I was leaving Margaritaville, and decided to stop at the park, so that my husband can finish his cigar. It's really nice and you can sit by the water and just chill out. Many ppl were standing on the deck fishing, and talking. Some others were making videos, and said they were content creators. It's been raining off and on, but I did enjoy 30 minutes at the park. Came here for a birthday party, but wished I lived a little closer. I liked that there was parking in a lot and not a parking garage. There was plenty of parking at 12pm on the Saturday when I went, but it was a little bit of a chilly day. The beach area was beautiful and they had some picnic tables and BBQ's by the mangroves. There are lifeguard stands and plenty of sand to find a comfortable spot. There is also the broadwalk, in which people were walking, roller-blading, and riding their bikes. I had to pay $10 to park, which would be for the whole day or even just an hour. The only thing I think that could have been improved is the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Beach bathrooms are never that sparkling clean, but these were smelly and looked like they haven't been looked over all day. So all in all, a great place to enjoy the beach if you can stand the smelly bathroom. read more

The North Hollywood Beach is a beautiful beach in Hollywood Florida. It is a nice sized beach with over 60 acres of land, and over one mile of beach access. The water is super clean. It was 72 degrees the day I arrived. There was no one here, except some morning runners. The Floridians think 72 degrees is freezing, I think it's pretty comfortable, not for swimming, but for being outside. I am staying just a short walk from this beach, so a car isn't necessary for me. However, parking isn't free. It is $10 a day, $20 for holiday parking. While walking around, be cautious not to step on these plastic bottle looking, Portuguese man o' war siphonophores. They have stingers that can really hurt. There was a substantial amount of these on the shore. Aside from the Portuguese man o' war, this is a beautiful beach, that's best for a walk or a run. I'm not sure how you would lay your towel down with hundreds of these stingers around. read more

Hollywood North Beach Park is a 56 acre beachfront park acquired by Broward County in 1988 . The park is located at A1A and Sheridan Street and has access to 1.1 miles of beaches along the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Intracoastal Waterway on the other. Fees to enter the park are all day, $10 per vehicle; after 2 p.m. $6 per vehicle; and premium parking $20 per vehicle. distinguishes this park, which also offers historic Carpenter House to rent for small private events. Park amenities include fishing piers, ADA accessible raised boardwalk to the beach, an exercise path, a 60 foot tower, the Turtle Cafe, and sea turtle exhibits at the historic Carpenter House which can be rented for private events. There are several picnic areas with grills. This is a really nice beach park as far as they go in Broward. I like being able to pay a flat rate and not have to feed the meter but I wouldn't come here unless it was late in the afternoon or I was planning on staying all day. If I had the choice I would always pick a gulf Florida west coast beach over the Atlantic east coast. The water and beaches are so much nicer and they offer all of these amenities. Most towns on the west coast do not charge for beach parking. Since I am usually going to the beach locally this is a pretty good one and the Hollywood boardwalk is nearby. read more

Love Hollywood beach but only the secluded areas away from the sounds of people chattering and people crowded like a can of sardines. I love the sound of the ocean and the waves breaking and just the peacefulness of the quiet sound of the ocean so relaxing so soothing almost makes me feel like one with the Earth and indeed I am earthing , grounding so they say. This is one of the sounds of solfeggio.. At this time of the day the beautiful pinks in the sky come out and what a beauty it is to behold . Parking here is 4.00 and hour and no where is a bathroom nearby but at least during the day there are life guards to keep a watchful eye on you .I came here to chill and gather my thoughts .Always nice when you have beautiful sound and fresh air and wind caressing your face and body . This was my choice for parking while exploring the Broadwalk bc I wanted to make sure my car was somewhere I could easily find it. I paid $6 for parking and was informed that the gate closed promptly at 7pm. I had two hours to walk the Broadwalk and enjoy which was more than enough time on a lazy Monday afternoon. This park is clean and tidy with some picnic areas and nice, clean bathrooms available for use. Plenty of beachfront to hang out and a nice trail for walking and biking that connects to the Broadwalk so you can enjoy some people watching or grab something to eat from one of the many restaurants or hotels that line the Broadwalk. I arrived back about 15 minutes before closing and there was a staff member in a truck driving around informing everyone the gate was closing at 7pm so be sure to take that seriously! read more

This was our first time here today and we really enjoyed the place. Only $10 admission and the woman checking us in at the gate was super friendly and informative; you are even allowed to leave the park and come back in on the same day. Lots of parking spots, and we chose one near a set of rest/change rooms that were very clean. The beach is only a few minutes walk from the parking lot. It wasn't too busy, and it's a super long beach, so we easily social distanced. The water was a bit rough but bearable. The water temp in early November was perfect There was no foot or body showers near the rest/change rooms so we brushed off before leaving in the car. On our way out, we noticed a concessions place that we will have to check out on our next visit. read more

