Aburi Salmon Toro (Flame-Torched) Rich and fatty. Very yummy for the tummy.

Chef is so nice and food is always hit the spot. My go to is the Kaisen roll. I don't see any sushi resto have it. And Chawanmushi only available in dine in. And it takes 15 mins made to order. I first saw made at a Korean cooking show and after trying it. It's always a treat to when treating yourself.

Half eaten caterpillar roll & 2 hand rolls (salmon + tuna)

Stumbled on this place as driving through ECR Sunday afternoon and the yelpers were spot on. Caterpillar Roll- different version as they used salmon instead on unagi so it gave it a new spin on salmon/avocado pairing. Hot Roll- this was spicy and woke you up as it was hamachi inside with spicy hamachi outside and topped with jalepeno and siracha so definitely lived up to the name. Tuna hand roll- fresh, crunchy and wish I ordered 6 more. Overall the rolls were well prepared as the fish to rice ratio was good and the rolls were tight and well presented. Service was fine so looking forward to another visit.

    Kaisen Roll

I took my college-age son and his girlfriend for dinner and we were pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the fish, the sophisticated and delicate seasonings and the perfect sushi rice. I especially enjoyed the Hamachi Shot, hand rolls, Himi roll and must try Kaisen roll. We will be back and bring more family members!

We ordered a few trays of sushi for a team dinner and enjoyed the variety , size and the taste was ok. It might not be the best sushi you had , but if you're looking for a kosher option than that is a fine option .

When i want sushi that is blessed i go here! The sushi is kosher here. We arrived Tuesday evening around 7:30pm. U can make a reservation which is probably recommended. But we walked in for 2 and seated right away. This place is pretty new and we would pass it all the time on the way to downtown Palo Alto. The interior is small and cozy, their AC was down but fans on and a pretty good ambiance. Ordered the seaweed and cucumber salad to start. And i got the Kaisen roll- chef's choice fish, egg yolk, etc and bf got hamachi kama. I enjoyed the seaweed salad and the really thin cucumbers in a marinade. The kaisen roll was phenomenal, i didnt even get a pic!! Had the freshest butteriest fish, toro? Tuna? Hamachi, and some cooked egg yolk but it's texture is play doh-y in the best way. It was unique and delicious. My bf couldnt help eating more when he usually leaves what i order to eat. The hamachi kama was the best i've had. Sooo crispy yet juicy and the sauce was amazing with fresh dashi in it. Goes well with some rice. Their miso has mushrooms and tofu and it very good too. Overall sooo good and has to be my new fav sushi place

I've seen this all the time, everytime I'm in Palo Alto. I've been meaning to do this for a very long time. Today is the day, I check-it-out. Today, I'm in the South Bay Area. I'm here at Holy Sushi this Monday evening. I like the name, Holy Sushi, it seems kinda Holy. I'm taking a Hamachi shot, and I got a Red Dragon Roll made out of Tuna, and Salmon Skin Roll again. The Hamachi shot is very creative, it was heavenly. And I can tell the Tuna in the Red Dragon Roll is high quality, it's very marbled and fresh. Although the Salmon Skin Roll is in a different style this time, it's just as good as the last time I had it. It was executed very well. I was thinking this was going to be a 4.0-4.4 stars, but I give this 4.3/4.4 stars out of 5 stars. I really enjoyed my meal.

The space is intimate, with only 8 counter seats, so you're served directly by chef Li. To my surprise, all of the seats were full on a Friday at lunch. I didn't want to drink too much at lunch, but they had a $29 sake flight of three 1.5 oz pours, which was just the right amount to pair with the sushi but still be able to go back to work after lunch! Pre sushi: 1. Pickled baby ginger: I love this stuff, and he was good about refilling it 2. Crab with Japanese citrus jelly and shiso: a generous amount of sweet, fresh crab 3. Ankimo: two pieces, served with wasabi 4. Signature octopus: massaged 1 hour and stewed 1 hour - very flavorful and tender 5. Steamed abalone: served over soba with abalone liver sauce 6. Seaweed shot 7. Chawanmushi with scallops and caviar Sushi: 1. Hokkaido scallop with yuzu and sea salt 2. Spanish mackerel 3. Akami: lean bluefin tuna 4. Kinmedai: golden eye snapper, torched 5. Isaki: 3 line grunt fish 6. Kelp cured black snapper, shiso leaf, yuzu 7. Chutoro 8. Saba: mackerel with kelp 9. Otoro: torched, topped with uni The scallop and kinmedai were the highlights for me. We also got one of the à la carte add ons: the hand chopped fatty tuna and uni hand roll. To finish: red miso soup At the end, you can watch the chef preparing the bento boxes, which was a good reminder for me to keep my eye out for the next available pickup. The fish was high quality, and the pieces were cut to the right size (I've been to way too many places with unappealingly large cuts). Each course was thoughtfully prepared, and pacing was consistent. For the quality and quantity of food, as well as the service and dining experience, this was a hot deal for $125 a person. We will definitely be coming back!

I found good reviews for the Shrimp Tempura so we found this restaurant in a neighborhood area. We weren't sure because it looked small and among a tree-lined street and parking lot. No one was dining there but we gave it a chance. Decor was nice and it smelled & looked cleaned and disinfected. It's open seating so we found a seat by the window. I found some reasonable Weekday Lunch Specials so we ordered 2 entrees for $17 each. I ordered the grilled Saba Shioyaki Grilled Mackarel that came with a scoop of white rice, a bowl of Miso Soup and green salad with Miso dressing. My friend ordered the Shrimp Tempura that came with 6 pieces and the same sides. First came the soup and salad which were perfect and the soup wasn't salty. It was hot and flavorful and the salad was nice and cold. I think the lettuce was Iceberg Lettuce as it was a lighter green color. Our entrees hit the spot and gave a nice protein boost. I'd say maybe just 3 other sets of people came in but I could imagine after 5pm it gets busy. Our waitress was accommodating and efficient. Bathrooms were very clean too and neat. The service was super speedy, and the employees were really attentive. The general ambiance was relaxed and inviting. I was a huge fan of the dinner bento box. You can choose three sides for $28, and it comes with miso soup and salad. The chicken katsu was perfectly crispy and seasoned well. The chicken teriyaki featured a lovely sweet and savory glaze. And the grilled mackerel had a delicious smoky flavor and tender texture. We tried a few specialty rolls as well, which were all excellent. I highly recommend the salmon roll, mexicali roll, and toro heaven roll. All were quite delicious, with plenty of flavor. I will note I have definitely tasted better quality fish, but the price point made sense for the fish we tried. I would definitely visit again - all the dishes we had were good!

I noticed the clam soup however had broken/jagged-edged half shells within.
