I purchased the early bird ticket and well, it seems like everyone purchased that one. I attended the show to meet three people and i was able to meet them but it seemed like they were the only ones who weren't there during the early bird portion (it was mostly the senior actors that were there early). But it was fine, I walked around for awhile but there really isn't much to see - only handful of booths and vendors - nothing that really caught my interest. I would have liked a small sitting area for guests who would like to sit and wait, but it's fine since I wasn't there long. I was in and out of the event after 2 hours which is fairly decent since there's little to no wait on the guests that don't have a massive fan base. Also I bumped into Christopher Lloyd while leaving the restroom which was a nice surprise Overall, I would probably do this event again depending on who's attending the show (and probably do a discount ticket) and it could be a little more organized like have signs outside for the line (that was a little confusing), but it was very nice that parking was free since it said it was going to be around $14 - which also confused me since I wasn't sure I was parking in the correct lot. But it all worked out in the end. Also I recommend bringing lots of cash, I was able to pay for a signing thru PayPal (they were having issues with their card system & couldn't figure it out) but I think it'd be a better idea to bring some cash so you don't have to worry about if they're going to accept card payments. Overall a decent little event and it's nice to meet and see some actors you've seen in movies and TV shows. read more

The Hollywood Show has always been fun for me. I try to make at least one a year. There is almost always a celebrity I would love to meet and get an autograph from. Prices for autographs vary by each celebrity. I've noticed that most charge $20 or more per autograph. On top of that, they charge extra for a picture with the celebrity. There is also an entry fee into the show. It does get expensive to visit these shows, so budget wisely. read more

I've been doing business with Hollywood Show for about eight years. Last year, they had a private signing. It over a year to get it back. When I finally got the signed autograph back, it had an authenticity sticker on the front. This ruins the quality of the photo. Emailed to complain and never got a response. They had a convention today. Afterwards, I went up to the ticket area and wanted to talk with someone with a high pay grade. I was looking for a resigning or a refund. The short story is that the owner couple were both pissed off at me and the husband wanted to pick a fight me. I came very close to private person arrest of the husband. read more

What a surreal experience! Strange to see people who are so familiar to you... you know them, but they don't know you. I had never been to this event before, but a friend of mine told me about it and I saw the tickets for 1/2 price on goldstar.com. I'm not the kind of person who hunts out celebrities, but I do like touristy cheesy fun. I was super excited to enter and start seeing people I recognized. Granted there was no rhyme or reason to the people who attended... Some were new to the TV/movie scene and others were actors from the 60s, 70s, 80s. I was disappointed that in addition to the entrance fee ($30 full price or $15 discounted) the celebrities each charged a photo fee or an autograph fee. But I found that if you bought an autograph, generally they were nice about letting you take a photo with them or of them signing. And I took a few without them looking - shh! It was a little depressing watching a few of them hawk their photos and remind lookey loos like me who they had played in whatever. And while some looked GREAT for their age... others not so much. The great thing about the event was that the day that I went (Sunday), it really wasn't that packed and I could go right up to eveyone and talk to them and shake their hand. They couldn't care less - but it was fun for me lol I saw the cast from Hunter, Lost in Space, a few from Dukes of Hazzard, Josie & the Pussiecats (voice people), Eddie Munster, Loni Anderson, a bunch of playboy models, Vivica A Fox, Pam Grier, Rich Little, Erika Eleniak, Angie Dickenson, the lead from the musical "Flower Drum Song", Geoffrey Lewis, some lady from True Blood, some blue lady from Farscapes, and June Foray (who did the voices for almost countless characters including Rocky Squirrel, Natasha, and the Twilight Zone's Talking Tina - who knew??!) Educational - I learned a lot first hand from the celebs themselves asking questions and looking at the photos they had. My dad LOVED it. It would be a perfect event to bring your out-of-town guests to see famous people. I think they have the event a few times a year. Overall, great opportunity, a fun day, and lots of celebrity memorabilia for sale - including checks and letters - if you're into that sort of thing. read more

