I trusted the reviews and I'm glad I did - James is exactly the kind of guy I want to do business with. We set a date and time (a 2-hour window), he confirmed the day prior, and arrived on time. Very easy going, efficient, and surprisingly low prices. We talked about the screens I needed replaced, why they bent when I tried to remove them, and how he would solve the problem with his new screens. And then he did. And that sliding screen door I had removed because I got so frustrated trying to adjust it? He reinstalled and adjusted it in no time at no cost. Finally, I asked him to look at another screen that was still in place and undamaged, but I couldn't seem to remove. He agreed it was a poor job and that he'd have to damage it to remove it. I told him to go ahead and replace it, but he instead managed to remove it and replace the springs farther from the corner - and it worked! And he didn't charge for that either. Taking care of the customer is clearly his top priority. James is a sole proprietor, which means you will always get the full "James experience." Give him a call. You'll be glad you did. read more

James Holmes was recommended by a screen door company in Ventura who said he's been in the window screen business forever; so I called James. He arrived promptly the next morning to estimate cost of replacing all my window screens. I asked for quotes for replacing the screen on the sliding door in the living room; and also for both front and rear swinging screen doors. The price he quoted me for the swinging doors, including installation, was about the same price that the Ventura company quoted just for the doors - excluding the additional several hundred dollar installation charge per door! Within about 90 minutes or so he'd replaced all my window screens at a very reasonable price. I was so impressed with his performance that I ordered two new swinging screen doors plus a new screen for the slider in the LR. I'm amazed that Jim has no prior raving reviews here, considering how reasonable his prices are, how professional he is and the great job he does. He's the only one I'll ever call again and the only one that I'll recommend to friends. read more
