I ask newbie questions and they answer them respectfully, never making me feel bad and their recommendations have always been spot on. Victoria helped me purchase some heated gloves and even helped me install it on my motorcycle, even though it was so easy I could have figured it out myself. 10/10 can't wait to make more money so I can go spend it at Cycle Gear.

My wife brought her BMW 750GS in for what she thought would be a routine annual service and ended up with a $763 bill that included work that appeared unnecessary, including spark plug replacement. What really frustrates me is that less than three months and fewer than 1,000 miles later, the chain is heavily rusted. Chain inspection and maintenance were listed on the invoice, yet the condition of the chain makes me question whether that work was actually performed. Expensive service is one thing. Paying premium prices and then having doubts about the quality of the work is another. I won't be returning as Dwain rudely suggested at the time..

The bike shop is under an auto shop/state inspection garage (you can get your state inspection sticker added to service appt) on the corner of Washington & Warburton. About as easy as the Manhattan-Brooklyn ride with little traffic and a much nicer ride along the river. John was responsive on email and got me estimates within a day. Got new tires, fork seals, oil and brake fluid, chain and sprockets. Asked about major bearing clean/lube (headstock, swingarm, hubs) but John put the bike up and reported no play, noise or stiction. On the other hand although my tires had some tread left he caught some early warnings of dry rot. State inspection sticker was added on. Rates are fair, parts and tires shipped overnight and he stuck to the schedule and estimate. CC payment easy through a link in the estimate email. Seems to know Triumphs well, saw Japanese and Euro bikes in the shop. Happy with the service and quality of work at CycleLove.

Small shop that's big on communication and transparency. John is a super chill mechanic who is responsive, honest and efficient. Slip on and regular maintenance job was done right for a fair price and no pretense. Phil diagnosed, repaired and tuned the bike to perfection. I have since been back many times with other vintage bikes for tuning, tires, etc. Phil has been in the business for many years and the place is packed with vintage bikes and parts dating back 60-70 years. If you have an old bike and live in CT, Maciag Motors is an excellent resource.