As an avid convention attendee, I usually strayed away from this show since it is a show with only a focus on having mostly "older" tv show and movie actors/actresses with very few vendors or themes or any other focus. Of course I have my fair share of favorite movies and shows, as well as those performing in them, before the 1970s, but many a time I just never had a desire to meet the guests. This time around, I was excited to meet William Shatner and Olivia D'Abo. The show is 3 days but technically just 2 days. Friday is a "preview" night which, once you go in on Saturday, would find the "preview absolutely pointless. The entire convention is in one banquet room of the hotel with a few tables in the hallway. That one banquet room has 10% vendors selling, quite frankly, junk, and the rest of the tables are for the actors - none of which are there on Friday. Anyway, according to the website and to mine and many other guests' understanding, tickets are only to be purchased online. Come to find out when picking up tickets, you can purchase tickets at the same table and the line for pre-orders is just as long and slow as the line for those buying tickets the day of. Once the show opens, it's not quite a mad dash but the area is so small, the small amount of people already make it feel packed and overcrowded. I can't imagine this is the first time this show has been so busy and it's quite ridiculous how packed it gets. Another issue with the crowds is the line management. Lines are constantly blocking guest tables preventing them from being seen by attendees. For basically a one day show, $25 is absolutely ridiculous of an entrance cost. Plus the website said validated tickets would get $12 parking, well parking came to almost $15. No mention whatsoever at the will call tables or website. Sure it's a few bucks but why not give the full details? Unless there really is a guest(s) you want to see that does not normally attend a big time convention, I don't recommend this event. read more

**UPDATE: My original review was written in 2014, and based on what I'd experienced a long time ago. I did visit the Hollywood Show again awhile back (2017), when they were still out at the LAX airport hotel. Here are my impressions - and I'm not criticizing, only relaying my thoughts, as my original review was harsher. - There were a couple hundred people there on Saturday, at most. There were a few lines, and not long ones, for a few celebrities who had never done a show in Los Angeles before. I waited in a couple of those lines and didn't mind doing so. The rest of the celebrities had no traffic. Most didn't even have one person in front of their table at any given time. Or if there was one, you just had to wait a few minutes and then go see them. While that aspect of it is nice, it doesn't make it easier for the celebrities...who are mostly there to make money, but aren't making any money due to the lack of fan traffic. - As mentioned in my other review, most of the celebrities still charge a lot more money than they deserve to. C and D-list actors (ones who haven't worked in 30 years or more) often want 30-40 bucks per signature or to buy one of their 8x10 signed glossies. NO THANKS... I don't imagine that the owners can tell them to drop their prices, but it's no doubt due to the fact that they get so few customers and if they don't charge those high prices, they won't walk away with much money for that show. I purchased about $160 worth of autographs that day - I paid $30 each to two of the bigger celebrities, $20 to 2-3 of the C/D-list actors (acceptable), and another $30-35 each to another two C/D-list actors (unacceptable). Some of these were bought for a friend who couldn't attend the show. All in all, I didn't walk away pissed about the amount of money paid but I was taken aback by those few who really overcharged. - There were a lot of celebrities wandering around the hotel lobby and adjacent areas. I won't mention names out of respect to them, but they were basically just milling around with their agents/family members who came with them to the show, or outside the back door talking on their cel phones. Why weren't they behind their tables? Because there wasn't any traffic for them. Sad. The ones who were behind their tables mostly looked either bored or downright pissed off. - At least 20 celebrity tables were empty at any given time, with no "I'll be right back!" notices or anything. Literally, they left all their photos and stuff unattended and just weren't around. As I recall, the show doesn't provide name signs for their tables, so you pretty well have to walk around looking for the celebrity you want to buy from. - Very expensive parking even with discount, for a "blah" LAX hotel. - The front desk staff of the show were nice enough, but I know some people have had problems with them. Thankfully they were cool with me. - All in all, this show has not shaped up to be any better than the one they bought out in 2008 that was held in Burbank (and North Hollywood before that.) The trend of that old show was "Super busy Saturday, slower on Sunday." Now, it's "Moderately busy Saturday, and a ghost town on Sunday because 30-40% of celebrities don't come back on Sunday." - The dealers were also not happy. One dealer in particular, who has been coming for many, many years (and to the previously-owned show too) had almost no customers. He always has like 7-8 tables full of great stuff but he definitely wasn't moving much inventory that day. At least, not like he used to in the old days of the show. The rest of the dealers had mediocre inventory and were not making any sales either, waiting for people to come along and actually buy something. My autograph collecting days are almost over now so I don't imagine myself going back again. On rare occasion, I'll ask a friend who goes to the huge comicons and stuff to get stuff signed for me. Those 'huge' shows ARE the ones where the A/B-list celebrities are, and unfortunately, their prices are sky high. I see another Al (user name Al H., no relation!) wrote a review recently in February 2020 and I must say, his comments are pretty spot-on from the perspective of a fan who regularly attends much bigger and better-attended conventions. He is right when he says the reunions they do are never for current shows. They're for old TV shows and films. There have been so many "Lost In Space" and "The Sound of Music" reunions over the years - not just at this show but MANY other conventions - that we've all lost count. But it appears that getting new, and younger, celebrities to attend The Hollywood Show isn't possible. It's too bad, but of course, it's obvious as to why they don't want to come - they're not gonna sit behind a table for 200 fans, only maybe 20 of whom will buy an autograph over 2 days. And they don't want to sit next to an 85 year old whose career is long over. read more

