. I thought you needed a passport to go to anywhere in Broward. That meant like going to Broward a once a year thing :) A very good friend introduced me, or rather reacquainted me, with how nice the beach and boardwalk here is. For the record, I like the fact that there's a seems to be a lot more parking than in Miami Beach, a mix of city and private garages. The cafes whether good old Senor Frogs or nicer places like Broadwalk Italian, as well as dive bars even in the older little hotels are literally steps from the water. The beach itself doesn't close as early as Miami Beach which means it's also a nice spot to enjoy the Full Moon, and the waves are perfect for swimming. You can also see the cruise ships sailing out of nearby Port Everglades. read more

Hollywood Beach you shall catch me! Back in my younger years South Beach (Miami) was the place to be. With age it's taken me to head more North! It's been possibly about 17 plus years that my go to beach is Hollywood Beach! For one .. parking was much easier. Several parking garages and hotels that let guest park in their garages. The prices range but some garages are about 4-5 hours for $20. Along with enjoying the day at the beach! The broadwalk has shops, restaurants (all types of food) , bars and clean public restrooms. Oh there's also a kiddy splash pads that kids can play around, tennis court area. The crowd varies but I've never had any problems. Just mind your own business. Family friendly, the boardwalk is nice and filled with restaurants. The beach is calm you get Florida without the crowd of South Beach. Grab a chair, blanket or umbrella and relax. I spent 5hrs out there and i enjoyed every second. It's peaceful and I enjoy that they have lifeguards on duty. read more

I love coming to Hollywood Beach and passing the boardwalk for a bit to get to the beach that always has fewer people and the best clear water. It was Memorial Day. We didn't stop by Margaritaville because it was way too packed. The parking is very close to the beach, which is nice when you're bringing all your beach gear. I love that there are lifeguard stations all over the beach. The vibe here really is great, but then again, is there anything to complain about when you're at the beach? Nope. We love walking on the Hollywood Beach and its Broadwalk. This cute, relaxing and very clean beach has enchanted visitors since the 1920s. The Hollywood Beach Broadwalk stretches nearly two and a half miles along the Atlantic Ocean providing visitors with beautiful and expansive views of the water. This brick-paved thoroughfare is a magnet for joggers, bicyclists, roller-bladers and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants where anyone can just take a break and enjoy people-watching. Two Broadwalk parks attract kids of all ages to play paddleball at the historic Garfield Street courts or cool off in the whimsical dolphin play fountain. Hollywood Beach is amazingly picturesque with a boardwalk that stretches for miles that is sure to satisfy any of your minds ideas of relaxation. You could literally stroll your day and worries away! At any given time, people are playing racquetball, rollerblading, riding their bikes, jogging or running at Hollywood Beach. This beach is also packed with several restaurants, bars and hotels which again adds to my love of this beach during the day or the evening. If you get tired of one place, simply walk a few blocks north or a few blocks south and find something completely different, yet just as entertaining. Fine dining is also available just across the street on the Intracoastal at places like Billy stone crab, G's Place, Taverna Opa, and a couple of others. Bike rentals are available if you're not a local. And water sports such as jet ski and parasailing are also available nearby. Only downside, no dogs allowed. This is most definitely not a Hollywood thing. It's just a broadwalk thing. That's the ONLY reason I don't give it 5 stars. Other than that, enjoy! read more

Wow what a find! Over 2 miles of "boardwalk" with restaurants, public bathrooms and parking all around! There's lots of fitness stuff scattered throughout and it's a really chill beach. After walking Hollywood beach one night and then Ft. Lauderdale the next, I prefer the laid back vibe of Hollywood beach any day. This 1.5 or so miles down and back walk with shops, hotels, wave spots, and restaurants, is so much fun and it was so easygoing and quiet that it was highly enjoyable on a slow sunset evening. Parking was easy enough for me as I parked at the North end in the park (paid $6) and walked down and back before they close the gates promptly at 7pm. There are lots of entrances to the beach, plenty of seating, and tons of beach fun to be had as you walk along. read more

Excellent fine light colored sand here. The beach isn't too deep, and not a lot of seaweed in October, though water was rough. There are lifeguard stations throughout. Lots of parking options at or around Margiritaville. Everyone treats everyone respectfully here. Many shops, bars, restaurants are along the Broadwalk. read more
