they scheduled equipment delivery for the next day and never showed and never called. at 4:30 on that day I called them to check on delivery and they said it would be delivered that same day. again it never showed and no phone call to me. calling again the next day to see what happened and the supervisor said it was scheduled originally for 2 days later but assured me that it would be delivered today. First: customer service choosing my equipment was fine. If it hadn't been, my review would be completely NEGATIVE. MY issue has been with financial services. I have been receiving bills for a rental that I returned to them in November 22...It's April 20, 2023. It has cost me between 8 and 10 hours of my time on the phone with customer "care" in these months to rectify these charges. They still have not found their papers/documents showing that I returned their CPAP. NOW they are threatening to send me to collections. They've spent $300 dollars of my time on the phone-I don't know how to send them to collections or I would. My dad was supposed to have his wheel chair when he arrived st his assisted living location after having a severe stroke that left him with right sided paralysis. This was 3 weeks ago! I rented an oxygen compressor from them at the hospital and they picked it up at my house after 10 days. Next thing you know, I'm getting cyclical monthly billing and they say the unit was never picked up. I wasted 3 hours of my life, and called 10 different phone numbers with offshore operators trying to clear this up. I had the pickup receipt but it said delivery receipt. I only was saved because I finally noticed in small print in the notes it said I took the unit home with me on the 5th and it was picked up on the 15th. Went to Aero care which used to be Home care medical to get fitted for the Jobst custom made medical compression garment, they told me that my insurance company would not cover it. When asked could I purchase it my self, aero care stated that my insurance will not allow then to take private payments. Went back to my insurance company and they denied saying that and assured me that I could pay for it myself. Aero care still won't serve me. THIS SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE. To say that this place gets even one star is a big push. We received notice at 10:55 that an unexpected delivery was attempted. The notice stated that we needed to call the dispatcher at a certain number. Since the delivery was an essential medication for someone being released from the hospital at that very same time, it was critical to reach them. At 11:00 AM when I returned from an errand, I called the dispatch number from three different lines over the next 55 minutes to try to retrieve the medication. I stayed on the first line for the entire 55 minutes with a "please stay on the line" message. I called their offices in Milwaukee got a similar but not identical message that eventually just hung up. I called the hospital to call them -- they got through on another number. I called again, got through, but again a hang up. When the home health agency and hospital got through to them, things quickly turned around. The pharmacist was very courteous and got the items delivered. BUT, the agency providing essential health services has broken systems and failed employee behaviors (hang ups). Was a customer for many years, received CPAP supplies and more. Insurance got me a heavy duty adjustable bed from Home Care Medical and when it needed to be replaced years later, insurance ok'd another. When Home Care Medical brought the new bed, they refused to take the broken bed out (the bed they sold me). They told me to call a junk hauling place. (I did, quoted $150). I live in a studio apartment and now I have 2 beds taking up valuable space. They got all this business from me, but no service, no compassion for a disabled person. read more

Please DO NOT PURCHASE compression stockings or wraps from this place! (I don't know about any other products, but I will NOT be doing business with them again for anything). They not only almost double the price compared to what you can find online, but the billing services will NOT respond to anything other than a phone call, even though their website (AdaptHealth) gives you the option on how you want them to contact you. And even then, they will not listen, they do not put notes on the file for the next person and they CONTINUE to call. I left 2 "contact us" notes online and sent a letter - their response to these was to send me to collection. Now they claim I still owe them $3.48 - after more than 6 MONTHS following the purchase - even though I paid the collection agency what I was billed. These people are CROOKS in my opinion and I will NEVER set foot in their store or recommend them to ANYONE - in fact, I will steer them clear of them! I would give these idiots a negative 5 if possible. It's been a few years since I have had to work with them, and their performance is even worse than before. I have a manual wheelchair. In the past, while working with Home Care Medical, I had such a hard time just getting my tires and innertubes replaced. I would have to wait WEEKS into MONTHS for them to get me new tires and innertubes! Their excuse was that the tubes were rotted and unusable. Then, wait for it, wait weeks again for replacement tubes... They would blame their supplier for the problems. Funny thing is, I became so enraged by their gross and ever-present incompetence that I would have my wheels taken to a bike shop. They NEVER had any issues with tires or tubes or the infinite wait for something so basic as essentially bike parts. Current day. As I stated before, my manual wheelchair is broken where the wheelchair back attaches to