I have been coming to this Hollywood show for 2 years. I love meeting all the celebrities. Some are super nice...others seem like your bothering them.The autograph prices were usually around $25, but now it's becoming for most, around 40 bucks...some even higher. Some charge $10 or more just for a cell pic. I have always enjoyed this show. I do wonder why though, the midwest and East coast shows bring in a lot more of the 'bigger stars'. Dave, today the Hotel parking attendant would not let us enter the parking garage to look for a spot to park. This is the first time that's ever happened. The hotel parking attendant said it was open for hotel guests only. He let in 2 cars then told us the lots full...Dave please fix, if possible. read more

David Elkouby is very unprofessional. He not only gets mad when he gets caught cancelling an order and not refunding the money on orders but he also plays favoritism for people who do place orders on his website. If he has had a problem with you then don't ever think you are going to get your order because he will refuse to put your order in on a cheap pic only to force you to have to pay a higher price for another pic of the same actor on the website. It's not a first come first serve basis on that site what so ever! My friends and I have had several problems with that as well as David! David should be road out on a hand car and replaced for someone who actually cares about the fans of the show and getting signed pics of their idols. David ONLY cares about lining his own pockets for his own good. read more

I've been going to this show for quite some time. I think it changed hands a few years back but it's a fabulous event! I'm so surprised more people don't attend...even though it is pretty crowed at times. I take my 2 little boys to get photos with the celebrities so they can say, "I met so in so, here's the picture of us." My only complaint is most of the aisles are tight and hard to get through when crowded. Other than that, I LOVE this show!! If you have time to go, GO! You'll find it very fascinating! read more

My daughter and I came to see Barbara Eden--which was thrilling but the show is NOT ORGANIZED!! Every activity took much longer than stated. We basically spent the whole day standing in line. I bought the tickets online thinking we could get In quickly but the will call line was just as long as the line for those who didn't have tickets. I also prepaid $50 for a photo with Barbara Eden (online) but had to wait another 20 minutes in the same line as those who had not prepaid. The photos were supposed to start at 3:00 but didn't start until almost 4:00. We are still at the hotel waiting for our picture (2 hours after it was taken). They have only one photographer, one printer, and one computer for all the pictures taken the entire day!! For such an expensive event, (we spent over $400), I expect that an investment on at least one more computer would not have broken the bank!!! It seems like every photo/ autograph is at least $50 so be prepared to spend a lot. There was also an award event scheduled with Barbara Eden and others which was cancelled because the room was double booked!! Unless there is a celebrity you are dying to see, I wouldn't go to this event. read more

