    A bag of pita bread

The freshest pita in town. The pita is so light and fluffy. The best taste. It easily spilts.

This is it: Suite #7. When I first saw it, I thought the place was still under construction.

Ambience: 0 stars. Fresh pita right off the conveyor belt: 8 stars. Let's call it an average of 4. Holy City Bakery sells to the public, retail, for $2.50 for a bag of freshly baked pitas. But they don't advertise -- they mostly sell to local restaurants. So when you get an urge to have the freshest pita you'll ever taste in Tampa, here's how to find it. You know where MOSI is? Okay, head east toward I-75, away from USF. As soon as you pass Einstein Bagels, take your next right into the GasQwick. Now look for the parking lot that leads to The G-Spot (classy motto: "You Found It!"). Now head towards Greek Unique, towards RJ's Wings and Things. Right next to RJ's, see that empty-looking storefront with a 7 on the door? That's it. For all I know, this could be a safe house and the pita bakery could just be a cover. But I've had their pita (they gave me a single fresh pita for free, perhaps as an apology for being so hard to find), and not a single bother was given that day.

The freshest pita bread I've ever had! I purchased it from a Mediterranean store on 56th St.

Really good pita, but you need to buy it at a Mediterranean market in town.

Absolutely recommend. 20/10 no notes!!!…read more Tucked into a plaza, I've seen this spot so many times and finally was able to check it out. The inside is a decent size with tables, cute decor and lots of plants. When I first walked in, I was taken back by how beautiful the pastry display cases were!! I had the hardest time choosing which pastry to get because they all looked like works of art!! Super friendly staff, great service but now to get to the goods: the coffee and pasties. This is a true authentic French bakery, no doubt in my mind. The iced salted caramel latte is the best I have EVER had. I could taste every flavor and it blended with the coffee perfectly. The ham and cheese croissant was so flakey, the perfect ham ratio and just all around fantastic. The pastry I got had raspberry jam and white chocolate ganache (I don't remember the name of it) and it was seriously the best pastry I've ever had. Most pastries can be too sweet, but this was just right. The jam tasted fresh and homemade (probably is!) and the white chocolate ganache gave it just a touch of sweetness. It is a little pricey so be warned: $48 for two coffees and two pastries. Definitely worth a splurge!!

If it was just the bakery, I would give it 5 stars!…read more Very nice location, definitely immediately impressed when you walk in. I ordered the Cuban sandwich $15, a small canoli $3, a small cupcake $3, pineapple muffin $3.95, tres leches $3.95, and a specialty cake big enough for 21 people $45. Bakery items were fairly priced, and were high quality. This bakery knows what they are doing when it comes to this part. Except the tres leche, they don't know what they're doing there. Too dry, needs more of the 3 milks. It's literally supposed to be soaked in that milk concoction. The bakery counter is too tall, so I had to stand on my tippy toes to pay I'm 5' tall. Everyone standing around in no apparent order. There is a ticket system apparently? Once I saw it I grabbed a ticket hoping that would solve the problem. After about 5 minutes I realized they weren't even using it. So other people that were there after me were being taken care of. Then I had to awkwardly make the counter people aware that I needed help. They were very nice though, and prioritized me once they realized. The Cuban sandwich tasted good, but the bread wasn't the best. It was $15 with no sides and it was thin. Yes it's 9", but it's a really narrow 9". I would never order it again. Too expensive, and little value. Kinda mad I spent that much on a little sandwich, but lesson learned! I'm used to a $10 Cuban that is fat and tasty. So yeah, this was a disappointment. Overall I'll be back for the bakery! So many great options, all high quality and nicely put together. Everything else is too expensive and a hard pass.

I ordered a Cuban sandwich from the deli counter. Unfortunately, it was cold in the center, which made me think it had been made ahead of time and reheated instead of fresh. Overall, the ambiance was great, but at $14, I expected a better sandwich.
