Holy hell. 1 regret I will never forget. All the negative reviews are correct. He must have paid for all the good reviews because there was not 1 thing good with this experience.... Booked him for a Monday 9am appointment paid in advance... he showed up 1 1/2 late. Said his other inspector was late due to the time change (time change happens sundays not Mondays) anyways he just "happened to be in the area" so he would take over. Said he would send us the report in 24 hours... it's Thursday. I called him over 50 times no answer... texted, emailed, nothing. One can only think, he stole our money! $900 down the drain. $699 inspection $199 asbestos testing. Do not repeat our mistakes. He is a complete fraud and scammer. read more

You get what you pay for but in my case you don't. Stanley the owner is nothing short of a crook and changes his story about what is included with each package. I called this guy to set up a home inspection.  He was friendly on the phone but his attitude was quick to change when I started calling him out on his lies which tells me this is something he is prepared for and use to doing due to his inconsistencies.  When I initially called I gave him the details about the townhome I was purchasing. He quickly recommended the advance package. I asked him repeatedly why the advance over the regular. He told me the advance package includes environmental test and inferred testing both of which I did not receive. This is the only reason why I chose this package because my townhouse was built around the year lead and asbestos were banned. I'm still in the dark. I also have no ideas what's going on behind my walls since inferred testing was not done. When talking to Stanley about him switching​ what he told me and explaining to him certain things were not done that was suppose to be included in the package. He made zero efforts to make it right. I said ok I'll just pay for the basic service since that is all I got. He quickly said, "No no that's not how it works." He tried to make me feel guilty by saying "You are a first time home buyer and I'm trying to make you understand." What a ridiculous thing to says for many reasons: 1. I am a licensed, working real estate Broker. I know how home inspections work.  2. What does that have to do with you giving potential customers accurate information?   I take pride in protecting my clients from those like Stanley who take advantage of first time home buyers. I can only find slight comfort that this happened to me and not one of my clients. He also kept mentioning how great his inspector was which I totally agree but does that make up for the fact that you pry on first time home buyers and mislead them to upsell packages that are unnecessary for a townhome? Or that I didn't get everything included in my package? No Stanley it does not. Give me what I paid for. If I went to In and Out and ordered a burger and fries and only received a burger. Would it make it right if the manager said my cook made the best damn burger be happy. Again no Stanley. I feel sick to my stomach that I actually paid for this service. I felt obligated due to the type of business owner Stanley is...misleading and crooked. If I didn't pay I'm sure he wouldn't have had paid the inspector and that did not sit well with me.  The conversation ended with me hanging up on him. He kept saying "What you going to do?" as if making threats. I have no time for that ignorance and unprofessionalism​. Just terrible! At the end of the day Stanley recommended a package that I did not need even with him knowing I was buying a townhouse and that my place didn't have an attic. He said, "How do you know the place didn't have an attic?" Well Stan because I didn't buy this townhouse blind. I actually spent time as a buyer/broker looking at the place before I made an offer just like most buyers do. I will make sure my company and associates never do business with this guy. Last thing I want is for him to take advantage of my clients especially my first time home buyers who are already under enough pressure. For your sake Google what environmental inspection means by other reputable companies. To Stan all he means is that he will visually check for these things if necessary. His words not mine. No way would I have paid more $$$ just for Stan to tell me, "You may have lead and asbestos." Actually the more and more I write this the more frustrated I get. This guy duped me. This is one of those industries where the character of the business is THE MOST important. Honesty, effort and simple "know how" is what you would want and those qualities were demonstrated to me. I wasn't even their customer! Basically, my car was smashed by a hit and run. Anyone who's been through it knows it's an awful experience. However, Stanley, happen to witness it and documented it all on his phone. I was not even there. My car was parked and He just took it upon himself to be a Good Samaritan and put off his daily to help out a stranger. Not only did he not let the perp get away with it, he went above and beyond by calling it in and filing a police report on my behalf! I was walking to my car as he happen to drive by and asked if it was mine. I said "yes", then he told me what had happened. He showed me the pictures and sent them to my phone. He even helped me with simple instructions on how to take care of it with the police department. Of course I was shocked but even more so that this man did all that he had to help. He explained how he was paying it forward and how he would have liked someone to do the same for him. If this is his character towards a stranger then I can only assume the quality of care he gives to his customers is top notch! If you want to do business with someone of INTEGRITY then you found it. I am disgusted by my experience with this company. For now, it is a 1-star review--the owner promised me a "full refund" that has not been received at this point. When I originally contacted this mold inspection company via a Yelp inquiry, I received a text from a 949 area code number that was used to book the appointment and for all business communications from the very beginning. There is also an 800 number and a 310 number on the company's website/Yelp page, which appear to be official company numbers. Well, guess what? ALL THREE phone numbers route to this guy's personal cell phone--I will just call him "the owner," since he never properly introduced himself to me. At the beginning, I assumed that this company had a receptionist and levels of management--but that is not the case. The owner showed up an hour late to the noon appointment on a Friday, despite telling me that I was his only appointment that day. I acknowledge that he didn't take extra air samples that he thought were unnecessary--he only charged for the basic $399 mold inspection. He told me that the lab results would come on Tuesday, and "at latest" on Wednesday. This was good because Thursday was July 4th, so I expected the lab results before any holiday closure. I needed these lab results ASAP, as I repeatedly emphasized to him, because my young daughter has wheezing issues and we needed to rule out mold as the culprit. It turns out that the owner did not even mail out the air quality samples until Monday--3 DAYS after the appointment. His excuse was that the lab is 'closed on weekends'--okay... so mail it out on Friday afternoon, Saturday, or even Sunday so that it gets to the lab by Monday?!? Instead, the lab apparently received the air quality samples on Tuesday. So he