I made the unfortunate mistake in seeing Dr. Yasson two years ago. Initially, she was able to help with diarrhea that our cat was having due to antibiotics when she recommended slippery elm which cleared it up quickly. After that though I wish I'd known to find someone else. At the time my cat was having a lot of issues with IBD and constipation. We had tried a number of diets and kept having to switch things up because nothing was helping. By the time we started seeing Dr. Yasson we had her on novel protein freeze dried food, which helped her stop vomiting, but the new problem was constipation. We kept having to up the amount of pumpkin purée in her food to try and keep her regular that we were giving her a full tablespoon each meal. I started seeing Dr. Yasson because she advocated for feeding raw and tried three different times to get her help in switching over to raw. She told me initially how to transition by doing half ground turkey cooked with half ground raw but nothing more. I didn't know what to put with it to make it complete with the right amount of nutrition nor how quickly to transition her to being completely raw. I brought it up again and she told me to hold off until we were able to get her teeth cleaned. Fast forward a few months and I made another appointment with Dr. Yasson specifically to get our cat switched over to raw. When that time came and I brought it up her words were, "Let's not fix what isn't broken." How could she not realize how much she needed to be taken off of the freeze dried food? She was having terrible constipation issues. A few months later we had to run her in to the ER to get her unstuck and that's when I knew I needed to find someone else. Unfortunately the damage was done. I found out she was in stage 2 renal disease. The last year and a half has been a nightmare due to her kidney disease and it has been extremely costly. I regret with every fiber of my being that I didn't go to someone else sooner as this window of time was crucial to stave off kidney disease because the freeze dried diet was way too hard on her kidneys. I do not feel that she listened to the severity of her symptoms nor that she cared. I blame both her and myself for not having sought out someone else as soon as it was clear she wasn't going to assist with what our girl needed. read more

I love Dr. Michelle Yasson. You will not meet a nicer, more caring and honest vet with the true intention to heal your pets. I have been in care of Dr. Yasson for some time with my 2 labradors, Mimi and Bowie. Mimi is a 5 year old chocolate girl and Bowie is a black 3 year old boy. Of course bad things happen on Sunday and when your primary trusted doctor (Michelle) was away. So I found this place in New Milford, CT (I live about 15 minutes from this place) called Valley Vet Clinic, that claims they are holistic. But the little I knew... I brought Bowie in for an emergency wound check. He got the wound when he was sneaking under the fence and got stuck and scraped a part of the skin on his back when he pulled out of there. The worst is that I was outside with him but didn't see him do that. At first I thought it was a bite but it didn't quite look like it was. Then my landscaper said he saw him go under the fence. It was about 1.5sq" raw and bloody spot on his back/neck. At the Valley vet, they said because it's a wound of unknown origin they have to give him rabies shot. Which what a stupid idea when his immune system was already compromised by the injury and I should've said no. After scaring the crap out of me I gave in. I asked if they at least had a product that doesn't contain mercury. They said they do, and gave him the shot. Several hours after this, he started limping on the leg he received the vaccine in. A second day he couldn't get up, I immediately called the vet and they said it's normal. But I should have him checked for Lyme disease. I asked if they can send me the information about the vaccine they gave him. They weren't too happy that I asked for that, but emailed me just the name of the product and general info that I also found online. But they said they didn't know the ingredients of the vaccine, that I had to call the manufacturer. So I did. I found out that the vaccine contains mercury of course, but they don't have to list it because it's not an added ingredient, it's used and infused into the vaccine during the manufacturing process. In fact, there are only 2 vaccines on the planet Earth that don't contain mercury and they're on top of that vaccines for humans. Not for animals. Of course they were trying to cover this up with claiming he had Lyme and prescribed antibiotics. Which he didn't have any Lyme disease at all. Third day he was paralyzed, couldn't get up and couldn't empty himself at all. Swelled up in the face and the eye on the same side that he received the shot swelled up and was very watering and dripping. His mouth swelled up and he had a fever. Luckily our primary beloved homeopathic vet Dr. Yasson returned my calls at the last final moment and right on time. She