I'd seriously consider flying out to Denver just to get my monthly pedi. On today's winter's eve in the midst of the snow, we entered Hollywood Salon, a tiny island oasis. No, really. They have palm trees and palapas hanging over your massage chairs. You'd think it would be tacky, but trust me ladies, it's absolutely adorable. The ladies who run this shop have got to be the sweetest people on Earth. Very engaging and I found it awesome that they knew *every* client that walked in by name, even this young boy that was no older than nine-years-old. Cutie pie. What I loved even more about my pedi? There was no rush. I know some salons want - or think you want - to get in and out the door, but it was relaxing to take the time and rejuvenate. Take your time, let that hot water soak up your tiny toes ... flip through almost two magazines... and walk out with a smile on your face knowing it only cost 25 bucks. 4.5. I have very very long naturally curly hair that is very difficult and very sensitive. Jo is amazing!!!! My hair felt so lovely, soft and healthy. I love how sweet she was and she knew what she was talkin about. Prices are very comparable and the do a great job on my boys too. $10 for boys n men!!!!! $15 for ladies? I love it!!!! read more

LOVE this salon! It is very laid back and low key, and every person I have there is very friendly. Sylvia does my hair - she only works a few days a week, but is worth the wait if needed. I have very thick, curly hair, and she gives me one of the best cuts I have ever gotten. I have gotten several pedicures from Mindy as well - she does such a wonderful job. The ladies at this shop are phenomenal. I trust any of them to cut my hair. Usually I am very particular but I have not had one bad haircut from this place. Never knew this place existed but SO IMPRESSED with the way I was approached by one woman in particular while I was driving home from work Friday night....she was driving a little black SUV with a "HOLLYWOOD SALON" logo on the door...I was singing along to Despacito at a red light when all of a sudden I look over and this lady yells out her window to me "hi you're beautiful!!!!!!!" I yelled back thank you!! Then we drove along side one another just for a moment and as I turned off she said "Girl Power!!" I showed up as the last customer on a Friday evening and that may have not been the best time to come. I arrived for a pedicure and because I hadn't stated when I called that I wanted to get the nice warm wax bags on my feet they had turned the wax machine off. Not a biggie - just something to remember when making an appointment for the future. The salon is small - a few chairs for hair and nails. In the back are 4 pedicure chairs as well as a tanning area further back. The pedicure area is fit with fake palm trees and a very colorful beach theme. The chair was extremely hard, but maybe that's because I did not have the massage feature turned on. Either way - it was uncomfortable for the duration of my pedicure. The pedicure turned out okay - even though it wasn't one of the ladies that did it. But that is just personal preference. My pedicure was also full of a lot of chit chat - which personally, I prefer not to chit chat. I also prefer not to see my collection of dead foot skin after each foot either. But again - personal preference. Hollywood salon is a good bet if you're in the neighborhood and looking for a nearby and very affordable pedicure. read more

The girls at the salon are very sweet and friendly which is great but I went to get acrylic nails and the girls weren't the ones doing my nails. They didn't come out well at all. I had acrylic all over my fingers and several nails were crooked. I know I can be picky which is why I wanted to try a different salon. It wouldn't be a do-over for me, sorry. read more

Lived in the area for 2 years and never even noticed it was there, if it weren't for yelp I would have never found it! I Went in close to closing time to get a pedi on a Friday night and they still spent almost an hour on my feet. They take their time which really gives you the chance to relax. They are all super friendly and did an amazing job. Def recommend this place, bummed I didn't find it sooner! Reasonably priced, especially considering the amazing service, $25 for a pedicure. read more

came for a simple pedicure - had to come back to get it fixed. the polish completely bubbled, and even though they offered to do a polish change at no charge to fix the bubbling, it took a LONG time and it still bubbled again. grrr... on the upside, staff was friendly and i was able to make an appointment with short notice. i probably could have just walked in and not have to wait very long. also, tools and washtubs are very clean and sanitized. on the downside, i suspect the polishes are heavily diluted and that's why they bubble. too bad! i'd love to support this local business and really want to be a fan because they're so nice and friendly. maybe in time the quality of their supplies will improve. here's hoping! read more

Both my husband and son have had their hair cut by Jo for the last year. She is amazing! My husband didn't like waiting for a haircut at Sportsclips, and he hated the inconsistency in his cuts; This salon takes appointments! Jo takes her time and because of that, he's never ended up with a goofy haircut. My son, who is 2 years old, was so fearful after a few haircuts at the kids cut place at the Orchard mall, but Jo has a way of putting him at ease; the entire experience is so pleasant. The best part of all, is that men and kids are $10. Please consider giving your business to this salon, you won't be sorry. read more

The day before I was leaving for my honeymoon, I stopped in to get a fill. The guy that helped me was very nice but these are the worst nails I have ever gotten... He didn't sand the old nails down much before he put the new ones on so now they are super thick nails. They also have bubbles all over and are chipping in 1.5 weeks...My husband usually loves the softness of my nails, but now he refuses to even touch them... The guy did ALOT of talking which caused him to stop every time. I like talking but it took so long for the nails to get done. He sprayed on the white tips but they were not straight. I asked him to fix it and he just made the tips thicker to fix them so they don't look natural now.... When he was finished he sat me at the nail dryer and started on his next appointment. That's fine but he didn't come to check on me for 10 minutes or anyone else.... I had to finally ask someone to come help me... Basically... Nottttttt happy.... Will not be going back EVER... I've gotten my nails done for over 2 years with the same guy, but after moving to CO its been hard for me to find someone... read more