If i could give it 10 stars I would. The show is really cares about the Fans. I have gone to a few of their shows and am looking forward to the next one! They always have a celebrity that I have always wanted to meet, and there is nothing more thrilling then to tell someone you grew up watching. someone you idolized how much they mean to you IN PERSON! :) No where can you get so up close and personal with celebrities! I am a huge Monkees fan and one of the celebrities i really wanted to meet was Davy Jones. The hollywood show gave me the opportunity to meet Davy and get an autograph as well as a photo with him.... 3 weeks before he died!! :( (it still breaks my heart to think he is gone) I cherish that memory as one of the top 10 ten moments of my life. As a huge movie buff since childhood, The Hollywood Show has allowed me to finally speak in person to many men and women involved in the movie industry to express my gratitude to them on how much I enjoyed their work on the screen and how they either inspired me to pursue acting or how they affected my life positively! The first show I attended was back in November, 2012 here in Las Vegas. I had the opportunity to meet Diane Franklin (The Last American Virgin/Better Off Dead), Eddie Mekka (Laverne & Shirley), Sybil Danning (Amazon Women On The Moon), the absolutely gorgeous Morgan Fairchild, comic Rip Taylor, and a few more notables that others may just say "Who? I've never heard of them..." but these people are amongst many many wonderful faces that I grew up watching on the small and big screen! In 2014, I finally got to attend the Los Angeles Hollywood Show in July for my birthday weekend, and what a weekend it was! Meeting the cast of Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory was truly the icing on my cake, especially when it came to meeting Denise Nickerson (Violet Beauregarde) who was my very first crush! I was so happy to meet Denise as I had originally bought an autographed photo from her back in 2001 when she used to have her own AOL website. 13 years later, I finally got to appear in front of her to tell her all about myself and how she was my first crush. She was so happy to meet me that she allowed me to take photos with her for FREE! What a treat! The most recent show I attended was the April, 2015 show where I had the pleasure of meeting Kristy McNichol and Dinah Manoff from Empty Nest (I even brought a nice framed publicity photo of the late Richard Mulligan for us to pose with!), Alisan Porter (Curly Sue and the 2016 winner of The Voice!), Cloris Leachman and Teri Garr from Young Frankenstein, Barbara Feldon and Bernie Kopell from Get Smart, and even Malcolm McDowell from A Clockwork Orange! This show continues to get better and better with each new scheduled event they have! More and more celebrities from my youth that I have an opportunity to pose with, shake their hands, give them a hug, and just tell them "Thank you for these good times and amazing memories!" I am hoping to attend the next one this July, 2016 as it's going to be the first public appearance of Tim Curry from Rocky Horror Picture Show along with an 80s favorite of mine, Alan Thicke! The only criticism I have over this event is that the room they have everyone gathered in can get extremely hot and you tend to find yourself sweating easily, especially when waiting to meet someone. One saving grace they do have is a couple of water coolers in the outside photo area which is complimentary and very cold so you do have a chance to replenish and cool down if you need to! My recommendations if you attend this show on a budget like myself. Try to save about $500. Go through the entire list of celebrities that are attending the show and figure at the very highest, about $30.00 per autograph, and $20.00 per photograph taken. Pick out your top 20 celebrities that you'd really REALLY like to meet and figure out if you'd really like to get an autograph, or just a photograph. What I have done in more recent events like these is just take a photograph with a celebrity. Autographs are great but in the end, I really have to look at it as a piece of photograph paper that someone wrote on, and it doesn't really thrill me as much as it used to, especially if I paid over $30-$50 for it. I feel like I can get more of a thrill/memory from a photograph I can take with somebody and that's usually the more affordable route to take. Once you have arrived at the actual Hollywood Show, walk around to those 20 celebrities you wanted to meet and take down the ACTUAL prices of what they are asking for autographs/photographs. Again, if you're on a budget like me, you're probably bringing no more than $500.00 spending cash with you to the show. Figure out the amounts of what you're really interested in, and if you can make all 20 work, perfect, otherwise, try to whittle it down to your ABSOLUTELY-MUST-HAVE