was away at her seminar teaching out of state for a while, but assisted me over the phone - I thank God for her every day. She recommended a homeopathic remedy that would stop this severe deadly reaction to the vaccine, and after the 4th dose, Bowie got up and started walking, and gained his energy back. Third day after giving the remedy he looked great again! So it wasn't the Lyme, it was the rabies vaccine that almost killed my dog. I googled similar reactions to the rabies shot and when the dog starts to get paralyzed like this, the next stop is death. So doctor Yasson saved his life! Now with Mimi, she suffers a lot of allergies and skin issues that have several underplaying problems. Doctor Yasson has been able to heal one problem at a time which has first reflected on Mimi's temperament and energy and also her skin, she became younger is spirit, more playful, happier and calmer dog and her condition has improved a lot. We still have some ways to go but over all, I cannot thank doctor Yasson enough for both of my babies. I recommend her to everyone. She is the best in her field of homeopathy and it really works!! read more

I love Dr Yasson & so have all of my dogs. She is relaxed & easy to work with & has kept my them healthy throughout the years - no allergies or cancer or any disease & they all have lived well into their teens. I have recommended her to two people when their vet had wanted to put their dogs down - both dogs lived for years later after seeing Dr Yasson. She is a little more expensive but you save in the long run as you avoid future health problems and the suffering & angst that goes with them. Also homeopathic meds are cheap. I avoid western medicine for myself so I do the same for my pets as I believe in supporting the immune system - not disabling it by suppressing symptoms. I had been searching for a holistic vet to help me to understand some of the differences in treatment between conventional vets and holistic vets. She didn't just answer my questions. She explained the why behind the answers and it made all the difference in helping me make the best decision for my kitten. What a disaster of a doctor!!!!!! Experience: I called her up to see if she can help my cat who was recently hospitalized and pumped with a lot of medication. Her exhaustive and expensive process is unbelievable. First you have to fill out a form on her site which I did 3 times and her secretary which is a carbon copy of the doctor, never received it. Numerous phone calls just back and forth to no avail. She sent me another patient history form which I filled out and sent back immediately. All over her site it says that don't send more than 10 pages of medical recored. If an animal is couple of years old and has had couple of health issues the medical record is far more than 10 pages. So I had to get special permission to send her all the medical records. Then she asked for all the supplements. So I took a picture of all my cats supplements about 20 bottles (don't ask me why that many!) and sent it to her. She wanted me to carry all the 20 bottles with me to the vet appointment! I live in NYC and don't have a car so I have to take cab or subway wherever I go. Dr. Yasson sees patients in NYC once a month or so. I emailed and said that half of the supplements are from the same website and all together it takes only couple of minutes to pull up the data sheets for the supplements instead of me logging 20 big containers along with my kitty in a carrier and my purse in and out of a cab in the crazy streets of NYC. Her response: "She also said that she understands the difficulty for you to bring such a large amount of bottles with you by cab, but please know that it is not our protocol to research that amount of data. She said while we can do that, it could run into hundreds of dollars of research fees, and that's why we put the burden on our clients as part of our working together as a team." I will keep this email forever!!!!! I was shocked, 100s of dollars in research fee??? are you kidding? are you sending it to the FBI labs? Is this a joke???? Fees: One of the most unreasonable and sneaky fee structures I've ever seen. her initial consult is seemingly only a whopping $324 but there is an unheard of "CLERICAL FEE" of $35 and office fee of $35 and we have not even started on the homeopathic medication or blood work or anything else yet. Clerical fee? never heard of that before. But since I paid the clerical fee, your clerk can look up some data sheet which if you know how to do a google search and have a printer should not take more than 5 minutes. In my experience and opinion doctor Michelle Yasson is 1) Difficult 2) Uncooperative 3) Selfish 4) Greedy which amounts to "untrustworthy" and I can't take my beloved cat to an untrustworthy doctor. My rescue dog has had allergies, scratching, biting, since I got her last March. She has had to live on Bendryl I took her to Dr Yasson and now she's down from 3/4 tsp to less than 1/2 and every day I'm supposed to drop it ever so slightly. So far, no allergies!
