For a big box store I was very happy and surprised at the level of excellent customer service , variety and price. After a disappointing experience at Markan Floors we came to Home Depot for a few things. We were happy to find a large variety of flooring cheaper then Markan. We special ordered our choice with the knowledgable and helpful representative. Special order will take a couple of weeks or so. This Home Depot carries all the typical things most of them do . 1st they delivered a gazebo that was 800.00 less expensive than the one I ordered and paid for, I said I would keep it, no worries, just refund the difference. They have taken 100.00 plus tax from my refunded amount, and won't bother to explain why. Kind of sleazy for a big store like this. Don't know if the on line order and refund are being handled in Duncan BC or in a larger Canadian center but- NOT GOOD as far as I am concerned. I used to be a pretty regular customer, not anymore. Firstly I do enjoy shopping at Home Depot, however I had ordered two skylights on September 8 and as of October 12 I have still not received my skylights which I had paid for. The supervisor that I had been speaking to was very helpful however she was still unable to get my skylights after over a month. I really do not recommend ordering anything online through Home Depot as they deal with the company Day and Ross, a shipping company that loses their shipments and then gives way too many excuses to explain way their incompetence! In short shopping at Home Depot is great if you can walk out of the store with whatever you want under your arm, highly do not recommend placing an online order unless you need it sometime within the next six months! read more
