DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse - And the sales attendants always have to waste my time looking for size 10e, after I complain that there aren't any 10e.

They have improved in that they no longer call customers insulting names like "shoelover" when I walk in, but they still don't seem to realize they are in direct competition with online choices. Online, my size, 10e, is never a problem. In this store, they seem to operate on some formula for in stock sizes that dates back to the American 1960s. Most of their styles do not have a 10e, they have 10, 10.5 standard width, and 10eee. They say, if I don't see my size, to ask a salesperson, but this results in the sales person looking through the same stack I just looked through (taking a little longer than me) and pronouncing that they don't seem to have my size. Very annoying. I'm going to stick to ordering directly from Allen Edmonds or Kiziks.

Date of visit: April 17, 2024…read more I have a love/hate relationship with DSW: I love that they often have my size shoe (14), which many stores do not. But I hate that the options for my giant feet are not great and the things I like are often pretty pricey. Occasionally I will score a good deal on something, but this was not one of those days. The pickings for my size were slim and I had to dodge a giant cart of shoes that a worker was using as their staging area, giving me a look like I was inconveniencing her for daring to shop while she is stocking shoes. The nerve of me! I did find some heel guards at a good price and the sales staff at the front of the store was pleasant so the experience wasn't ALL bad.

DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse - They still go by some mid 20th century formula stocking no 10E mens, not an unusual size. They have some 10EEE, 10 standard but no 10e.

**July 2025: Tuesday Afternoon Visit**…read more This was such a great charity shop to visit! It was a pretty hot summer afternoon so being inside a well ventilated and ac'd store was a relief. The store itself is styled like a boutique and is a long hallway with different rooms focused on different clients (ie. children's section, men's section, active etc). I did feel like many of the women's clothes were geared towards a more mature crowd, but I appreciated the fitting room to try everything on. Unfortunatley, the things I loved were probably meant for juniors/teenagers and were just a tad too small for me *cries* Nevertheless, I found some really great (like new conditioned) random things like a Superman BBQ Apron (perfect for the summer of Superman), and Michael Kors Mary Jane Pumps that will work perfectly for my Wicked outfit that I'm putting together. I didn't know at the time, but I suspect because I visited during the week of July 4th that everything in store was 50% off, which almost felt like highway robbery since everything was already very inexpensive already! My Mary Janes were $10 and thus $4.50 and the Superman Apron came out to $2.50. This is a great clean, organized and well priced charity shop that I'd love to support again on a return visit. Enjoy!