Top 10 list of celebrities and hopefully that will be just enough to cover what amount of money your brought with you and maybe have some extra left over. Also, if you're like me and you're able to go during a time when someone you previously met before is there, have that little extra cash on you to get what you didn't get the last time you saw them. For instance, when I went to the April, 2015 show, I took two lovely photos with Lesley-Ann Warren but didn't ask for any autographs. She's appearing again at the July, 2016 show so if I go, I may get an autographed photo this time around! It's all about the memories you cherish from the past and it's all here at The Hollywood Show! Here's to many more! When I moved here several years ago, I immediately jumped into the con scene- something I was part back East. I've been to Mosterpalooza, Son of Monsterpalooza, LA Comic Con, WonderCon, etc....but had never heard of The Hollywood Show, so, I was surprised when a friend told me about it. Apparently the owner had moved it to the LAX area for 7 or 8 years and was moving it back to Burbank where, I was told, the original owners had it and it was very successful. During our talk I mentioned a new costume I could wear, but was told it wasn't that kind of Con- there were no panels, no costumes, no display/museum areas, no after parties, etc...essentially, it was only celebrities and vendors and it only took place during the day. I was surprised to say the least, but, being adventurous and a Con lover, I went and, to be fair as I always do with attending a given Con for the first time, I didn't read any reviews about it online- I wanted my experience to be fresh with no per-conceived ideas. My budget for autographs, photo-ops, and merchandise was already set and wouldn't be changed. My experience from my arrival to my leaving fully explained why this wasn't a "Con" or an "Expo" but a "Show". I found free street parking on the side of the convention center which was great; there is plenty of free parking for blocks around. There wasn't much of a line to get in and that was, sadly, where the good times ended. The staff for buying an admission was very cold and rude. They didn't care about answering questions or being helpful- they just wanted my money and then, move on. The convention center itself was very nice, however, this is a "show" of celebrities who are known for things they did over 20-30 years ago: I'm not talking about the main cast of Star Trek or other shows that have millions of fans, books, movies, tv shows, comics, merchandise, etc...; these are stars who time has forgotten and you'd never have given them a second thought if you didn't come here and/or were told by other attendees about "Reunions" when less than 50% of an entire main and/or supporting cast is there: The Banana Splits, Leave it to Beaver, The Beast Master, Good Times, Battlestar Galactica, etc... Most of the celebrities were just sitting throughout the day playing on their phones, reading, talking to whomever they brought with them, signing autographs for the fans that may have gone up to them, or, as many of them did, just looked at fans passing by as if they were in a kennel hoping to be adopted. The few celebrities that were there whose autographs meant something to me I've had for a long time since they've been on the Con circuit for years and, quite frankly, who needs more than one. The few I spoke with were nice but indicated they were disappointed with the turnout compared to what they were told by the promoter it would be like. I found out talking to some of the vendors, the few that were there, as well as a few of the celebrities, that the promoter, Dave, brings in a lot of the same people at least every other show and rarely ever brings in a "Big Name". From what I was told, he had William Shatner a few years ago, as well as Richard Dean Anderson, but they took up all of the money and there wasn't much, if anything, left for the other celebrities or vendors. I was also told that attendance over the years has declined to the level I saw it at today- maybe 300 attendees for 80+ celebrities and vendors at the peak on Saturday. I was also told that many followers and supporters of the show stopped coming because of the way Dave and his wife treated them and while, to the best of my knowledge, I never met the Dave (the promoter) or his wife, the unfriendly attitude of the staff supported the comments I heard about what Dave and his wife must be like. I left after 2 hours as I saw everything/everyone in that amount of time. I'm looking forward to Mosterpalooza in a few months, as well as LA ComicCon and Son of Mosterpalooza later this year. Although I was told The Hollywood Show is done 3 or 4 times a year, it's not worth the time or money to attend this "show" when there are REAL Cons and Expos in the area- save your money for those. read more