This park is the perfect place to enjoy easy access to both Hollywood beach/broadwalk and dania beach- situated just at the north end of the broadwalk path. Take Sheridan st all the way east and you will arrive here. It is 10$ to park all day until sunset ($6 if arriving after 2pm) which is much cheaper than the street or parking garage options along Hollywood beach- $3-$5/hour generally. This park offers an ample amount of grills and shaded areas with picnic tables- I will often grill here with friends (charcoal camping type grills; must bring your own everything) with the beach only a few steps away. Hollywood beach and the broadwalk offer more action, live music, and people watching- while dania beach is much more relaxed and has more empty space. They have bathrooms and water fountains at the park and used to have a restaurant/bar named Zack's snack shack which was my go to for barbecue in the area- they really were the best before they closed the location. The building is still there so hoping Zack' will return or something of equal caliber replaces them in the very near future. Great local park and highly recommend if you are hitting the beach in this area! read more

Hollywood North Beach Park is the most East point of Sheridan Rd. This paid area sits right between the boardwalk and Hollywood Beach. I came here on a Saturday with family to spend some quality time. As for entrance fees, it is $10 to enter and park for the whole day or $6 if you come after 2pm. There are many tables under shaded trees and even barbeque grills! This spot is ideal for big parties or outdoor picnics. Everyone in South Florida seems to be taking advantage of the good weather before it gets unbearably hot in the summer. I was able to park in the front so I'm not quite sure how big the area extends but it was a short walk from the parking lot to the picnic tables. All you have to do to get to the beach is cross the boardwalk and you're already on the sand! Tip: you can bring your bike or skates to take onto the boardwalk or even rent some bikes there. Hollywood Beach is probably my favorite one in South Florida and this park solidifies it's spot at number 1! read more

Came here with the fam for a much needed outdoor relaxing day. You pay to get in and social distancing is strictly enforced. They even close the entrance once they've reached new capacity limits. We walked (with masks) to the sand until we reached our post up spot. Set up our little canopy and begun our fun in the sun. It's important to still respect people's space but also to clean up after yourselves especially when it comes to plastic. No styrofoam coolers allowed period. We brought our own trash bags to empty out at the end of the day at the proper trash containers so we wouldn't have to constantly walk back and forth. This season seems even hotter than usual so dont forget the sunblock and all UV protectants. Alcohol is allowed but only in cans and there is a refreshment stand selling food and cold drinks as well. Enjoy the water, play in the sand, munch and drink, and most of all enjoy! read more

I've been in Florida for a little over a month now, and I have officially found my favorite beach in South Florida (probably until I visit Key West, but until then)! I made an early morning drive to Hollywood and parked in a garage. There are multiple public parking garages along Ocean Drive. It's not cheap! I pulled into the garage at 8:57am and left around noon = $16.00. There could be different rates and it may be cheaper if you can find street parking. When I first parked, the third floor wasn't full yet. When I came back, there were very few parking spots available. A short walk to the boardwalk, not bad at all. I entered a kind of dull spot on the boardwalk, but once I started walking, it just got better from there! Edy's, Subway, seafood, beach shops, bars, you name it, it's there right on the boardwalk. There are two lanes, the larger one is for walking traffic and the smaller one closer to the ocean is for bikes. I also saw skaters on the smaller lane as well. About every half mile is a public restroom. Don't expect them to be super clean as the toilet seats and floors will most likely be wet and sprinkled with sand. The cleanest public restroom that I found on the boardwalk was the one closest the Margaritaville. As you walk, you'll notice that there may be some buildings that need some work most likely due to Hurricane Irma. But all still beautiful and family-friendly! In fact, the environment at this beach reminds me of Virginia Beach. Lots of shops, things for kids and adults to do, and a beautiful, clean beach. read more

Recently attended a walk on the Hollywood Broadwalk for the epilepsy foundation. Our meeting point was here at the Hollywood North Beach Park. The park is quaint and has picnic tables and basic grills. It has direct access to the Hollywood Broadwalk, which is a bit north of all the action if you want a quieter spot on the beach. You can also opt to visit the west side of the park, which is along the intercoastal as well. Parking does cost so be aware of that but it's much easier to find a place to park here than it is to drive up and down the side streets along the beach. read more

I'd driven by North Hollywood Beach a couple of items, and caught sight of the wooden observation tower (guessing a WWII remnant) but hadn't stopped by until today when I wanted swim time while avoiding the bugs in Miami. For $8 parking, besides the chance to up your cardio on said tower, you get a peaceful secluded beach where you can relax and tan without much buildings to cast shadows, a walking trail between the parking lot and water and soft, clean sand. There's also a grassy area right next to the parking lot where some families were having picnics. The beach itself is a quieter vibe than the beach further south near the new hotel. The sound of the waves is conducive to a nice nap, and if it were open past 7:30 it would be great to catch the moonrise. Besides the early closing time, I'm taking off a star because I couldn't find any showers or foot baths. read more