said it was unlikely we would get the results by Wednesday as he had promised, since it's a 48-hour turnaround and everything would be closed on Thursday (July 4th). So then he was telling me it would probably arrive on Friday, an entire week after the appointment--and even that didn't sound assured to me. On Wednesday morning, I asked him to follow up with the lab for me--which he agreed to do. But he NEVER responded with an update--I heard nothing at all from him about any follow-up. In fact, as I will soon describe, he didn't even seem to know who I am--there was no way to trust that he would follow up at all. I didn't contact him on July 4th. But after 7 am on July 5th, I sent a text to the 949 number (which again had been used exclusively for all business communication with this company from the very beginning) to simply say that I had not heard back from him with any follow-up on Wednesday, and I wanted to make sure that he followed up with the lab on Friday (before it closed for yet another weekend). This was done in the interest of my daughter's health. I didn't trust this guy to follow up with me anymore. According to the company's own Yelp page, it is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. But apparently, the owner had partied too hard on July 4th and neglected to silence his "personal cell phone" that ALL THREE company numbers are routed to. So he was furious that my text message to the 949 number had woken him up. In fact, he had no idea who I was--he was calling me "Sir" even though we had texted each other back and forth for the appointment, he had exclusively dealt with me for this entire situation, and I'm a woman. The guy's attitude was outrageously unprofessional, and I wanted to call his manager/supervisor (at the time not realizing that there was no one else). I assumed a receptionist would pick up when I called the 800 number so that I could leave a message with his superior. Instead, the owner picked up the phone and started viciously yelling at me for waking him up after 7 am on a weekday, the morning after a holiday--again calling me "Sir" before I had a chance to say a word. I told him I didn't understand why he had picked up the phone from the 800 number and hung up--then I tried the 310 "company" number. And from the 310 "company" number, he picked up again and I heard him calling me the B-word (I assume conversing with his wife), at which point I hung up without saying a word. Then came a flood of psychotic text messages--even after he declared that the text conversation was over (at which point I stopped texting him back), this moron was continuing to text me like a crazy person. During the course of his ongoing barrage of text messages (hilariously accusing ME of 'harassment' and threatening to report me to irrelevant entities for calling seemingly official company numbers after 7 am on a weekday, for a company supposedly open 24/7), he mentioned that I could have paid an 'expedite fee' to get the air quality samples sent to the lab earlier--he NEVER mentioned any possibility of an 'expedite fee' at the appointment, which I obviously would have paid considering our circumstances. SHAME on him for stressing my family out with his nonsense. read more

To be honest, I will no longer use this company to be my home inspector because they totally ruined my schedule; they did not show up when the date of appointment and they called me a minute before that they couldn't make it and will show up next week at the same time. There is no way for you to do this. At least, the seller would not extend the time to remove the contingency; so the physical inspection contingency has to be signed without the inspection. When I read Home Front Inspect's reviews one word kept repeating... STAN. A lot of these companies on here discount their services for these fake 5 star ratings, this is NOT the case for Stan and Home Front Inspect. So all of you out there worried about that, know Stan has EARNED and DESERVES every 5 star rating. Stan was able to work with my schedule and showed up early explaining the entire process in detail. I asked a lot of questions and followed his every move. Not once did he seem aggravated or annoyed and happily answered all my questions. His FLIR thermal camera didn't work during the initial inspection, but he pointed out potential water damage behind the washer/dryer. Stan recommend that he come back, at no charge, once he got his camera working. Within 2 hours of leaving the first day he called to schedule the follow up inspection. We had worked with a home inspector on two previous properties we wanted to buy and weren't that satisfied with the outcomes (one was very expensive, the other missed a major window leak in major water damage in the basement, under the carpeting - both inspectors had been recommended by our then agents). This time I looked on yelp for home inspectors with good reviews and found Home Front Inspectors. They were timely in returning my call, in scheduling the home inspection and offered 3 different packages to choose from which was a great option to have (we went with the middle one that did not include sewage line checking). Stan came out on a Saturday morning, did the whole inspection in a few hours and was very thorough. We appreciated the detailed report that followed along with the clear images, highlighting exact possible problem areas and solutions/recommendations. Recently, I went into escrow on my first home purchase. The house I was purchasing was built in 1969 and I went into the purchase assuming the house would need repairs. However, I could never possibly have known or identified all the problems that existed on the property. To make matters worse, the standardized real estate purchase contract that I signed provided me with only 21 days to complete all inspections of the property. This is where Jon from Home Front Inspect came to the rescue. A friend of a friend referred me to Home Front Inspect to obtain a general whole-house inspection. Jon was the inspector that came and met me at the house. During Jon's inspection, he went above and beyond to give me a heads up about every single issue he saw plaguing the house. He even gave me input on matters outside of the scope of his "general inspection". In short, for an extremely affordable and reasonable price, Jon inspected the entire house, the crawl space, the attic, the plumbing, the yard, the ceilings, the locks.....frigging EVERYTHING. But what was the motivation for Jon to give me such a comprehensive inspection rather than limit it to the typical "general inspection" areas that such an inspection usually includes? Well, as Jon previously mentioned to me, he inspects every home from the viewpoint/perspective of whether he would feel safe having his own kids and family living at the property. Setting aside the fact that Jon was a rockstar in identifying all the issues with the house, Jon was also amazingly responsive and accessible before and after the inspection. After he inspected the property, I was in constant contact with him by text messaging and phone calls to get updated about any recommendations he had and when I'd get his report. Moreover, the report was emailed to me within 24 hours and was so wonderfully comprehensive that I was able to use it to get a reduction on the purchase price of my home to account for all the things I would need to fix. In sum, I cannot imagine using anyone other than Jon from Home Front Inspect to conduct a general inspection of any property I ever own.
