Banana bread latte - does not taste like anything resembling bread or banana lol

Glad I finally got to try this place since they have been on my list for a minute. I ordered the polar bear latte and the banana bread latte. Both were just okay. The flavor on the banana bread latte didn't really come through and the feedback my significant other gave for the polar bear latte was "it just takes like espresso and cold foam". I agreed. I do appreciate that the coffee is strong but absolutely no flavors. The barista was not friendly and looked like he didn't want to be so the encounter was a bit awkward and it took a lot of the excitement out of the experience.

The workers could work on their welcoming skills. It's not a big coffee shop and it gets a little busy but there's 3 people in the front working. Nitzi, I think that was her name - took my order and I think she was taken aback when I asked her for her name. I always like to know so I can say thank you afterwards with their name. I ordered and iced coffee with a little coconut syrup but they added coconut milk instead which is fine - It's a very good coffee and I'll be back. Hopefully they have improved on their welcoming skills. Btw- the coffee shop has a beautiful chapel connected to it. Go visit it and give thanks!

Breve Vanilla Latte : 3 of 5 Coffee was rather weak tasting for my liking. Service was fast and the ambiance is probably the most unique out of a coffee shop. I think this is mainly because it's located/connected to a Catholic church. Very rustic and peaceful vibes. The people here are the best part. Very nice and talkative. I even got to help fix the lights Give this place a shot for sure though.

Wonderful coffee shop located along the side of St Paul's Catholic Church. Community vibes with great service. Small menu hitting all the highlights at this local spot Pro Tip: entrance located along side of the building. If you didn't know you could walk right by!!

Most easily Missed Coffee spot in the city , but you can't beat the location, inside a Church dating back to 1876, if you wander around and go through one of the doors inside the cafe, you'll see a beautiful area with amazing stain glass , The staff is so friendly and quick to strike up conversation, and their signature drinks are extremely creative ,They also boast some serious tea creations , A must stop for any coffee house enthusiast!

After seeing this place in so many articles and videos, we had to stop by for ourselves. It's tucked away in the church basement, and such a cute spot to grab a coffee, other beverage, or sit and study or meet someone up in the neighborhood. It's very welcoming and I love that it's run by students. Such a creative way to use the space. The prices are super reasonable. To my understanding, there is only one size. The size was very filling and way cheaper than most other coffee shops. But even if it was pricier, I wouldn't mind paying more for this place. The coffees we tried were great, they also have seasonal specials. Overall, it's a great atmosphere to come enjoy in the heart of Pilsen. I hope to see it continue to thrive!

Service was nice and friendly! My friend and I decided to check this place out after work and tried their Valentines menu. We got Red Velvet and Berries N' Cream. I recommend getting the Berries N' Cream it tastes like a pink starburst and we enjoyed the little cookie on top. Also this is located in the basement of the church. Entrance is by the parking lot.

Good coffee and variety of drinks both hot and cold. Friendly and genuine staff. Great relaxing place to read and contemplate; access an adjoining chapel with wall-to-wall stained glass and illuminated iconography -- no better place to reflect and ponder for a minute or greater while.

Stopped by Holy Grounds in Pilsen this morning and grabbed a Maple Pancake Latte and an Iced Polar Bear Latte--total came to about $8. The Maple Pancake Latte was like a hug in a cup: sweet maple syrup, cozy cinnamon, and a buttery finish that made me feel like I was enjoying breakfast in a log cabin. The Iced Polar Bear Latte was a cool, creamy treat with a nice vanilla kick--perfect for sipping while I people-watched on their outdoor patio. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the vibe inside was warm and inviting. Already planning my next visit to try their other seasonal drinks.

Holy mackerel, this place is ADORABLE! This very quaint and unassuming coffee shop in the basement of the historic St. Paul's in Pilsen has such a cozy atmosphere. There's signs all around with community events that just warmed my heart. Service was very good, and you definitely get a good bang for your buck here. I'll be back!

A fun find in the neighborhood. Solid coffee, friendly service, tables to study in the coffee shop and pews in the small chapel next door.

Located in the basement of the rectory building. Lots of parking & seating are available on days that are not Sunday. Has a great selection of drinks for coffee & non-coffee drinkers. The horchata latte was not as sweet as I hoped it would be. Would go back to try other items on their menu. The service was great and very friendly.

Sometimes when you're stoned you do the weirdest things and crave the weirdest stuff. I was scrolling on DoorDash for what felt like 67 years when I stumbled on Deep Purpl. Their menu literally screamed exactly what my munchies were demanding, so obviously I ordered everything. First up the Acai Bowl 20oz with banana, strawberry, kiwi, granola, organic honey, extra strawberries, and chia seeds. I am telling you this bowl changed me as a human. I had never had an Acai Bowl before and now I'm obsessed. Every fruit was fresher than fresh, the granola was a spiritual experience, and the balance of flavors was ridiculous. Then I got the PB Toast and I'm still asking myself why I hesitated to pay $6.99 for it. GAWD it was amazing. Crispy bread, peanut butter, banana, strawberries, blueberries, honey drizzle. The best $6.99 piece of toast I have ever had in my life. Because I clearly have no self-control I also grabbed the spinach and cheese empanada and malbec and beef empanada. No words. Everything was fantastic. Every single item was a joy to inhale and I will absolutely do it again. The DoorDash pick-up was super easy and the staff was incredibly friendly. The only minor gripe is they don't provide bags so I had to carry everything individually walking home, which was slightly annoying. But honestly the food, the vibes, and the experience? 10 out of 10. Will be back.

Tasty, healthy, reasonable price. 24 oz was a meal along with a slice of the PB toast- sturdy piece of a whole grain bread topped with bananas, berries, and a touch of honey that was good (not too sweet). Recommend!

One of the things I love about coming here is the customer service because it's really great, especially from one of the really nice girls who works in the mornings on weekdays (I need to get her name and edit this review because she's so nice) and their oatmeal bowls are some of the best I've had and I'm pretty picky about my oatmeal. Another positive is they can do a 100% nut free smoothie because they have separate blenders for people that can't have nuts and I think that's amazing. I've seen places that mix nut and nut free in the same blenders and that's so dangerous / frustrating. I'll definitely continue coming here

From the start, I was greeted by the smiliest (yes, I know it's not a word) preteen, beaming with pride as she handed me the menu while the other woman working was outside. That moment alone set the tone--the place spoke frankly, and I felt welcome. Now, let's talk about the food. The waffles with toasted pancakes were a treat, and when I asked to add bananas, there wasn't the slightest complaint. I also ordered the Meat Lovers Skillet--oh my goodness! The red potatoes were soft, seasoned perfectly, and plentiful. The chef was generous with the ham, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, jalapeños, and green peppers. The best part? Those extra veggies weren't even part of the original skillet--they were suggested by the waitress, and she absolutely knew what she was talking about. It ended up being the veggie boost I didn't know I needed. What really moved me, though, was watching family and community woven together so seamlessly inside this little spot. It almost brought tears to my eyes. I needed this respite. I needed the children. I needed the Meat Lovers Skillet. I needed those Saturday morning cartoons. For thirty minutes, I sat in pure peace and joy. Every moment mattered. Thank you. P.S. The only reason this review isn't five stars is the clutter--my ADHD knocked it down one. Next time, I'll sit outside and enjoy the peaceful patio and its inviting chairs. Thank you, Mora Mia, for being a container of peace for your patrons today.
