Our founder & owner, Valerie Darling, had a personal experience caring for her mother, Dee Darling, for five years, which is why the business was born.

Meet the Business Owner: Valerie D.

Valerie started Home Care Matters after caring for her own mother for many years. She combined her professional & corporate experience with a personal vision of how to deliver a better experience, service, & quality of care. She determined that the best way to achieve this was to start a local, community-based business that is personalized, customized, and characterized by heartfelt care and a passion for people (both clients and caregivers). She and the HCM team are obsessed with service. Valerie says, "Through my own struggle to access help and resources to care for my mother, I recognized the need to assist others in navigating this enormous and complex healthcare system. And now, we are answering it. We operate Home Care Matters under our moms’ heavenly watch. We continually strive to make her proud of the work we do, always honoring her name and memory. Every.
