We asked for a service for regular polish and another nail tech told the other nail tech to put gel on my daughter's feet why I wasn't looking. I mentioned it and it became a big fuss. Jason who I believe owns the salon discounted and charged the correct price for regular. Despite the minor 10-15 difference give people what they asked for. I may go back there in desperation. It's sad but customer service is undeniably leaving the hearts of businesses. I got a pedicure and manicure and tipped well but noticed a few things: 1) the treatment was different for different customers. Some were offered a bottle of water some were not. I wasn't until I looked at another customer being offered a bottle of water. 2) my feet were rushed and even with that I tipped well and wasn't even told "Thank you". I won't go back. I've been to this location multiple times and have enjoyed my experiences. I appreciate the attentiveness, quality and professionalism. My only preference is a place that's clean and working with someone who takes pride in their craft. I am not overly particular about my nails so I don't have a "go to" person. In 2 days, I had my thumb and pointer fingernail chip and by day 4 my other pointer chipped. :( I didn't do gel polish, but for the price of the mani I was expecting it to last at least 5 days. Came here bc it's close to my job. Staff is friendly for the most part. The lady who did my pedi wasn't very social at all. She barely said two words to me. But I guess it's ok if you're one of those who like to be left alone during your services. Lol They have a menu with diff pedi services. I opted for the basic classic pedi, which was $29. Lot more pricier here then where I'm from in florida which go for about as low as $19-$30. Upon checking out tho I didn't like how when I went to the counter and pay they completely ignored me when a lady who works there was literally sitting three feet away from didn't acknowledge me or say to someone I was ready to checkout. I have been here about 4 - 5 times. There have been good experiences and there have been bad. My last two have been bad. I would give them 2.5 stars if possible. My last appointment with "Amber" was horrible. Seems to me that she did not want to be there and that was reflected in her work. My toenails are jagged and her nail polish job was abysmal. Will definitely NEVER book with her again. The pedicure took only 30 minutes. That tells you how much effort she put into her work. I have never had a pedicure take less than an hour. The foot and leg massage was as if someone was gliding a face cloth gently over your leg (no effort whatsoever). Prior to this experience, I had another tech refuse to put polish on my toenails (but she did a great job with the rest of the service). Not sure if I will be back. First of let me say I am more than picky about my nails, I like them short and most people have a hard time doing my nails without getting nail polish everywhere or misshaping my nails. I asked her to reshape my nails to square-oval because my last manicure had me with oval round nails...she fixed this perfectly and left me with perfectly square-oval nails just how I like them...super short. I work with my hands and can't have long nails because it would get in my way. I chose a color changing gel polish that is dark purple when cold and pink when warm, the same polish she had on. I came on a Thursday and got a pedicure and manicure for my friends wedding I was in that coming weekend - wish I remembered my lady's name but she was wearing a "coffee and chaos" shirt on. She wasn't super talkative but polite when talked to - but most importantly she was phenomenal at the pedicure AND manicure. I got regular polish for the toes. Her massage of the foot was fantastic! Worst pedicure ever. Seriously. I've had a lot of them too. I sprang for for the deluxe pedicure because I wanted the hot stone massage -this isn't included in the basic express pedi. No hot stones. No massage at all. And the painting of my nails? Horrific. Layers upon layers of polish. Correction after correction. I think there must be nail polish remover running through my blood. I had to point it out to the technician and tell her to redo one nail that was particularly bad. She was taking so long I just didn't have time to ask her to fix them all. I complained when I paid. I was then only charged for the basic, so that's good. But my pedicure looks terrible. I'll have to redo the polish myself. My review is limited to the only services I receive, which is a manicure with REGULAR polish. After only one year, Polish only Gel made my nails so thin that my natural nails were tearing off to the point of bleeding. The salon was not at fault, but when they refused to acknowledge that it was the gels, I looked elsewhere. After waiting for my nails to grow back (weak and thin), I started looking to another salon. I quickly learned that few techs remember how to do a basic manicure with regular old OPI polish. Three salons later (I've reviewed only one because it was really bad), I finally found Anna at Hollywood nails. Perfect, exacting manicure and, miraculously, the polish stays on for 2 weeks. She's not a big talker, but I'm okay with that. Bonus points for setting up my kindle for me so I can read during the LONG drying time required of this kind of polish. This place is always busy with many regulars. That makes me believe that they are equally good at other nail services. read more

I recently came to Hollywood nail spa for a full set for a wedding I was attending. They looked great but we're a little too thick for my liking. I went back for a fill 2 weeks later and had the same nail tech, Lindsay, and told her I would like them thinner. She did a great job and they are much thinner this time and even more natural looking them the last. My only negative is my right thumb is slightly uneven, my cuticle was pushed back at an angle so the nail looks slightly crooked. I'll mention it in 2 weeks and I'm sure it will be fixed. This nail salon is right by my house and I've never had an issue getting a same day appointment. All of the nail techs that I've gotten take their time to make sure everything is to your liking. I don't get anything fancy done, just gel manicure and pedicure, but I've never had any bad experiences here which is more than I can say about a lot of nail salons! Basic pedicure. Slow service. Not thrilled with pedicure. Not realistic with wait time. The girl next to me started after me and finished before me.. and she had to soak her gel polish off. I ended up cutting my pedicure short since I've been here almost 2 hours already. Will only come here as a last resort as this was not an enjoyable experience and I absolutely detest being at the nail salon all day long. My nail tech, while nice was inexperienced and honestly nails isn't his thing and it showed. I expressed my feedback professionally and it was basically not received and met with excuses. I also asked for a discounted service since my service took so long and was not completed appropriately and I was told instantly "we don't do that." Not a problem, I don't mind paying for what I asked for however, I will not be back as a pedicure shouldn't take this long and I don't give my money to anyone that doesn't appreciate me as a customer or offer skilled, good professional, timely services. One star for the carelessness, lack of appreciation for my time, and lack of skills. Also one star for not hearing out your customers and instead making excuses for the service you offered. I love coming here when I'm in town. Best place to get your nails done...hands down! I love the products they use and the staff is very helpful and sweet. The establishment is very clean and peaceful. I typically do a dipping powder. They use a brand called Kiara Sky, which is amazing. I prefer that to SNS. Any color I choose turns out amazing. And you can't go wrong with any of the ladies there. They all take their time and make sure you love your nails before you leave. The prices are beyond fair. I typically pay between $50-$60 for dip. At this location it cost $40 but they are running a promotion for the dipping powder for $35! If you pay with cash you can save more on your services. If I lived here this would definitely be my go to appointment.