the wheelchair. Both sides are broken, meaning that I do not have the ability to affix the chair-back to the wheelchair proper. Currently, it is afixed to the wheelchair by zip-ties. The parts I need are $330.00 from the supplier. So, I need to go through my insurance, meaning I have to do the, "Home Care Medical Charlie-Foxtrot Limbo" dance again. I called my physical rehab provider and asked them to enter a script for me to have my wheelchair repaired. They sent the script to HCM. I call them for the status. Me: Did you receive the script to have my wheelchair replaced? Them: Yes. Me: And.... Them: we cannot send it to your insurance for approval yet. Me: What? Them: Your insurance requests notes from your visit. Me: I didn't have a visit...that is impossible due to COVID Them: We have all the information we need, your insurance requires notes from the visit that generated the script. Me: There was no visit. Not sure if you heard about this COVID19 pandemic (it was May). I could not have a physical visit at this time. It was at this time that I called my insurance (I am truly blessed to have awesome insurance). They told me that they did not require any documentation from a visit other-than a script. I re-addressed this issue with the Home-care Medical brain-trust. After much prying on my part, they finally admitted that THEY require the notes from my non-existent visit with my provider. I called my provider and asked them to please put some verbiage together indicating that I need my wheelchair repaired. I also advised them to send HCM a couple of coloring-books and crayons. I advised my provider to include some instructions on how use crayons as they may not know to use the pointy-ends down. It is bad enough to have to deal with the emotional, physical, and monetary implications of becoming disabled. It doesn't help when one has to deal with pin-heads* like Home Care Medical. *my most humble apologies to any pin-heads out there that don't work at Home Care Medical. read more

After about 2 weeks, got follow up from television station stating that Home Care Medical had updated my account with correct info and that they claimed they notified me of same. After experienced very poor customer service on receiving my first CPAP machine I thought I'd look at reviews and leave comment. Oh my, looks like we're all in the same boat, and the boat is sinking. What a terrible company. How and Why can they get away with this? I waited 3 weeks to get a call about my CPAP being in after ordered. I finally called and they said they never got an order regarding me from Aurora Sleep Ctr. Aurora explained they faxed it over within a day of my appointment. I didn't know who to believe, I just made sure it was finally done. After reading about how miserable they are I believe Aurora ordered timely. Call Backs? Ha! Ha! So when I got the machine "Tony" invited me to call him back with issues regarding my CPAP set up. I struggle for weeks to adjust and finally called Tony. I called him THREE times over the next weeks and never got a call back. Then I tried the alternate extension he offered on his VM. I got a receptionist and she promised a return call from one of their respiratory specialists. I keep my phone close, I never received a call. What a terrible company...... read more

There don't seem to be any good choices for CPAP supplies in the Milwaukee Area. I've run through the list of approved medical supply vendors from my insurance company, they are mostly no longer actually in business after being bought out by one of the giants like Aurora, but Aurora pharmacies don't actually carry CPAP supplies. The two biggest medical supply chains remaining, this one and Snore No More have dismal customer service. Home Care can't remind you of recurring supplies, their turnover is rapid enough that their sales people are pretty much always at the brand new and incompetent level. Their record keeping is sitcom quality. I've spent a year trying to get the parts that are supposed to be replaced every 6 months, and when I just called back to find out what happened to the order from last week that was supposed to be sent to me a year ago (one of the parts is held together with duct tape, seriously) they couldn't find my records at all. Not by name (of course like so many places they get first names and last names confounded, I'm "Mr. Rohan," ) not by birthdate, and that's where she left it. No, "I can't find the order, but let's get those parts out to you by special order so you don't die in your sleep" instead she just closed with "nope, you're not in our system." In the situation where you've just told a patient with sleep apnea that you're not going to help him replace his CPAP supplies, "have a nice day," seems really disturbing. The only way I ever get any assistance is going there in person, or speaking with a manager. Customer service is nonexist. I see there is an update on 11/21/18 from HCM regarding a brace that my insurance doesn't cover. It is in violation of HIPAA laws for you to post medical information like this on a public platform, and it looks as though you have removed that post now. I never used a brace in my life. I got a rolling walker from them at Forester about 2 years ago. The only problem is that whoever initially put it together did a pretty lackluster job. The thing falls apart regularly. They only do "adjustments" till noon on Mondays and from 1 - 4 on Thursdays. If you only have a walker from them, they won't send anyone to your home for repairs, and they don't have any parts inhouse. If you need parts, you have to go to their location in New Berlin. The people I have talked to on the phone were not really rude per se, but they weren't very nice and they were very matter of fact. You can't tell that I'm disabled over the phone, but I feel that I deserve a level of kindness and a modicum of respect, the same as might be given to anyone. Between the apparent crappiness of their assembling and the somewhat coldness of their employees, I will not be going to them for future DME needs. read more

