He even took photos in an area where there was messed up flooring in the wood in one of the pictures and just wrote something generic like "damage". Low and behold, I contacted a flooring company to redo and they said it is rotting, and has been for a long time, from termites. In addition the boards being moldy and rotted. How did you miss something SO MAJOR that you even took a picture of and noted the damage? We purchased this house under the assumption that everything was fine and now we might have a major infestation on our hands and super expensive repairs due to this incompetent dumbass? I contacted Inspection Gurus through Yelp on a Thursday night, I was not sure they would get back to me or have any availability the next day. I was pleased and surprised when they messaged me back right away, and within about 30 minutes I had a quote for my home I inspection and appointment for the next day. The home inspector was extremely friendly and polite. He arrived to the appointment early. During the inspection I asked many questions, he was always very patient when explaining everything to me. He seemed very thorough in checking everything in the home. The inspection lasted about 2 hours. The report was sent to me in the evening on the following day, and contained pictures and very specific information about the home condition and needed repairs. I found a home that needed an inspection and I only had 24 hours to find someone. I asked a few friends who they used and but wanted to also do my own due diligence. Adnan from Home Inspection Gurus was an amazing inspector. He made sure to check every corner from top to bottom. Unfortunately to my disappointment, I disagreed with the report since whatever I thought was cosmetic to me and my family thus seemed hazardous or worn out, broken was passed either good or fair. Even though I disagreed with the inspection rating I was offered a full refund. Im considering giving 50% back, because after thinking about it, the individual did spend the time driving and doing whatever was necessary. Adnan went above and beyond and even the sellers of the property became nervous at the detailed level of inspection. My agent recommended Adnan for inspection of the house in Middle Village. This area is full of 80-year-old houses and it was important for me to get a thorough inspection. Adnan was very accommodating with his schedule and we found a mutual solution within 3-days after my call. He texted me that he was a few mins late for inspection and it shows that he is trying to be as punctual as one can be in NYC. His inspection lasted for more than 3 hours.