$6 gets you a parking spot and access to the beach. I arrived midday around 3pm and it was rather dead, maybe because it's the Monday after a holiday weekend and 103 degrees outside! But I'm from colder climates and I needed to see the ocean! The beach was nice enough and not crowded at all. However there was sooo much seaweed! There was probably a good 2 feet of seaweed on the beach and the ocean was full of it as well. But I sucked it up and went in also. I'm not sure if it's always this dead, I doubt it but it was a nice relaxing afternoon at the beach for me. Note the concession area was not opened during my visit but restrooms were. Great little place to put your toes in the water, and something else in the sand. Also a lovely place to take a romantic walk, or go for a morning jog. I stumbled onto this part of Hollywood beach serendipitously. I was running from Dania to Hollywood, and we stopped here for a quick break. There is a large deck area with bubblers and potties. The actual beach area is very calm and laid back as compared to the chaotic Hollywood or Ft Lauderdale beaches. We were using the running trail, which is also in very nice condition. Tucked back into the tree areas are some picnic tables and grilling areas. It seems like this would be a great place to go for an afternoon bbq, then maybe take your beau on a nice stroll up and down the running/biking path. If you are looking for all of the hooplah associated with the more touristy portions of the beach, you have a couple options. You can park down by Margaritaville and take in those shops that way, or it is just a short walk down the path to the busy areas. Sometimes it is nice to enjoy a quiet beach without the shops, and that is exactly what this location is. The one note I will make is that when you are out here around sunrise, there will be patrons of the homeless variety sleeping all over the place. While this isn't too much of a concern for me, if your general safety is something you are worried about, I would wait until the sun is up, or just avoid them. They have never bothered us, but its one of those things to be aware of. sooo....if a super chill beach to relax and enjoy beachy things without the strictly commercial aspect of Hollywood is what your soul seeks, this is definitely your jam. Decent beach within a short walk to numerous restaurants,cafes, and shops. I would suggest hitting up Zach's Snack Shack for some well priced snacks and eats. They also do their own BBQ - try the Pulled Park French Fries, great food for only $5.99. Hollywood Beach was probably the cleanest beach that we experienced while in Florida. The weather wasn't the greatest so we didn't stay all day but it was still a nice day of ocean time. One of the prettiest beaches in Hollywood. You can get there by driving East on Sheridan Street and when it ends at A1A there is North Beach. Upon entering by car you would pay to park.The important part is the dedicated parking as further south in Hollywood, parking gets more scarce. On the parking lot side you have many trees as well as barbeques set up all ready for your picnic and outing at the beach. If you want to go swimming in the ocean you would cross over the broadwalk and have your choice of where to lay out,get sun or maybe take a nap. Personally I usually go here by bicycle. It is very scenic lots of trees and people very tranquil and relaxing park. Weekends can get packed with everyone picnicking but it is still never loud or out of hand. read more

Hollywood North Beach Park is sandwiched in between two other beaches but it is much more peaceful than the others. I didn't have a problem finding parking and for December it was rather empty. Maybe everyone was Christmas shopping but I was happy to find an hour to walk the beach and escape the hustle and bustle. The water was beautiful and the sand was free of litter. The restrooms are in good condition and are cleaner than Dania and Hollywood beach. I can see myself coming back here often for a walk or just to relax. This is a South Florida treasure. If you are looking to get away from it all then this is the best beach in the area. read more

This is my go to spot for parking when I visit the Hollywood Boardwalk for a few hours. Parking is about $10 for the whole day and right now the lot is only open until 6 or 7 PM. I believe the summer hours might have been longer, so I suggest calling to verify with the park. I haven't used them, but the park has various picnic areas in the shade with what appears to be charcoal grills. If you wanted to hang out at the beach for the day, this would be a good place to park. There is also a bathroom nearby. This lot is probably about a 1 mile walk away from all of the "action" (restaurants and bars) on the Boardwalk. read more

This is a fantastic park for picnics, exercise, photos or just relaxing. As photographers, we frequently use this location for portrait photos. There are charcoal grills, picnic tables and beautiful greenery, and of course the beach. The huge walkway in front of the beach of Hollywood is gorgeous and big enough to bike ride, skateboard, walk or run. During busy times, it can get tricky to avoid the groups of people, but it sure is a beautiful view. There are a lot of restaurants along the walkway to check out as well. read more

I didn't feel comfortable passing through there alone. The wooden observation tower had some beautiful views of the beach, just wish it was open past 6 pm to be able to catch the sunset. read more