And boy do they jump when you start naming names like the CEO's and CFO.s So I get an email and a follow up snail mail letter admitting their errors, pointing out they are not perfect. It was a very nice letter too. They (She) pointed our their length of time in business, their accreditation, eventually summarizing by asking me to remove my post. How nice! I didn't expect anything less, or more. Actually I was a bit surprised that I received any retort at all. (Have you ever tried to call this outfit? You get an answering machine that promises to call you back within a day or so, and good luck with that.!) She didn't sway me, but I did think about it. In all fairness, I am sure she has a difficult job doing the CYA routine, at least you'd have to think so given the reviews you see. I will give them credit for having a beautiful supply store near southridge, and the girl that helped me with my new CPAP machine was a peach. But that's where it all ends. So as a few days passed, I received the snail mail (it was a repeat of the email, which she did indicate it would be). And now, suddenly I've somehow found my way back on their email list to badger me daily about reordering supplies! And, it may be there, but this old codger can't seem to locate an easy way to unsubscribe (AGAIN)! Now I don't recall exactly how, over a year ago now, I was able to unsubscribe but I feel fairly confident that I called them and probably left them a scathing message. Either way, I got off their email list (but not the fake (or erroneous, as I am sure they would prefer) billing list apparently). But now do to my review, and the nice letter I was sent, I guess they feel they've won me back and arbitrarily threw me back on their email spam list (of course without asking me) Wow, what a pathetic outfit. Their mark-ups are absurd (a hundred bucks for support hosiery that is little more than a calf-length executive sock?), six week wait time on appointments, screw-ups in filling orders, a labyrinthian phone system, $300. I am a new pt requiring medical equipment and my dr requested I use HCM saying HCM would be one week before contaced me. It has been one week so I called them. This is to provide on my experience ordering and receiving CPAP supplies for the first time with Home Care Medical, New Berlin, WI 262-786-9870. This organization is the most inefficient and rude customer service that I have ever experienced. When I moved into Wisconsin, I visited the office in New Berlin in order to identify my new machine which I received in Florida in the spring of 2017. I gave the Intake Clerk identification of the type of machine and gave her a listing of supplies needed at the 3 month and 6-month periods. Although I was requested to bring in the machine (which I did), the Clerk did not ask me to take it out of the case. I was told she would automatically place the order when I was due so there was nothing I have to do. I received the order shipped 10/5/2017 under PO 312226, Order 1026225090 which was incomplete. Received Swift FX Nasal Pillow System with 1 SM, M, L pillows (I use small which gives me 1 out of this); 1 extra Small pillow; 2 Disposable ultra-fine filters; 1 water tank; and 1 backorder for a heated tubing. Keep in mind, that I must change disposable filters and pillows every often so I was very much short of medically required supplies. Also, I was not sent a non-disposable, washable filter that is changed every 6 months. Nor was it shown on back order. I visited the Home Care Medical in Delafield and told the Rep that I was missing 4 ultra-fine filters, 4 small pillows and the 1 non- disposable washable filter. She said she would order them. I received 4 small pillows and 4 ultra-fine filters but no disposable washable filter under PO 314453, Order 1026367128. At 8:15 am on 10/18/2017, I telephoned the ordering customer service at 262-786-9870 and came in contact with the rudest person I have ever met at a customer service location. The clerk said it was my fault I was missing product as I was supposed to identify each piece and how many. (I was not given the opportunity to explain that the Intake Clerk told me she would order automatically as she was talking over me.) She will place the order for the disposable washable filter. Then I tried to inquire about the backorder of one heated tubing. She yelled at me that there is no order for that (when I am looking at the original order which shows back order) and says she will order one for me. I than asked her for her name and she hung up on me. So much for the ordering supplies and customer service for Home Care Medical - they are the worst. read more