Absolutely avoid their by-mail service and especially their private signings. I've made the mistake of using their services twice, where they claim they'll have the celebrity sign and personalize a photo for you if you cannot attend the show. Despite paying for a photo and personalization, in my first case, I received the photo unpersonalized, and not on the photo I had selected, and more than six months late at that. Recently, I made the mistake of giving them $89 for their Dick Van Dyke private signing for a personalized signed photo. When I received a photo with only a signature, I inquired about what had happened and was ignored repeatedly. When I asked other questions about upcoming shows, I wasn't even given complete sentences as responses. Their customer service is completely unprofessional and I feel nothing but ripped off. read more

Overall, a great way to meet your favorite stars of yesteryear. HOWEVER -- AVOID paying for the 'one-on-one' photo ops vs paying the celebs handler directly. Here's my experience (and the experience of about 50 other fans): I paid $40 to have my photo taken with a celeb, then almost missed the chance because of their lousy pa system. I had to hunt down the owner who then had to sweet-talk the celeb to do another photo - awkward. HERE's the kicker - they waited until closing to start printing the photos, and they had to send me the picture - after I emailed them, twice. It took a few weeks to finally receive my picture. And you don't get to have the jpeg for posting elsewhere (I scanned and reposted). It was far better to just pay the celeb handler directly (and cheaper - $25), and then you pose however you want and they appreciate the attention. And, you have the file in your camera. I'm giving a low rating strictly because of the service from the staff members. Where do I start on how bad Denise is? She helps to runs the talent for the Hollywood Show. WOW, what terrible service she provides. I tried to ask her a question about which celebrities had cancelled and she started yelling at me about why I wanted to know. I've been to the show numerous times and have seen her yell at other collectors when they ask her simple questions. I've also seen Esther (owner's wife) scream at people who also ask simple easy questions. It's too bad because I know Dave tries to have a good show for people, but with these two...whew...they give him a bad name. read more

I have been coming to these shows for 15 years and I still enjoy them Although there were some 'bumps in the road' this time I would still go next time. I don't know why folks complain about paying for autographs or the admission ....hey guys they need to make money to keep these going. this year there seem to be a lot less venders and cool stuff to buy, hopefully they will sort that out for next time. read more

As a rule the room is filled up with 'has been' actors who are still clinging to the idea of being a celebrity. Dave who owns/runs the show is only interested in the 'take' and cares little about his customers. I do believe I am done as the latest show July 8, 2017 was a nightmare. Richard Dreyfuss showed up for the show... nearly 2 hours late and demanded ridiculous prices for what literally was a man butchering his own signature. He laughed off his scribbling and the fact that he was literally damaging memorabilia. You would venture a guess that he was on meds or 'something'. Complaints was the norm as people walked away from his 'table'. read more

