This is the worst nail shop in Aurora. The owner is rude and heavy handed. Pedicures are so uncomfortable. His wife is rude and always suggesting a tip. I've been going here for the past 28 years because of the owners employees only. The minute I praised his employees and not him, he started treating me like crap and fired his employees. He gives beyond to cut me clipping my nails and painted them horrible. If you're African or Hispanic, do not go here as he is very racist. I stopped by for a pedi and the girl who usually does nails took it upon herself to do my pedicure and she did a poor job. She finish pretty quickly and I tipped her well prior to realizing that she did a poor job. After I left I later discovered that one of my heels was still rough as if she did not attend to it at all. There was also roughness in other areas of my foot as well. I have came to this salon several times and this was the first time this particular person has ever gave me a pedicure. You're better off letting a two year old give you a pedicure. This is easily the WORSE experience ever! This has to be the roughest and most unrelaxing pedicure I've ever had. Went in & had a no chip done. The polish must have been old bc all my nails were streaky. He also kept putting a top coat on without dipping the brush back in. The tips of my nails were chipping the next day. I am on day 4 & my nails are all peeling. I look like I haven't had them done in 4+ weeks. My hair was getting stuck on day 2 of having them done- usually that's the indication to get them done but not after day 2. Terrible job. If i could give no stars I would. This place was awful... 1) it's dirty and has clutter everywhere!! 2) the guy had no clue how to wax. I think it was his first time or something. He put burning hot wax on my face in so many different directions then ripped it off, not against the hair growth pattern, telling me the hair wouldn't come out and he couldn't do it. I came to Hollywood Nails Salon on Sunday evening to get a pedicure. Arrived around 4 wasn't that crowded was able to get "seated" right away. The man I didn't catch his name did a good job. I then went against everything I stand for lol and decided to get my eyebrows waxed. See this was my first time at this place so why not give them a chance. I was looking for a quick pedicure before a wedding and, like the reviewer that led me here, stumbled upon this place. $30 for a deluxe pedi with a scrub and paraffin treatment is a pretty good deal, so I thought why not. I wasn't in a terrible hurry, but I didn't think that it would take almost an hour and a half for a pedi. They did a great job on the bottom of my feet, and the sea salt scrub/paraffin was awesome. They use an actual razor on the bottom of your feet, which I prefer to the buffing. The woman too great care to smooth out the rough spots. The polishing wasn't that great though. It chipped almost immediately, even though I waited until it dried to leave the business. The people were polite, but didn't appear to speak much English, so there was very little conversation. Overall, I would probably return if I needed another pedicure and am out this way. The experience was pretty decent, aside from the polish debacle. read more

If I could I probably wouldn't give them any stars. First off 3 different people did my nails no one spoke to me cared to engage in any conversation with me or anything. My nails were rushed and paint job was sloppy and when I complained the lady who polished them had a attitude because the man which I believe is the owner told her to fix it she wanted him to do it. She was so pissed that she had to fix my nails that she didn't talk to me the entire time and while my nails was drying in the no chip dryer she turned her back to me. That was extremely rude! Once I was done and paid my money no one said thank you to me or bye or anything. They were so rude and made me feel like they didn't want my service from the time I walked in. I will never come here again. My experience was very disappointing. I had something as simple as a gel manicure and the lady who worked on me named Nelly did a poor job. How do you mess up a gel manicure? She filed my nails in different shapes and lengths. I pointed it out to her while I was there for her to fix them and she failed to do so. Went in to get my nails filled; and the man doing it was so inexperienced it was obvious. He literally ripped half my nail off, to which I was bleeding. I did receive and apology so I got over it. They offered to do my eye brows then, which I assumed would be free for ruining my nail. Instead of having me laid-back and in a proper chair, they had me sitting in an office chair on wheels. The man who is doing my eyebrows literally took off all the hair, leaving me with extremely thin eyebrows with no shape when I once had nice thick arched eyebrows. I obviously was angry and said I would not be paying for this the man went off and started talking about me in whatever language they speak. He came back and told me that if I didn't pay they will be calling the police. I was very angry so I paid and left. I will never be going back there again read more

This salon used to be my absolute favorite place to get my nails done until a horrid comment ruined it... The woman doing my eyebrows (I believe she was the owners wife) patted my stomach and proceeded with "Are you pregnant?" I politely answered with "no" and she didn't stop there, sadly. The prices still looked reasonable so I decided since I drove all the way there already I would just stay and give it a try. It was a very nice little place. Cute and quiet. I did like that they seemed very clean. The quality was good and my nails look great. I was a little offset they would not let me use the coupon but still got a pretty good deal. and the only other thing I do not like is that when i was done they rushed me a bit out of the door and i wanted to sit at the dryer more. i understand they were busy but I am a paying customer as well. read more

I asked why and they said the color was $10. I've had nails for years and have never had to pay extra for color. You're going to get nails put on with no color?
