This place has many awesome items for those of us who have a taste for modern furnishings and decor. But, there's a dark side to this wonderful selection of furnishings and decor. The first would be the price. Copenhagen knows they're the only location in San Antonio to offer such modern peices. And because of that, they're emboldened to over price everything, because they know most of their clientele are well off financially. Secondly, the quality of their goods are often poorly made and quite frankly cheap. Case in point the $6,000 sofa I purchased from them. In under 2 years, the seat cousin where I sit has "sunken in" horribly. And no, I am not fat and no, I do not sit in the same spot hours a day. It's just a simple matter of poor quality and my stupidity thinking it was worth the price. So, in summary, if you make a lot of money and want to pay too much for decor or poorly made furnishings, feel free to shop in Copenhagen furniture. read more

Of course Copenhagen is not responsible for the worlds supply chain issues and they were definitely very nice throughout the entire process of looking at the sofas and then picking one out and then arranging all of the details. Today I went into Copenhagen looking for some new kitchen chairs. After spending hours selecting the chairs I was informed that they were being discontinued. I asked to buy the chairs off the floor at full price. The store manager named Allison Galt was extremely inflexible. She simply stated that she would not sell from the floor, but would not provide a reason why. Alison became hostile and straight up rude. I am incredibly disappointed with my experience at Copenhagen, especially with the customer service of the store manager. read more

He walk in without mask and the girl in front start yelling at him (like she is mask police or something) she was very rude and obnoxious! And although Evan was off the day that we shopped, Joanne did a great job of getting everything knocked out quickly. We have enjoyed all of our purchases ... beyond our expectations! We have a living room that is now used ... love the reclining aspect of the sectional and the pop of color with the patchwork chairs. But the comfortable "mismatched" dining room chairs are the game changer. My husband picked out two chairs that were comfortable for him and I selected two different chairs that were comfortable for me and then we picked out two more different chairs together. I purchased 4 dining chairs to replace some older oak chairs. The entire dining room looks great with these new chairs. On a different visit I bought a Restless reclincer. We were looking for a chair to help my wife's back issues. We went to Copenhagen because they carry Stressless Recliners, which I knew were great chairs. We worked with Soren, who was very pleasant, knowledgeable and showed us all the available options. He priced the various options and we went to several other places to check out their chairs. On balance, the Stressless was the best, but certainly not the cheapest, choice. We ended up getting a great bargain on a floor model, and it has proven to be a perfect selection. It looks great, and has given my wife the comfort and support her back needs. Hello beautifully crafted, high quality Italian bed that fits nicely within my new San Antonio condo-sized apartment. Buying here is a cinch. I don't know what people are talking about when they complain about the service here. While I was dressed business casual, it's not like I'm the most dapper, richest-looking dude on the planet either. The furniture store was relatively empty, but I kind of appreciated that they gave me a couple of minutes to peruse selections instead of swarming upon me. When I was approached, it was friendly, helpful, and not aggressive at all. If this constitutes bad service, sign me up for another helping! The delivery process is really smooth and in the extreme off-chance that there is a problem, they fix it quickly. Every single step of the process has been above board, and this is coming from someone who admittedly can get a bit finicky when the delivery process is compromised. I have nothing but praise for Copenhagen. Sometimes it feels so REFRESHING to have a great customer-service experience. I knew exactly the Herman Miller chair I wanted, and Copenhagen had it in stock when all the online sellers had wait lists as long as two months. Even better, Copenhagen's price for the model with the specific features I wanted was CHEAPER than anything I saw online. I called to ask about the chair, and the manager was so welcoming and informative. After I purchased it through their online site, we arranged a time for me to pick it up from their San Antonio warehouse the next day. I brought it home, and it was exactly what I wanted--I had an earlier model of the chair already--but the arm rests seemed just a *bit* loose. When I wrote to the manager, she replied right away by both email and phone. She even arranged to have one of Copenhagen's skilled repairmen come to my house with another chair (same model, brand new) so I could see whether the one I bought was just an "exception." Indeed, it was, and they urged me to take the new chair so I would feel as good as possible about the purchase. Mind you, this all happened extremely quickly, totally according to my own schedule, and it was their idea--not mine. They were so accommodating, enthusiastic, and WARM, and they continually told me that they would do whatever it took to make me 100% satisfied with the chair. Clearly, such a quick turnaround--and with a visit, comparison, and exchange at my own home overseen by an expert--wouldn't be possible with an online seller. Sometimes it's worth it to pay extra for such service. It's even better when the price tag is CHEAPER, as it was at Copenhagen. Thanks so much, Allison and David--you made my week. We had read furniture was taking quite a while due to the pandemic and were not in a hurry. our beautiful couches were delivered at their appointed time by a couple of very responsible guys. This is the best furniture store around! They have the nicest furniture out of any place I've seen in the city and even surrounding cities. They have a wide variety of furnishings for any budget, from budget all the way up to $$$$. Very high quality stuff that will last, other furniture stores may be slightly cheaper, but will be much lesser quality. Know going in there that the furniture is super expensive (the cheapest single pillow I saw that they had on clearance was $75) and it tends to be geared towards the modern/contemporary palette. After shopping places like Office Depot for desks that would just wear considerably and fall apart over-time I decided to spend a little more and get better quality and discovered BDI office furniture here. The styling of their furniture is very functional and unique and the build quality has stood up to the test of time. This location is a much larger showroom than the place they had off of 281 and the inventory and staff has grown quite a bit with the building size too. I was able to find some unique items and get some really good design ideas from walking the floor and checking things out. The bed I came to see from online was not displayed on the showroom floor so that was kind of a bust, seeing as it was one of the major reasons I came out. read more