I'm so glad that I went to this event although I'll probably never go again. It was much too overpriced but again it was nice to socialize with the celebrities. However David needs to work on responding to his emails politely. I asked him questions and he replied bluntly like "I don't know" or "why don't you ask them?" It would have been nice if he was a little more helpful. A great experience overall. I'm giving 3 stars for the bad customer service and for the overpricing. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! You are probably fine attending The Hollywood Show in person. On their website (http://www.thehollywoodshow.com) the business offers an Autographing Service for folks who cannot attend in person. Using this service you can either purchase signed photos or send in your own photos to be signed. If you plan on sending your photos in to be signed by the autograph services....be warned, this is a VERY risky thing to do! I have sent in several photos to be signed at Hollywood Show events I was unable to attend in person utilizing the websites autograph services. Here are some of the problems I have encountered: 1) They are too busy to get everyone's signature for you. Some guests only stay and sign for a limited time, and they may or may not get to them with your items. You will, however, stand a fair chance at getting the unsigned items refunded. 2) They send part of your photos back, and tell you they still need to get ones they missed, so they hang on to some of them to get them signed at a later event. The Hollywood Show owner has informed me he "knows the celebrities managers" and leaves the photos with them to be signed after the event. Bottom line: there is a lack of control in who has your photos and who is witnessing them being signed. Have you noticed that you will not get a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) from them when you get your photos back? 3) They don't adequately let the ink dry before placing your autographs together or in protective sleeves. If the celebrities sign in a fast dry ink, you might be OK...but just know that I have had numerous photos returned in which the ink from the signature was smeared and lifted onto either the protective sleeve or another photo in front of it. Bottom line: they are not going to take the same care of your items as you would to ensure customer satisfaction. In July, 2013 I placed a Hollywood Show Store New Order to obtain 11 autographs from 6 celebrity guests attending the July 12-14, 2013 event at the LAX Westin Hotel in Los Angeles. The total cost for the service was $268.00, which included additional amounts as all of the autographs I requested were to be obtained on my own photos that I sent to them. Those were delivered to the Hollywood Show, c/o Autograph Services via USPS Priority Mail before the required deadline. Shipping and handling fees assessed were $15.05 for return shipping on the 11 items I sent in, so the total transaction cost was $283.05 for the services and was paid via Paypal. After the July 12-14, 2013 Hollywood Show event concluded, I received a partial refund of $62.00 USD for autographs that were not obtained from celebrity "no shows". At least they were decent about that. However, it gets worse. I sent an email to The Hollywood Show informing them that I had received all 11 on my photos back from his Hollywood Show Autograph Services. As indicated in the refund, 3 of the photos were unsigned. 2 of the 8 signed photos were OK, but 6 were signed in silver and all were smeared with most of the ink having dried onto the back of the photo in front of it or the protective sleeve it was returned in. The 6 ruined autographs cost me $142.00 for sub standard services. I unfortunately missed the 45 day deadline to dispute the charge via Paypal. Several emails were exchanged, and the only way a refund was going to come my way is if I capitulated to the Hollywood Show owners terms. He wanted me to return MY photos so he could try to sell them and recapture some of his loss. Unbelievable!!! If doing business with ethical people is important to you, this is not the place! I went through considerable effort to get the photos in the first place, so I will keep them in hopes of someday actually getting to meet these celebrities in person at an event I can attend, and asking if they will fix them for me. To this day....still no refund. Guess I should have noticed that there is no customer satisfaction guarantee or customer reviews links on their website. Now I understand why. Hope this saves others some trouble. read more