Before going to this location I questioned it and also informed my doctor. He said it should be ok but what in fact happened I was told that they accept my insurance. Now I work for one of the top hospitals here in Milwaukee and they don't accept my insurance. Never ever in my 52 years have I ever heard of such a travesty. Not ever going there again. Years back. We went there to get my husband a rollator walker. Medicare will pay for them. Well 80% of the cost. We took the prescription from the doctor over there. They called insurance. In 10 or so minutes. Was approved for the rollator. They told my husband what he gets to pick from that is covered. They set it up for his height. We were out of there in about a half hour. 19.99$ was our 20% we paid. It was easy peasy getting his rollator. Now recently took a friend up there to get a rollator. She has MS. Needs it for balance when walking. She too had a script from her doctor. She explained her current rollator the wheels are worn out bad. That this walker was given to her by a family member to use. Insurance never ever gave her one. They now demanded she had to have the paper that says she seen her doctor and why. Which she did not have. I spoke up. Saying how come my husband didn't need it when he got his. This woman said things have changed. You need all this paperwork from the doctor. Not just the script. So we had my friends doctor fax it over. Next day. She got a call. They said you are denied a rollator. That you are already walking with one. So insurance will not give you one. Yet my friend never got a letter or email from her insurance. She was denied and why. Insurance companies always do that. Then tell you how you can appeal their decision if you like to do that. I think the woman at the store. Didn't want to process my friends script. Because she seen she had a rollator. In the end. My friend got her rollator for free. Medicare and insurance covered it. I needed supplies for drain care the doctors office placed the order July 31 I told the nurse that I ran out of supplies and needed them yesterday I also told her that I would even go and pick them up. No call from home cate medical and no supplies I had to buy some of my supplies out of pocket ( not happy) I have been using the same syringe to flush my frIn for the past week ( gross!) I even called the supply person left a message no call back customer service is very poor delivery of supplies is worse I will only use home care medical for my CPAP supplies I will never use this company again! Very stressful trying to get a proscription filled here. Not only is the customer service horrible and non helpful. They make you jump through hoops to try and get what you were sent from your doctor to pick up! It's been over a week since I've been trying for a scooter. I was told to bring script in and pick up, first they needed something else from my doctor which is fine and understandable. Now it's been 3 times they ask them for something else, like the doctor is lying or they don't think I really need. Which is in no way there decision to make! I get my CPAP supplies from Home Care Medical. The order is screwed up every time. I always get more than I asked for and then they bill me for it. Trying to get them to STOP billing me for it is ridiculous. Every time I have to wait for them to send me a UPS label and then find a UPS box or store to send the stuff back. They're terrible. I have been using a CPAP for several years now and they have NEVER filled an order correctly. What a horrible example of customer service. Called on 12/19 at 10am when they opened inquiring about a knee scooter. My physician already sent a Rx for it. Said I would get a call back in 8 business hours. No call received. Called again today and I was transferred to the store and left another message. I told them to cancel my request and relayed how disappointed I was with the lack of response. I was able to get a scooter from another vendor. l had a script from my doctor faxed over to Home Care Medical for a walker replacement. Home Care Medical called and said they would send it to me. During the phone conversation, I requested a description of it. Being a fairly large person,the walker wasn't going to be of any use and it seemed they didn't rely on information on the script from my doctor.I was told that the kind requested they weren't able to provide. And they couldn't find the script that was sent over. I was told to get a second script specifying the walker needed and take it in to the store on 76th street. It was basically the same script but marked bariatric several times. I was told it would be ready the next day. Home Care Medical called three hours later the same day and said it was ready to go. Went to pick it up the next day and was told what I needed wasn't available. Made a search on my home computer and found that it was possible to get it from them. Home Care Medical on 76th required I bring in a third script since the original script, that they supposedly lost, was from more than thirty days ago (more like six weeks but not by any fault of my own). I requested another script from my doctor, going through the long explanation, and picked up a new (third) script and brought it to the store on December13th, 2019. The customer service I received was appalling. I was the only customer in the store. The receptionist was busy answering calls but the other three employees, while sipping their coffee and sitting in their seats, were seemingly annoyed that I was there. One finally got up and I explained the situation to her. She told me she didn't think the script had the appropriate information.I then said I don't know what else I can do and I didn't know that she had the power to supercede a prescription.Rather to resolve the issue, the other two sitting got up and formed a line with her. I never saw anything like it with their posturing. Getting those three to help was out of the question so I left. I called my doctor's office again and requested that a fourth script be faxed over to corporate on December 16th, 2019 since I no longer wanted to deal with the employees (?) at the store. After hearing nothing, I called corporate on four weeks later. I was told they would get back to me and they did the next day. Elizabeth was very pleasant and helpful and by the end of that week I finally got the walker.And it was the right one! Thanks Elizabeth! In conclusion, almost three months to get a walker, with wheels in front and rubbers in back, what a joke! read more
