I used Home Run on my new build for my initial home buying inspection and for my 1 year inspection. Both times they were timely, professional, knowledgeable, and helpful! They detailed everything on their report in a way that was easy for me to present to the builder and for the builder to follow up and make necessary repairs. I would especially like to note how important it was for me to add the sewer line inspection. The added cost was SO insignificant compared to the $14k repair that was needed based on the inspection findings. Thankfully Home run found it and gave me all of the info I needed to submit it to the builder for warranty repair. I have used James Hudson and RIS on several occasions and have been amazed at the level of professionalism and detail shown in each inspection. Having been licensed as a contractor in VA ( a state which required detailed knowledge of building codes and processes) I have been amazed by the foundation of knowledge shown by RIS. This includes specific circumstances where a major builder was building to codes which were not for the district in which they were building! James realized the builder was using codes for a neighboring municipality and his findings forced changes and corrections that hadn't been caught by contractor or previous inspections. Inexperienced and unprofessional. Needs to know what they are talking about before putting it in an inspection report that according to them can not be changed. Had to get a second inspection and special contractors to re-inspect only to find out there were no issues to begin with. Outstanding! This was a pre-sheet rock inspection on a new constructions. Picked them over my realtor recommendations based on Yelp and Google reviews. Might be a bit more, but well worth it. Was able to schedule the inspection via their website. Very convenient. Got confirmation emails the next day. Got an email from the scheduled inspector the next day. Excellent communications all around. They offer a $25 discount for military and veterans which is much appreciated. Was able to schedule the inspection on a weekend morning which fit our schedule. We purchased a fixer upper home in Round Rock and it was recommended that we get a home inspection along with our other reports. We used Hudson Home Inspections and were very happy. James, the owner, was very nice and very professional. He went over everything possible in the house with alot of detail. He found small things like the wrong wiring on the plugs and problems in places we would have never looked at. He explained everything to us and what we would need to bring the house back together.