The Hollywood Show is truly spectacular!!! I have not missed one of their shows since 1999. When you stay at the Hotel for 2 days you get a discounted rate, and FREE Early Bird entry for all 3 days. Friday night is a great time to check out the vendors setting up selling all types of great memorabilia, and to chat with friends. On Saturday & Sunday you will have an AWESOME time meeting so many Celebrities from Television & Film from many genres from the past & present. I have met thousands of famous people due to this wonderful show. MY ORIGINAL REVIEW WAS DELETED SOMEHOW. AVOID THE HOLLYWOOD SHOW!!! Although I've lived in Los Angeles my entire life and love going to Comic Cons and autograph shows, this was my first AND LAST HOLLYWOOD SHOW!!! I'll start by saying that I've attended over 700 comic-cons and conventions around the world over years, that this (again) was my first Hollywood Show, and this is by far THE WORST OF THE WORST! With this show it's all about the promoter making as much money as he can with no regard for the fan experience at all. During the show I became "friendly" with 2 of the staff members who told me some "behind the scenes" things they probably weren't supposed to- I'll note those as well. When you arrive they have rude and condescending women/girls selling tickets. I found out later that THE RUDEST OF THEM ALL IS THE OWNERS WIFE!!! She has a attitude that would make a priest swear. I found out during the weekend that numerous vendors and many regular attendees stopped going to the show because of her; this was obvious on Sunday when many vendors weren't there again and more than a few celebs didn't return even though they were suppose to. It doesn't surprise me because of the experience I had with her regarding a professional photo-op. Upon arrival I paid for the admission as well as a photo op with the cast of T.J. Hooker. According to the website when I checked it a week before the show 4 members of the cast were supposed to be there on Sunday: William Shatner, Adrian Zmed, Richard Herd, and James Darren. On Sunday 2 of them (Adrian and James) were "no shows"; so, I asked for my money back since I didn't want to pay for a "cast picture" with only 2 people there. Esther (I found out her name) is the owners wife and SHE REFUSED TO GIVE ME A REFUND!! She said that celebrities often cancel, that they knew about James Darren a few weeks ago, and I'd have to take a photo-op of equal or lesser value, but that I couldn't get me money back. I explained there was no other celebrity or group that I wanted my picture taken with and I wanted my money back. SHE THEN THREATENED TO HAVE ME REMOVED BY THE SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT!!! When she realized that I wasn't leaving and wasn't intimidated by her, she reluctantly gave me my money back. Something else: While I'm waiting in line to get an autograph, a short guy with a huge stack of things to get signed goes to the front of the line. He doesn't wait and stands there with a list and reads off of a sheet what needs to be signed on each and he's also pulling pictures off of the table. THIS IS WHILE OTHERS HAVE BEEN WAITING IN LINE! I found out from 1 of my female confidants later that he works for the owner and the owner has made his show a FAN PAID PRIVATE SIGNING!!! He requires that each celebrity sign 10-30 things for him for free and that he also gets extra autographs for only $10 each so he can: 1) Have an "order by mail" service and charge people full price and, 2) Supply the store he owns in Hollywood! So, fans pay to get in and are ready to pay for autographs while the owner (who, like most promoters who have shows in hotels, probably gets the convention space for free by guaranteeing the hotel that a certain number of hotel rooms will be filled) is using his show as a front to get free and discounted autographs for resale. So, there we are waiting so the owner can get his "freebees". THIS IS THE ONLY SHOW I'VE EVER BEEN TO- DOMESTICALLY OR ABROAD- WHERE THE PROMOTERS SOLE PURPOSE IS TO STOCK HIS STORE AND MAKE MONEY OFF OF MAIL ORDERS!!! After getting the autographs I wanted, I was lucky enough to find some vendors and celebrities that, after speaking with them very friendly and casually, would talk to me about this show, the promoter, his rude wife, and what they thought. The celebrities who had managers with them wouldn't say anything negative and neither would their managers (I think the celebs would have if the managers hadn't been there). Most of them refused to come out directly and say anything "bad" but a few of the celebrities said this was the only show they did where they weren't given lunch or a food per diem and where they were required to not only give more than 10 autographs, but also were required to sell autographs at a discounted price. A few of the less known celebrities even told me that if they had another show offer, they would have taken it because this show is really a bad deal for them. I asked one "why" and was told that out-of-town shows will fly you in, put you up at a hotel, give you a per diem for food or feed you, provide ground transportation, and the most you'll give a promoter is 20 autographs- NOT THIS SHOW!!! I was told they're on their own for food, they must give autographs AND sell them at a discount to the promoter; since most of them live in the area, the promoter doesn't spend on airfare, hotel, transportation, etc... DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR: STAY AWAY FROM THE HOLLYWOOD SHOW!! read more
